Here's an Idea for new low level players!
Maybe when you reach level 5, 10, 15 etc. you get a free champion of your choice? its hard to grind for rune pages champs and when your lv 30 you still dont have most of what you need.

I think that would be beneficial for everyone, I also think riot should add in a feature where players can rent a champ for x amount of IP (not a lot im think of like 10% of the actual price) for maybe 3-5 games just to allow players to get a feel before they purchase an in-particular champion
yeah i totally agree!
3 things, you cant use in ranked, and you can only rent once (reworks reset this), and you cant earn key frags/chests
I agree, maybe not key fragments but yes to the other things
IDK Why but for some reason i always hated the renting system in all games.
I mean, you can always just spend real money for RP and buy champions and/or rune pages. Don't destroy me in the replies, Riot is a company and needs to make money, and this is probably a good way to make some. Level 30 players do not have enough champions to get into ranked gameplay, so they probably spend some money on it.
If you want to go money-free, then just grind through some more games. Game is completely free to play after all, no one forces you to pay anything, but at the same time, Riot needs to make money, and I believe that this is a good way.
Riot makes enough money on skins, and giving access to more champions would encourage bigger champion pools and thus raise the demand for skins.
i think 5 should let you unlock a 450ip, 10 a 1350ip, 15 a 1350ip, 20 a 3150ip, 25 a 4800ip, and then 30 gives a free 6300ip champ.
Daily reminder that you need to win 5 games per day + first win for AT LEAST a week in order to unlock a 6300 champ.
And then rito wonders why people don't play support
(which she kinda sucks right now)
(4800)
1: How did you not mention

2: There's always
who are all 3150 or less.
Sure supports have some expensive champions, but so do most roles.
Oh right, i benched the kench and i forgot bard because i have him already lol.
*notices lux and jaws music starts playing
Also annie and naut aren't there, how come?
i missed lulu, trundle and ali too
I have had the wonderful experience of getting thirteen of my thirty-one Champions for free, so I'm not really unhappy with my experience of getting Champions. I also participated in a few party IP events where I got ridiculous amounts of IP that I spent on Champions and Runes.
Order of champions:
Lissandra - My friend recommended her when I listed out the initial free champions, said she was a top tier mid - Got around level 11 Vi - I wanted a jungler because according to my friend "No one can jungle pre-thirty, so if you can jungle then you'll be set," and since my friend played her in the matches we were in, I wanted her - Got around level 14 Sona - I wanted a support since "Most people don't know how to support pre-twenty either, so if you can support you'll be all set," and she was the most fun out of all the supports I played when free (Soraka, Sona, Lux, Lulu, Nami) - Got around level 15 Quinn - Got as part of the free Champion giveaway from Pool Party 2015 - Got around level 24 Garen - Got as part of Twitter Promotion (decided to make a fake Twitter too since I was making a fake Facebook) - Got around level 24 Tristana - Got as part of Facebook promotion (decided that since I was making an account to take advantage of Quinn, why not also get Tristana) - Got around level 24 Alistar - Got as part of Youtube promotion (decided that since I was taking advantage of the other two free Champions I might as well take advantage of free Alistar) - Got around level 26
Friendly reminder that you can get Riot Girl Tristana, Dreadknight Garen, and Unchained Alistar by liking/following/subscribing to Riot's official FB page, twitter feed, and Youtube channel.
There, there's your free champions.

Yep, I don't know if you read my story, but those promotions plus the Pool Party champion giveaway allowed me to more than double my champion pool. I loved it! I already had a middle laner and a jungler, so I was all set in terms of lanes.
How hard is it for low levels to buy the 450 ip ones? Then there's also the free ones you get for following Riot on social media.
Mystery champion permanent for a chosen role. Choose marksman, get random marksman (minus Teemo/Kennen)
Think you should just unlock Teir 3 tunes and more run pages as you go. 2 Rune pages and sinking all your IP from level 0-30 to just get 1 rune page is stupid.
oryou could quit exaggerating.
Had 2 rune pages when I hit 30, and enough champions for ranked.

