Fan-Made Champion: Torin, the Irosian Artist

Hi everyone. I've decided that - after a long while - to try making a new fan-made League champion. A Support this time around. And as such I've created Torin. I'm actually kinda shy to post this on dA as well as here, since I can't write League lore worth a crap but still decided to try it out. But as I've placed in the title, Improvements are heavily welcomed. Without further ado, let's get to it.

Role: Support/Mage Damage: AP Resource: Mana Friends: Undecided Rivals: Urgot, any others undecided

BASE STATS [EDIT: Changed to match a Support/Mage, were formerly Support/Tank stats]

Health – 511 HP per Level - +77.8 HP Regen – 5.42 HP Regen per Level – +0.55 Mana – 365 Mana per Level – +53 Mana Regen – 8.5 Mana Regen per Level - +0.8 Attack Damage – 51.49 Attack Damage per Level - +3 Attack Speed – 0.625 Attack Speed per Level - +1.95% Attack Range – 550 Armor – 19.22 Armor per Level - +4 Magic Resist – 30 Magic Resist per Level - +0 Movement - 335

ABILITIES [EDIT: Changed the scaling ratios to match a Mage Support]

**PASSIVE – IROSIAN CRAFT ** As Torin moves around, he builds up stacks of Paint, which build up to 100 stacks every 5800/5000/4200 units. When his Paint stacks reach 100 stacks, it becomes a stack of Color Vials. Each stack of Color Vials gives him a +5 flat movement speed boost per stack (there is no cap on the stacks). Using abilities cost a stack of Color Vials to make them stronger. His ult will consume all stacks to last longer

**Q – CRIMSON WRATH ** Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds Mana Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 Mana Cast Range: 950 Units Splash Range: 450 units (Cone) Missile Speed: 1650 units Torin sends a blast of red paint at the foe, striking the first foe hit for 70/105/140/175/210 damage (+40% AP)(+30 flat damage with a Color Vial) and splattering against the foes behind them for 15/20/25/30/35 (+%15 AP)(+15 flat damage with a Color Vial) damage over 1.5 seconds

W – VIRIDIAN SAFEGUARD Cooldown: 13 seconds Mana Cost: 90 Mana Cast range: 650 units AoE range: 350 units Torin establishes a small zone on the map that heals the first ally to make contact with it for 170/180/190/200/210 HP (+25% AP) (+25 flat HP with a Color Vial) and heals for 12% less with each subsequent passing. Also speeds up allies for a +65% movement speed boost that decays over 2 seconds.

E – AZURE GALES Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 seconds Mana Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Cast range: 900 units AoE Slow range: 500 units Torin flings a sphere of blue paint that, after a 0.25 second delay, sends out a wave of wind that deals 40/45/50/55/60 (+20% AP) damage and applies a 20/25/30/35/40% slow (+10% with a Color Vial)

R – MONOCHROME INTERLUDE Cooldown: 190/180/170 seconds Initial Mana Cost: 100 Mana/50 Mana Per Second Range: 700 units At the cost of mobility, Torin creates an expanding dome of black and white that protects allies that get within it, while also slowing down enemies (75% slow) that enter it, as well as their attacks (50% slow) (The exclusion to this are towers). This ability uses all current stacks of Color Vials first, but from then on drains mana over the course of its usage. However, any attacks that are launched within the barrier causes damage to Torin himself (75% of all damage)

TORIN, THE IROSIAN ARTIST LORE

“Some say art imitates life. I use it to protect life.”

Runeterra is a land of many legends, stories passed down from generations spanning back decades and even centuries. Legends centered around ancient figures, monsters, and weapons. One of these legends centers around an old village that resided deep within Ionia, a village known as the Irosi. The Irosi were rumored to have developed a strange form of magic. This Irosian art was the method of binding magic to paint, and then utilizing this paint to imbue effects onto whatever this paint made contact with. The Irosi used this art to treat the sick, as was their creed.

For many years, the Irosians continued to use their talents in this manner, and teach it to their successors. One of these successors was a young boy named Torin. Torin was no prodigy in the Irosian Craft. In fact, Torin had very little knowledge nor desire to learn the Craft. Torin instead desired to travel the world, to see the many wonders that existed. Although the elders of the Irosian village saw nothing wrong with these desires, it was seen as slightly foolish to completely forgo learning their village’s infamous skill.

Over the years of Torin’s life, the village resumed their efforts of attempting to convince Torin to learn the Craft. And soon enough, he began to relent, and began to learn. While he was not a master of painting, he found a talent in the enchanting of the paint itself. He found newer ways to use the Irosian Craft, particularly to not only heal and tend to the sick, but to defend them as well. He feared that his village would hold contempt for using the Craft for something other than why it was created, and sought to keep his work under wraps.

His attempts were short lived.

In what seemed all too sudden for him, the Irosi were attacked. All of Ionia was being attacked by the soldiers of Noxus. The Irosi village was unfortunately one of the first to be attacked, and as such, were not ready. The bloodthirsty warriors assaulted the village of healers, and managed to slaughter many of the Irosi with ease. The only thing that managed to hold them off, even slightly, was Torin.

Using his version of the Irosian Craft, he managed to fight off a portion of the soldiers. Hues of red burned his foes like flames, shades of blue impeded their steps, and colors of green kept his fellow villagers safe. It wasn’t until he encountered a man who different from the normal ranks. This man was stronger, much more brutal, and – no matter how many times Torin tried to defeat him – simply refused to die. This man defeated the much less combat experienced Torin, and captured him as a prisoner of war. The last sight Torin saw was the destruction of the village he called home.

After being brought to Noxus, Torin was made into a prisoner, destined to fight in The Fleshing. Although he did indeed create a combat oriented version of the Irosian Craft, he refused to use it for the entertainment of Noxus. This, of course, created more problems between himself and his captors. His captors began to beat him each time he refused to take a life in the Fleshing. Despite this, he continued to refuse, and sought for a way to escape.

After many months, Torin managed to find a manner in which to do this. By what seemed like luck, he managed to recover a small bottle of pure, black ink. Torin didn’t know what would quite happen with enchanting ink, but he did so regardless. To his surprise, the process hurt tremendously, and he let out a mighty scream. As he did so, everything changed around him. The walls were all white, and the Noxian guards were blackened silhouettes. On the contrary to all of this, the fellow prisoners were completely unaffected. Torin took this as his chance, and set to free them.

With every prisoner that he was able to rescue freed, Torin made a decision. As long as people were in pain or suffering, he would find them. He would save them. He would ease their troubles. As such, he began his journey, his journey to use his village’s art to help as many as possible. From that day on, Torin became a wandering legend. A man who used – of all things – paint to protect those in time of need.

I would also probably try my hand at things like taunts, jokes, and dances, but once again I'm not all too good/confident that I could make some competent ones. So either way, I hope you guys can enjoy ^^[slayer-jinx-wink]

[EDIT: At some point I may change his stats and ability ratios to make him into a Mage Support instead]

[EDIT 2: Has been made into a Mage/Support now, working on dialogue for champion, any and all ideas for jokes, taunts, and general banter is allowed]

Interesting Idea good work on this concept. The concept art is a bit corny tho. Work on a appealing art concept that pops out more and it would be awesome.

Made a few changes, he's a Mage Support now. But the AP ratios might be a tiny bit off.
