Concept for a permanent game mode
What Greg Street said in this video is him liking the idea of a game mode where you enter expecting to loose but there to have fun and experiment. Dominion was very close to that idea, and I really miss that game mode. If anything, creating a free-for-all with 10 players game mode or a 2v2v2 game mode would be much closer to a concept of a game mode that isn't pressured to win. I honestly love the idea of not being pressured to win a game, and I really want a permanent game mode that has that feeling,
A concept I've been thinking is a 2v2v2 game mode on a map similar to Twisted Treeline, but triple the map size. Terrain and Fog of War would be difficult to account for, but the goal of this mode would be to fight jungle monsters to get gold and to locate randomly spawning merchants around the map to get gear to make you stronger to take out tougher jungle monsters. A team would win if they've killed enough jungle monsters and players.
Another concept is a free-for-all 10 player game mode on a map as big as Summoner's Rift with no towers and random respawn locations throughout the map. When a player respawns, they would be untargetable but would appear as red mist for 3 seconds similar to the Hunt of the Blood Moon buff you would get if you killed 3 players or ghosts. There would be a top 5 players who get the first win of the day bonus and the player on the top being MVP after getting the maximum kills.
What do you guys think? At the very least, I hope for another permanent game mode in the future.
