Cypher's Finale - Book 3. New mechanics explored!

Though the character name is the same, this is a new gameplay kit of my own design.

TLDR; Cypher is a man locked in time. With a dagger in his heart, he is cursed to live forever, unable to experience the forward progress of time. With him is Times Child, a child prodigy who writes his story.

~ Finale ~

Who knew a body impervious to the concepts of time could grow weary? A mind so complex could degrade and collapse? A power so incomprehensible could wane? Cypher's breath was ragged. A scratch of soft air. He never could quit the habit. Breathing, such an amazing complex he took for granted. He didn't have a need to breath or blink, to sigh or scratch an itch, but he did anyway. He kept himself human after all these years. In the eyes of the gods, was he even human? Was he immortal? He's been searching for answers to much simpler questions for a millennia. He took in Times Child and before he finished his breath, buried them. The toll was unexpectedly hard - seeing Times Child grow old. It left Cypher hollow, an emotion he didn't think he could feel. Cypher forced out another fleeting breath. His once rhythmic clock now out of sync. The timepiece he held on was shattered, but he never let it go.

For a millennia he's been trapped under this spell, searching for answers. He now had them.

Cypher was determined to break this spell and be free. He knew the moment the dagger released its spell, he would die. He knew it was just as likely to be agonizing as it was to be near instant. He would be free, regardless. Though Cypher kept his sturdy exterior, he was weak. He was barely able to drag his feet across the soil. Lifting a sword or axe was even further out of the question. He left everything to the magic in the dagger. A magic, he noticed, which has waned. He has drained what was thought to be an infinite amount of power from the dagger, and using the last of his strength, he will drain the last drop. Cast one final spell.

Release.




Cypher is resourceless, as he draws from the dagger embedded into his heart. In order to finalize the cast of Release, one of the two nexus' must be destroyed. (He is freed after the game ends, regardless of Win/Loss)

He is in the context of a SUPPORT in this version.

**Passive: Spiritual Drain**
Cypher physically cannot auto attack enemies. He instead connects his spirit to an enemy, standing still in the process. Allies who attack enemies that Cypher is draining deal (50% Cypher AD + 25% Cypher AP) bonus damage. There is no limit to how fast this can tick.

After assisting 500/1000/1500/2000 (1, 6, 11, 16) he collects an Ethereal Rune. (Leveling to a level threshold adds 500 to his stacks.) He can hold 5 Ethereal runes.

**Q: Anatomize**
Cypher deconstructs and reconstructs an ally or an enemy.

Ally: Cleanse of CC and heals them for 10/20/30/40/50% of the damage dealt to them while CC'd. (+/- Cypher receives the CC onto himself)
Enemy: Silences and disarms briefly (while deconstruct animation is active) then deals 50/100/150/200/250 (+15% AP) damage.

**W: Link**
Cypher blinks to an ally location. This does not break Spiritual Drain if the ally is still within range. Shields both the ally and him for 30/50/70/90/110 (+80% AP) for 2 seconds. Can be recast if the shield active, transferring the remainder to his new target.

**E: Stalwart**
Cannot be leveled until W is unlocked.
Cypher transfers debuffs and damage from his last Linked ally (if within range) to himself. Can only transfer 1/1/1/1/2 debuffs and 15/20/25/30/35% of the damage as percent max health true damage (If the ally takes 50% of their life bar, 35% of that is directed to Cypher as 17.5% max health true damage)
_50% of the damage absorbed adds to his Spiritual Drain_

**R: Release**
_Consumes ALL Ethereal Runes_
Cypher tears the dagger from his chest, and after a delay ascends into the air in a stasis. The dagger releases its remaining energy into a large AoE circle. All allies in the circle take 60/75/90% reduced physical damage and 50/60/70% reduced magic damage. All damage is redirected to Cypher, who stores it. When the spell is released, he falls to the ground and the spell collapses on him. He takes 100/200/300% of the stored damage. If this kills Cypher, he radiates his core, dealing the final damage divided into 20 parts around him. (If he absorbs 1,000 damage at rank 3, then he takes 3,000 damage. 3000 damage divided into 20 parts is 150 per bolt.) Each bolt can only strike one unit. Units can be struck by more than one bolt.

_Cypher cannot cast this without at least 1 Ethereal Rune.
Every Ethereal rune increases the duration by 1 second (minimum time is 1 second)_
