Xehara, The Shuriman Exile
Hello, my name is Yuvn Ti (Pronounced You on Tea) (the V symbolizes an upside down A) Today, I will show you a champion that I have been working on both the storyline for, and the kit in general for about 2 years. My goal is to create a champion that resembles a true necromancer. Necromancer characters have always been my favorite type of characters, specifically involving bones. Xehara is pronounced Zeh-Hah-Rah.
One more thing before I start: He has necromantic abilities, but I have yet to figure out a way to implement it into his story until the very end of the lore.
Lore Xehara, at first, did not have a name. An orphan child, nobody knew where he came from. He himself has no memories of his past, nor does he know what his parents look like. Outcasted as an orphan, he was forced to live this lifestyle. Even to orphan children, he looked nothing like the people of Shurima. he had a single horn made of bone sticking out of his forehead. Even though he was a boy, he had very feminine like features on his face, and had long brown hair. He was forced to live on the streets of Nashramae. He did not beg for food or money. He had too much pride for that. His life of crime began with petty thievery, like food from a nearby Bazaar. Soon he found enjoyment in these acts, and did them more frequently, not just when he needed food. The crime organization in that city was a disgusting plague, living deep underground in sewers, and tormenting the homeless to join them [or face death.] Such was the case for such a young child. They forced him to join the mob of the sewers. He was proficient in his work, but petty stealing turned into assaults, stealing of more important items, and it only escalated from there. Before he knew it, he was asked to murder someone. A year ago, he would not have dreamed of doing such a thing. Nasus was a scholar in Nashramae at the time, and had been researching ways to infiltrate the mob of the sewers. A recent spy of his was found and killed by the mob. He was too much of a threat to the safety of the mob, so they used this as a test of worth for the child. If he died, that was fine by them. Young Xehara knew this and wanted to show them his strength. He had a plan to lure Nasus out, and finish the job quickly before escaping. His first attempt was stalled when he saw the book Nasus was carrying through the city. (This was before Nasus became ascended) He stole the book and fled to the sewers. That was his first face-to-face sight of Nasus. He read up on the book, which he learned was a book on curses and arcane magic. After about a few months of reading this book, he had learned quite a bit. He now was ready to face Nasus again and kill him as he had been asked to. All the plans he set up became null and void when an unknown force interrupted it. The rear entrance of Nashramae was being attacked by a creature from the void. Sand was being thrown everywhere and made it hard to see. This creature was upwards of 30 feet tall, with six legs and an elongated tail. Its head was shielded by a thick protective bone, with its only holes being for the small eye in the center, and the mouth. Nicknamed the basilisk, this creature has been talked about in legend in Shuriman literature, but has not seen the light of day in centuries. The young child used this opportunity to be viewed as a hero by the people of Shurima. Much to his surprise, the creature had fallen easily to him, despite many soldiers dying in the previous skirmish. Using arcane magic similar to the likes of Rzye [but not near as strong obviously,] he killed the creature and shattered the bone on its face. He broke off a piece of the bone, using it as a mask. The eyehole of the creature fit perfectly over his horn, covering his whole face. The city thanked him for the efforts. They dragged said creature into the middle of the city as a public display of might. He then did the unthinkable. He attempted to use his necromantic spells he learned to reanimate the Basilisk to do his bidding. He only succeeded in reviving a now-skeletal form of the creature. It ravaged the city, destroying buildings and injuring Nasus. The Shuriman government thought of this as a planned attack on the city, but he was praised by the mob. As a result, he was banished from Shurima, and an order to kill on sight was issued if he was found again in Shurima. The mob praised him for what they called "the rebellion." After about a year of banishment, which he used to further his studies of the arcane magic and necromancy, they snuck him back in the city. To make sure he wasn't recognized, they used the blood of a rat to taint the bone mask with blood. He became the face of the mob, and soon assumed leadership. That is when they gave him the name Xehara, meaning "Exiled Witch." [he then had to explain that despite his feminine appearance and long hair, he was in fact not a girl.] He planned another attack on Nasus, but this time he was unprepared. While he was gone, he had improved his skills, but so did Nasus. He had become ascended. The fight, that Xehara was obviously losing, had made the people of Shurima spread around the return of the child. The name "Xehara" had been spreading for quite a while now. Now he had the whole town against him. He fled into the sewers, and was chased down them. He ran until he caught himself into a dead end, with Nasus cornering him. He swung the staff against his face, breaking the mask. When the mask was broken, it unleashed a spirit of the void. For the first time in his life, Nasus was frightened. The void opened a portal behind Xehara. Not knowing anything else to do, and knowing that his life in Shurima was as good as over, he and 3 of his friends jumped into the portal. When he went inside, time slowed down for them. he was stuck in a pitch black atmosphere, unable to move his lower body. After what seemed like forever in this haze, he saw a weird tendril come out to him. It then struck at his friends, and before he knew it, he saw multiple tendrils mauling the thugs that joined him. He cast a protective shell around him of bone, but could not see his friends getting slaughtered. The noises of the dead stopped after a while, and he fell into a deep sleep. Thud. The shell he cast around himself crashed into the ground. When he exited the shell, the sight was gruesome. He only saw three things: ripped rags of the thugs that escaped with him, a pool of blood around him, and their bones. All he could do was weep. He had been sitting there for quite a while until he was not-so-nicely greeted by a soldier. The soldier welcomed him to Noxus, the land he had fell into. The soldier said that people saw him as a comet in the sky. Xehara told him where he came from, and how he has nowhere to go. the soldier explained how unforgiving Noxus was, and unless you were seen as a strong warrior, you were thrown in the dirt. He took this as a challenge. After proving himself to the militia of Noxus, they had only three questions for him: What is your name? Where does your loyalty lie? How can you prove to us that your spirit isn't weak? He had no loyalty, at least not yet. But he said that he had loyalty for Noxus, and they accepted it. But when he first appeared, he was crying. That is a sign of weakness. They asked him to prove he was not weak, nor a coward. He cut out his left eye. They took it as a sign of strength, and quickly wrapped up his injury. He got a bed and a home temporarily, and he finally fell asleep after a few days. He dreamed of the void, and the mysterious creature that killed his friends. It called out to him, and proposed power for a sacrifice: His other eye. He accepted, and the void gave him true sight. But the void also showed him the future, where the void had destroyed all of current civilization. Frightened, He awoke, and immediately noticed the tattoo under his eye. He recognized it was a rune, assuming it was from the void. He then noticed what littered the floor: The bones of his friends. As a way to pay tribute, he used the bones as a way to fight: A conjoined Humerus and Ulna he sharpened, and used as one sword, and the spinal cord as a whip. He conjoined the Phalanges and scapulas to use as shoulder plates. he put back together the mask that Nasus broke. Lastly, he cut his hair short. For the next few years, he had learned about the way of the city, and what had been going on with Ionia and Demacia. He disagreed with the unfair dictatorship of Ionia, but he knew that they would kill him if he spoke against them, so he stayed silent. After a while, he had learned that Nasus had joined the league of legends. He decided to join, using the league as a way to get back at Nasus for breaking his mask, and he blamed him for the death of his friends.
