So I got permabanned in a normals game for going an ultimate bravery. I even said so in pre game chat. I was in a four man group. How is this bannable when we tried?

Also I think Ultimate Bravery in anything but a full 5man could pretty easily be considered trolling.

This one looks like you being mean i was in voice chat and ultimate bravery says to unbind your ward key and not to ward, but he forgot to. so he unbinded it early on, and in 20 minutes singed (the 5th man) still had less vision score, that was the joke

the flex thing was me talking to them about an idea where we get a five man and see how far we climb in flex doing just ultimate bravery.

and the teemo god was ironic because he tried to 1v3 and got one shot. and he said "lmao" in voice chat instead of laughing

and i was saying NEVER SURRENDER DEMACIAAAAAAA because we lost a 1v4 to nasus and i said not to give up (we lost the fight)

and the last part was where we get a five man and we do amazing but right before we win we surrender, giving the enemy the win just as a joke.

Even in context it sounds kinda mean. It might be fair, but fair things can still be said in a mean way.

The other things, when in context, seem like reasonable human things, but the last one really really needs the context to make it not bad.

I wouldn't say so, but Riot has a system that they follow. If you were on your "last strike" anything becomes worth a perma to Riot, which isn't unreasonable IMO.

Refusing to wards / encouraging it IS bannable, you apparently took mids Cs (assuming he wasn't qued with you), you claimed you weren't trying to win, you used hate speech.

If your insult involves a word that's derogatory towards a certain group, yes it can be considered hate speech. "You're gay," might seem like a harmless joke, but it's insulting a person based on their sexual orientation.

That might not mean anything to anyone in your pre-made, but realize that you expose that other teammate to this, and they may not be ok with your behavior.

  • He didn't insult someone based on their sexual orientation. He insulted someone using a word that can describe someone's sexual orientation. It's not the same thing.

It's like if I said "What are you, #$*&^ Irish?" and then you said I used a word that's derogatory towards a certain group (when "Irish" isn't derogatory) and then insulted them based on their nationality (their nationality wasn't the basis for being insulted).

I'm not defending the OP, but you missed the mark here.

I respectfully disagree.

When you use insults, like calling someone gay or retarded, you're not just saying something to insult them, but also implying that the word you used has a negative connotation. You're putting that connotation onto whomever you were trying to insult. I don't view "gay" as derogatory, but when you use it to insult someone, then you're at least thinking it's negative enough to use as an insult.

i wasn't saying that to insult someone at all actually. I was talking to my own team when they said something in voice chat. as a joke. as a quote from a youtube video. how is that "toxic" and how is four people playing differently "ruining people's games?"

the only person who's game was "ruined" was the 5th person on our team. and the singed never spoke a word all game so i dont see how that ruins anything for him. the enemy team had an easy win and it was normals anyway.

I go a 14 day ban for asking my teamate why they banned my intended pick, an then in game they went and inted on eve jungle on purpose when we was winning cause i didnt deserve the win.

To be fair using the term gay as an insult is offensive. "That was gay" or "You are so gay" being used as a term as something bad(even if it's common) is not a good way to claim that what you said ISN'T hate speech.

Funny thing about that. I said that because we were going ultimate bravery, and that I was probably going to get banned because of that. The riot employee however, literally said that it was because of my chat behavior, and not at all about the way I was playing. If you read the whole thing that makes it obvious.
