Gifting a PROJECT Skin during First Strike?

Will gifting a PROJECT Skin during First Strike unlock the PROJECT border for the person you're gifting, or just the skin? I'm assuming it would, but I just want to make sure.

Hey Nexustect!

If you gift someone a PROJECT: skin (Yasuo not included), the person receiving the gift will receive the First Strike border, as long as the gift was sent between September 8th - September 15th.

Yes, borders will unlock during first strike gifting.

The person will get the border too if I recall a post on PBE correctly.

quick question, will the border only show up when we play with the project skin? or will it show always? maybe a choice option for those who have rank borders??
