Aazulthra, the Betrayed Darkin

Introduction: I got my inspiration off of Aatrox's lore. Knowing there was five of the Darkin kind why not more of them. Anyways, I was hitting at a new jungle for the game and some stuff is inspirational for her abilities.

Costume: She has a whitish/grayish skin color to her. She has a breastplate that covers her breast and stomach. Then she has full leg armor all the way around and her butt. Also, her neck is not covered. She has some arm bracers to help cover the top of her arms but not underneath. Has a deep reddish or burgundy type of color of hair (darker than Miss Fortune). She has a circular object that rings around the top of her head like interwoven thorns (a skinny type of crown).

Props: She has a sword that is in between Kayle's and Riven's sword. It is golden with blue outlining and a red streak going towards the hilt that fades away towards the hilt. The sword is kinda split down the middle and basically two pointed ends and comes down to the hilt.

Personality: Anger/Hatred/Betrayed

Pronunciation: Aa-zul-thra

Stats: Health: 425 (+75) Mana: Health AD:47 (+6) AP:0 Armor:19 (+4.2) MR:29 (+.75) Health Regen: 5.5 Sec (+.55) Mana Regen: 6 sec (+.35) Movement Speed: 345 Attack Range: 150 (Melee)

Passive: Recollection-Every fifth or tenth auto-attack will give Aazulthra a percentage of mana and health back depending on the unit. Minions/Monsters: 1-6-(.75%), 6-12-(1.75%), 12-18-(3%). (Tenth Auto-Attack) Champion: 1-6-(1%), 6-12-(3%), 12-18-(5.75%). (Fifth Auto-Attack).

Q: Disparation-Aazulthra takes apart her sword splitting it in two causing her to attack twice. She dual wields the swords as two. Attack speed still applies. The first attack will be the normal auto-attack damage as the second one will be 50% of the normal auto-attack damage. Can toggle the mode back and forth between dual wield or single sword. If in single sword state auto's have an extra 5% damage. Range: Self Cost: 20/30/40/50/60 Health Duration: 2/3/3.5/4/5 Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11

W: Arcing Blade-Aazulthra uses the blade she wields to swing her blade at a 180 degree angle in front of her, damaging the enemies as well pushing them back for 250 units while slowing the enemy for 25% and reducing attack speed by 10%. If Aazulthra is in her Q state, then she will will have a further knockback of 300 units and slows the enemy by 30% and reduces attack speed of the enemy by 15%. Also, it will be an extra 50% damage on top of the damage. Range: 350 Damage per Level: 35/45/55/65/75 (+55% AD)/2 swords (+50%). Slow per Level: 1 sec/1.5 sec/2 sec/2.5 sec/3 sec Attack Speed Reduction Duration per Level: 1.5 sec/2 sec/2.5 sec/3 sec/3.5 sec Cooldown: 13. Cost: 5% of Current Health Example: Syndra's E ability allows her to push back enemies in a radius in front of her.

E: Runnan Blade-Aazulthra attacks the opponent selected in three quick successful fury attacks, can be blocked while blinded. With each attack gaining attack damage per hit. In her dual-wield state, she will attack 6 times instead, however does a base damage for every subsequent hit after the 3rd hit. On hit effects will count, such as life steal, hydra, frozen mallet, and etc. Range: Self Damage per Level: 1)1st-10/2nd-15/3rd-20/4th,5th,6th-25 2)1st-25/2nd-35/3rd-45/4th,5th,6th-50 3)1st-40/2nd-45/3rd-50/4th,5th,6th-55 4)1st-45/2nd-55/3rd-65/4th,5th,6th-70 5)1st-65/2nd-75/3rd-80/4th,5th,6th-85 (+55% AD). Cooldown per Level: 1-(12 sec), 2-(11 sec), 3-(10 sec), 4-(9 sec), 5-(8 sec) Cost: 40/50/60/70/80 Health Example: Just like Riven's Q it gains damage each time used. Instead of clicking your Q when you want in the time period it automatically uses the three abilities on the person.

R: Lockdown-Aazulthra splits her sword in two allowing her to throw her swords in a straight line, her sword can pass through minions. If a target is hit with one sword they will be slowed for a duration. If the same target is hit again they will be rooted for a duration. Aazulthra can not use her ultimate unless in her dual-wield form. Range: 550/600/675 Damage per Level: 1-per sword 75, 2-per sword 125, 3-per sword 175 (+70% AD) Slow per Level: 1-2 Sec (15%), 2-3 Sec (20%), 3-4 Sec (25%) Root per Level: 1-1.5 sec, 2-2.75 sec, 3-3.5 sec Cooldown per Level: 1-125, 2-110 sec, 3-95 sec Cost: 4%/6%/8%/10%/12% of Total Health

Lore: Aazulthra was one of the many Darkin that lived until the Battle of Souls. The battle was a civil war fought between the ancient race of Darkin. They fought each other, killing off their once dominant race, one by one. Sibling against sibling, parents against children, anyone who could fight.

Before the battle, she had asked her brother not to go through with the rebellion he was leading. Aatrox had said no, and said that unwillingness to fight is a sign of weakness. He told her to never to show that again, or consequences were to come. She knew that every Darkin in Aatrox's army that showed weakness was killed. Indefinitely, she went through with the rebellion to please her brother.

