Champion Concept: Animi, The Noxian Mediator 2.0

Animi is a squishy, ranged Support who relies on debuffing the enemy. His main focus in lane is to keep the enemy from being able to attack due to a lack of mana. This focus switches to helping in teamfights in the roaming phase with his ultimate or he can stay with his ADC and help pick off the enemy one by one. To balance out his utility he has relatively average AP ratios and average base stats. Besides utility, Animi does have some sustain, mainly mana focused, but can shield his ADC. He isn't completely helpless on his own but it would take a skilled player to 1v1 someone as Animi. To make up for his squishiness he has a base movement speed of 340 and an AA range of 575. In case any of you are wondering why it's 2.0 it is because this is my remake of the original champion concept.

Now onto his abilities,

Passive: Hope, all allied champions within 950 units of Animi gain increased mana regeneration.

Q: Sympathy, Animi tethers himself to the enemy dealing 60/100/140/180/220 (+70% Ability Power) over 3 seconds and slowing them by 20/25/30/35/40% increasing up to an extra 5% as he gets closer to the tethered enemy. If the tether is maintained for all 3 seconds Animi drains 10% of the enemies remaininng mana. Range: 650 Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 mana

W: Fear, Animi creates thoughts of fear in a single enemy champion, leaving them feared for 1 second and reducing their armor by 6/10/14/18/22 and magic resist by half that amount for 2 seconds. Passive: Animi gains 2/4/6/8/10% cooldown reduction. Range: 600 Cost: 65 mana at all ranks

E: Empathy, Animi shields himself or an ally champion for 80/120/160/200/240 (+50% Ability Power) with half of its shield amount converting into mana after 5 seconds. Range: 800 Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 mana

R: Serenity, Animi cast a giant AoE that silences all enemy champions inside it and lasts for 2/3.5/5 seconds. (Due to the nature of this ultimate I decided to make it a non-damage dealing ability to balance it out. In case it's still a little to overpowered I was thinking to maybe make it blind instead of silence.) Range: Global Cost: 150 mana

It's a bit confusing on what to max first, you can max Q first if you want to deal damage, W if you want to leave enemies vulnerable for your ADC and extra CDR, or E so you can keep your ADC alive longer in fights. Personally, I'd max W, E, then Q but it's up to the player really.

Animi is a support that focuses heavily on debuffing the enemy and is mostly utility, leaving him lacking in hard crowd control for a typical support. Due to this, his ideal lane partner is an ADC that either has enough crowd control to make up for his lack of it, Jinx and Jhin, or ADCs that can burst down the enemy fast enough, Vayne and Lucian.

Lore:

Born to a low class family in the heart of Noxus, Animi was no stranger to hardships. He had seen everything there was to see in the slums of the city, from watching street urchins starve to death for anybody to see to watching thieves get their hands cut off for stealing nothing more than a loaf of bread. Through it all though, he has maintained his hope for a better future, one where all Noxian citizens can know joy.

At the age of eight, Animi's mother sent him out to find a job so he could provide for the family. It was on that very day he met Sir Claude, a professor at Noxus' infamous Bleak Academy, and became the man's errand boy. In this man Animi found a kindred spirit, a friend, who shared his views on Noxus. Where others would bow without question to Noxian High Command, Claude would fearlessly protest, during the Noxian invasion of Ionia not a day went by that Animi wasn't out fetching water for his master to drink as he protested against the invasion. It was also during this time that Animi had discovered his arcane potential, specifically his innate ability to control the emotions of others. He soon became Claude's apprentice, gaining admission to Bleak Academy. During their days they would talk for hours on end about how Noxus could change, how Noxus could learn from Demacia instead of waging war against them.

On one day however, without notice, Claude was called up to report to Noxian High Command. On that day Animi swore he saw a fear unlike any other upon his masters face. Before Claude left he only said two things to his pupil, that he was terribly proud of him and glad to find a single friend in this place and that if he did not return by tomorrow to get look for his journal and read the last page. Animi was confused by promised his masters and waved goodbye as the old man rushed to High Command for a fate only he knew. The following morning Claude did return, but not in the way Animi wanted. On the doorstep of his dorm room was a simple box, nothing special about it, but what laid inside was the head of his dear friend. Later he found out Claude was executed for conspiring with Demacia. Animi was at a loss for words, for 4 days and 4 nights Animi cried for the loss of his friend. He swore vengeance against all of Noxus, for in his mind, all were to blame for his master's death. For letting somebody who only wanted to help the world die was unforgivable. Before he began his march on High Command, sure he was going to die and at least be with his friend again, he remembered the note he was supposed to read. In the note was Claude's final words, a promise he wanted Animi to keep. The promise was for Animi to keep up the fight, to never give up hope for a better future for Noxus and its people. Treasuring his friend, he promised to never lose hope.

Animi later graduated Bleack Academy at 17 surpassing all his peers. Soon he registered for enlistment in the Noxian military and became an arcane advisor. Through this position Animi seeks to control those around him to create the perfect Noxus he believes is possible, one were hardships would be a thing of the past and families wouldn't have to abandon their children just to get by. But sometimes, Animi questions if the people of Noxus can be saved.

When it comes to looks, Animi is sort of a plain Jane, there's nothing that really makes him stick out. I imagine with him with more of an androgynous appearance, somewhat like Ezreal, having a slim build and finer facial features such a high cheekbones and a small chin. He would have pale skin with shoulder length brown hair and big brown eyes, maybe some freckles. I don't really know what he would wear but I kinda want to see him in like a classic mage robe with some boots, and like silver wrist guards. It's just nice to see some diversity in body types.I really, REALLY want him to have a staff because the only dude in the game with a staff so far is Karthus, and he's ugly.
