Reference fully intended, but Bards lore as a wandering caretaker throughout time gives the potential that he could have fought and slain a dragon.

Honestly, I really like the reference, but at the same time I think this would be a really nice skin on him.

I doubt that'll happen, because Bard is there to keep the peace, and balance. Dragons, as a rule, don't destroy the balance. Humans do.