She was given her own platoon to lead over. Her and her brother were to meet at enemy headquarters. She had leadership born into her blood. This was an easy win. Then... when they met their first enemies. She saw then that she was given the worst of the bunch. She had to get into the fight to claim the victory. Dashing left to right, slashing everyone who lifted their blade to her. It was over as soon as it started. After a few more battles, she was soon down to about 5 good men and herself. When she was about halfway away from the enemy headquaters, she was suddenly ambushed by two Elders. The old men she had underestimated were not just council men, but they knew how to fight. They were quick and agile. Soon it was only her left to fight them after seeing her 5 good men go down like nothing. The battle started when the Elders advanced at her. She arced her sword in front of her, it was met with two swords to defect it, but they were thrown back. She ran and sliced perfusively at one of the Elders laying on the ground defenseless, he died. The other was quick behind her and already swinging his sword and caught her in her leg. She yelled in agony. With fury she quickly swung her sword in three quick successive attacks and killed him.

She progressed towards the enemy headquarters, trying not to limp. She conversed what had happened with Aatrox and he told her how he got ambushed by three Elders. Two went down, but the third ran away and Aatrox with his two best comrades stood. She noticed a blood trail and knew it was the Elder who ran. She asked if she should go trace him down, but he was as good as dead. Then Aatrox saw her leg. A gash so deep and long, she couldn't walk. He asked if she could walk and she said "No". Instead of killing her for the weakness he saw, he let her stay there as she watched Aatrox and his two comrades walk off in the horizon. She past out from blood loss.

Later she awoke, and saw a figure walk up to her. It wasn't her brother, but the Elder. She grab her sword, but dropped it due to her weakness. He immediately helped her and carried her into the wilderness. She does not know why he didn't kill her, but she thanked him. He crafted her a sword just like his. It split in two for dual wielding, it was something new she had to learn, but anything was easy for her. They traveled village to village. War to war, looking for her brother. Maybe they shared the same path and that's why he kept her around. She always pondered the thought of why the Elder didn't kill her when he had the chance, but she never brought it up. Though Aazulthra and the Elder did not see her brother until the war between Magelords and Protectorate, she knew next time she saw him she would seek vengeance upon him.

"Weakness is never a bad trait, it is just pain leaving the body." --Aazulthra

WHAT IF... she used her W right after her Q, then would two arcs go out to deal some extra damage, thad be sooper cool. I also feel that her R could be up graded? What ifs, she splits her blade in two, but while she has 1 in each hand she stabs them into the ground, and two Darkin energy rifts shoot out forward in a long range skill shot. Lets say she has to channel for 1 sec to complete this entire first section of the spell and cant move till its done. And if she channels for 1.5 sec longer, a larger (more damaging, that maybe applies a knock back) shock wave erupts forward inbetween the two smaller rifts from the blades, so if any one avoided the first two by going in between then they will get still hit. The area around her is affected by the sudden injection of Darkin energies and enemies that walk on the area 300 units around where she stabbed the ground are slowed and receive extra damage based on how long they are within the circle. The spell travels through the ground, so you still wouldnt have to worry about minions getting in the way. Enemies that are around her when she first stabs the ground are knocked up an receive a bigger, longer slow. I think id be cool if she had an ability to Aatrox, but diiferent, since they are related.

I felt that her current R wasnt AMAZING enough, it could really be a regular ability

e5411/11/2014, 1:11:14 AM1 votes

Thanks for the review, but what you said about her ultimate being a regular ability would be op. One: The cooldown on the ability would have to be in the range of 15-20 for a root that last up to that long. Leaving it as an ultimate doesn't make it become an ability that is used in laning phase to completely dominate their opponent. At level three her all in would be overpowering. Two: It is a very unique ability allowing for it to fit well as and ultimate. Overall changing the ultimate to an regular ability would seem OP in my eyes.

Bump, would like to see what everyone thinks and see if we think alike. If you like the idea and have more concepts for darkin champs I would love to collaborate with you. Anyways if you have a champion you would like me to review then link it and all I ask is just to review mine, thanks!

It's an interesting concept, the abilities have their quirks and specialties. She's generally a moderately fresh idea. My biggest issue would be her lore. From my perspective, the Darkin are, at this point, meant to be mysterious warriors. Also, the concept of feeling betrayed is too akin to Kalista. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/JQwYFluf-new-arrival-scelus-the-darkin-ripper Feel free to have a look, rate, evaluate, criticize, etc.

I think its pretty solid, but it would be cool to see some interaction between Q and her other abilities. The fact that your blade is in half would change a few things.

LichKing2347/11/2015, 10:05:25 PM1 votes

i like her but does she have to use mana? as a darkin wouldnt they use blood as there primary resource. other than that shes pretty cool

e547/14/2015, 12:09:02 AM1 votes

Well a few people said on my post in the previous forum boards said not to use blood, but mana as a source.

I really like this concept. I'd love for Riot to consider this, or just the fact that we want more Darkin considering they said there are four others besides Aatrox. Which, by the way, I love how you snuck that into her lore. Really good idea for her kit since she would be a sibling to Aatrox so similar styles. All in all a very good concept with very reasonable numbers.

Natsurr9/13/2015, 5:48:50 PM1 votes

She looks too much like Aatrox imo. Try to change the wings to make her more unique, by using Aatrox merely as an example. The kit is a good idea, I like the dual-wield-thingy. I just would say that her Q should be on the W spot, much like Aatrox' W. Btw, the deviantart link is down. Had to google it, which worked.
