Rally Sonata - An idea for support items
So you know how in solo queue, nobody knows where to go, what to do, and ends up just chasing kills and dying constantly? Enter, the Rally Sonata, the final quest reward for your support item. Basically, the Rally Sonata is a quest reward that unlocks after 1000 gold is aquired with your support item. Only the first person on each team to achieve 1000 gold with their support item will get this quest reward.
The Rally Sonata is activated by pinging on any map objective or enemy champion once. Destroying or killing the target within 40-60 seconds (depending on level) is going to give every ally in the area a burst of movement speed, health and mana, as well as 10-50 gold each. 180 second cooldown. (It goes on cooldown the moment you use it).
If the target is a baron, the baron buff duration is extended by 30 seconds for every ally in the area, and the cooldown of Rally Sonata is lowered by 30%, and if the target is an elder drake, the buff duration is extended by 20 seconds for every ally in the area, and the cooldown of Rally Sonata is lowered by 20%.
Notice that this will be available to all supports when they reach 1000 gold on their support item, so it will be available alot sooner on diligent supports than lazy ones.
I don't know, just a stupid idea I thought of off the top of my head. It's going to make supports a lot more impactful decisionmakers lategame. There's also a lot of responsibility hinging on them using it right, but the same can be said for any other role (Smite on junglers, for instance). I think this will help teams coordinate a lot more in lategame, and give a boost to people looking to siege a tower or go for that baron or elder. If this happened, I think we would see interest in the support role skyrocket, and there'd be a lot more support mains out there, as they would be required to use the Rally Sonata well in the lategame.
One thing I thought of was how to fix whether someone uses it the last second of an objective's life, to make sure you get the most out of it. That can be fixed by having a 10 second grace period, where if the objective dies before that, the Rally Sonata will not apply, and additionally will go on cooldown. That way, you have to use it preemptively, also on champions if you're going for that.
