League Themed Wedding, LF Reds to reply!

So, my boyfriend and I first met each other on league of legends maybe two years ago. We started to frequently duo or team together, always playing Jinx and Thresh bot lane. Since meeting, we've had promise rings with "duo queued" inscribed inside of them to honor our meeting place.

Now we've advanced to the next level. We're looking at engagement rings, but I've always imagined our wedding to be League themed with the cute figurines as our wedding cake toppers, etc. I'd like to see if there was a Riot employee who could preform our marriage, but support can't help. They said only the boards can!

So here we are, please upvote to get Riot's attention!!! I think it'd be really fitting to be married by a Riot employee after dedicating so much time and relationship to this game!!

First off, congratulations! ^-^

Someone had tweeted out to me asking about this. Unfortunately, I'm elbows deep in my own wedding planning (getting married in September!), so I won't be able to help out with this. D: (Sorry!)

However, I would be happy to help out with suggestions, as our wedding also has some League of Legends accents - such as naming the tables after our favorite champions - and I'm sitting at the Nexus! Oh, and the family we're not too fond of is sitting as Teemo. ;)

That would be awesome for sure! It's more than fine if you can't help, I"m just looking for if any Rioter is authorized to marry someone, because it'd just be the cherry on top of the cake if it was Riot certified, if you get what I mean ;P

Ps, I'm considering making small replicas of a tower, one red side and one blue, as possible side decorations for either at the alter or reception! And thinking possible thresh lantern replicas with green flowers for the spooky glow, or jinx chompers as centerpieces for tables :)

Good luck on your wedding, especially as it's soon coming! So exciting to see how this game can inspire <3

Those decorations would be killer! For our centerpieces, since the tables are named after champions, the flowers in the center have accents of the champion. So, Teemo has a Teemo shroom in the center, Lux has her staff, Morgana has her shield, etc. Depending on your colors, Thresh lanterns could be awesome - you could even base them off a skin if the base doesn't match your color scheme. ;) Wards may also make sweet centerpieces (that was originally my idea).

I'm also contemplating walking up the aisle to Quinn & Valor's theme. We have a ton of awesome music that you may consider incorporating as well!

Our vows have 'never one without the other' included, too, haha.

That is pretty cool, and fits with the wedding bill :) I didn't consider other skins for Thresh, but admittedly blood moon goes well with firecracker Jinx for a nice oriental style wedding, which fits because I'm Asian ahah!

It's really cool that you're using accents of each though, I actually want to do that as well, but possibly with using staffs for the groomsman/bridesmaids to walk the aisle with, and maybe a barrel to throw them in during the procession. Maybe Taric's old warhammer too :D Are you doing anything fun with your cake?

Ahhh, there are so many accents you could use - WK Katarina and Nidalee came to mind.

Haha, that's awesome! For the cake, we're going a bit more traditional in terms of style, but are still considering some kind of cake topper. This is one of the few things we haven't nailed down, haha.

Definitely start early - pick all of your wedding vendors ASAP so you get what you want. I highly suggest theknot.com for planning - they suggest all kinds of vendors, and show you the top rated/ones that have won awards. They also offer a killer wedding checklist. ^-^

FWIW I don't think it's very difficult to be "ordained", as it were, to officiate nuptials. I've heard of several instances of friends getting an online ordination in order to perform ceremonies for their good friends, etc.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that The Rock officiated a wedding for a super fan good friend of his not too long ago...