You probably bought some champs with real money.
Or, maybe he started playing before they cut the experience needed to level in half. So he spent twice as long leveling to 30 and earned twice as much IP as folks do nowadays.
this guy gets the cake^^^^^
Calvin and Hobbes is Awesome....
Tbh you really only need 2 rune pages, but having more champs is nice.
Until you decide to diversify. Not everyone is only AD or only AP. Minimum I'd say is 4, AD, AP, HP, and either split AD/AP or Support (Gold quints and CDR). If you've only got 2 rune pages, you're pretty severely limiting yourself unless you specialize in only one role.
I have AD, AP, Hybrid + AS and Mpen singed.
This helps me in most situations even though they often aren't optimized for the champ. however ad and ap have gotten me through alot early on.
I have 3 pages on AP alone with various levels of CDR in them.
I really do need all of them too because (for example) I don't buy Zhonya's in every game, and that changes how much CDR is in my build which must then be adjusted to with runes.
You don't only really need 2 rune pages. There are so many things you can create with rune pages. Every champion can be able with multiple rune set depending on the position, playstyle, opponent etc. Don't be one of those players who own every champion and only have 2 rune pages and can't get out of bronze because their runes are suboptimal. YES, runes DO decide the outcome of a game pretty often. If you can have designated rune pages for every single match-up you can face in the mid lane for example, then you can win this lane more often than not, thus winning the game more often than not.

Yes thats true, but rune pages rarely decide the outcome of a game. Sure you can have a rune page for each general matchup, but getting armor runes instead of hp runes don't help you that much. The only thing i would buy extra rune pages for are for tanks (i don't play them), and cdr, which is why i just bought 2 more rune pages last week.
fyi, I got to gold 2 with 2 rune pages. Faker's challenger smurf has 2 rune pages.
IK someone with 9 rune pages who was stuck in silver
Apparently you haven't used multiple pages to see how important they are. That said, they are not necessary, a basic page for AD and a basic page for AP, if at all. Skill is required much more. But you can be so much better with a good rune page.

Sure, you will rise a tier or two if you have really good rune pages, but they won't make a silver leveled player be stuck in bronze or something like that.
I read an idea on the boards that said that we should get a price reduction on champs that are free that particular week of we play 10 or so games with that champion and I think it's a really cool idea.
I mean this is basically an issue of buying mostly the 6300s through that. Thats what id do. I personally think just an IP rebalance is needed.
hey, that's a pretty good idea actually. maybe at certain milestones make it a 1350,3150,4800, then 6300 or whatever.
You shouldn't be purchasing runes or rune pages before level 30. Once you figure out what your main is and you hit 30, rune for specific roles. I roll around with armor pen and crit runes, flat armor yellows and scaling MR blue. Also purchasing all champions below the 4800 champions should be a long term goal.
I have a better idea for new low level players....
i prefer underwatch
That's a great idea!! I remember when I first started playing and it felt like it took years to get 6300 ip for the champs I wanted at that time.
This would be nice. I remember how grindy and boring it was trying to get Lulu and Nami waaaaay back.
"Insert random comment from some bitter player who feels that people are "too entitled these days" and need to work for more."
The Rune and Mastery system needs to go anyway. League of Legends is one of the only games where it is actually harder for new players to get into the game.
when i was new, i thought higher IP price = better champion even if new players know IP price and champ strength have no correlation, they would still be incentivized to select watever has highest IP price to save as much IP as possible it'd be way better to give sets of widely-used runes n perhaps 7-day duration champ like the one in hextech system
honestly they should expand the free week for players 15 and below to 20 champs that way they have diversity to try and everything. Also make aram ALL random as in the full champ pool unlocked this will solve only aram accounts.
