Champion concept: Janus, The Heart Of The Future.

Hello there! I often find myself enjoying creating champion concepts and thinking of new ability's and kits. By far this has to be my favorite creation yet, Janus The heart of the future, (named after the god of the future, Janus) I thank you deeply for taking time out of your day to look over my creation :D, Just a heads up my lore skills are weak.


-Lore With the Intention of becoming the start of a new generation, a further step in the way of evolution, Janus was released into the world without knowing his purpose. On the day of his Creation a ceremony was held to show the streets of Zaun what he was capable of. As he emerged into the light he heard a over powering cry of cheers, Like a new born child he was scared and didn’t want to meet what was creating the uproar, But Viktor pushed him on wards.

The crowd went silent as soon as Janus Appeared on stage. Their was a clear expression of fear on his face. As Viktor began to speak a child lept from the crowd. And Grabbed Janus's arm, He looked at the boy and saw a stare that felt right. The boy pulled Janus along, And Janus excepted it. A army of augmented thugs chased after the two for hours on end, Until The boy and the robot got away safely,

The boy removed his hood and out came a heap of white hair. “The names Ekko”, Before Janus could introduce himself he was interrupted, “its Janus right?” Janus nodded, Ekko went on to explain the miss lead intentions that Viktor had for Zaun, What he had done, what he had planned and what Janus was created for,

From that day onwards Ekko protected Janus, Janus Learnt his ability's and used them for the good of Zaun.


And now on to the fun part :D

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(P) Adaption Core

Janus switches stance depending on his situation. If Janus deals damage to a enemy champion or Monster with Enhanced Propulsion, Janus switches to Omega Stance. If Janus Is out of combat for 10 Seconds or use’s Enhanced pursuit when out of combat, Janus switches to Alpha Stance. When in Omega Stance Janus’s basic attacks have 150 range, He gains 1 Armor and Magic Resist per 20 Ability power and has a different set of ability's to Alpha stance. When in Alpha Stance Janus’s basic attacks have 500 Range, His basic attacks deal a bonus magic damage equal to 10% of His ability power and has a different set of ability's to Omega stance. All of Janus’s ability's between stances have separate cooldowns.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(Q) Energy Disc/ Energy Slice

----When Janus’s is in Alpha stance he can use Energy Disc. Janus Sends out a disc of pure energy that travels to its destination quickly but when it reaches its destination it slowly travels forwards for 4 seconds, All enemies hit buy Energy disc are slowed for 16%/22%/28%/34%/40% for 1.5 seconds and take 1/2/3/4/5 (+7% Ap) magic damage every 0.2 seconds while standing inside this disc.

----When Janus’s is in Omega Stance he can use Energy Slice. Janus Slashes from the hand on his side opposite to the targeted location dealing 50/75/100/125/150 (+40%Ap) magic damage to enemies between the targeted location and his opposite hand, If this ability lands successfully Janus may use the Second strike Immediately after this.

Second Strike: Janus slice’s in the same way but deals 20% bonus magic damage and slows all enemies for 14%18%/22%/26%/30%.If this ability lands successfully Janus may use the Final strike Immediately after this.

Final Strike: Janus Slice’s in the same way but amplifies all the effects of the 2nd cast by 100% and resets the cooldown of Enhanced Pursuit if you successfully hit a enemy.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(W) Static Lock/ Static Mirror

----When Janus’s is in Alpha stance he can use Static Lock. Janus fires a extremely fast bolt that stops at the first enemy champion hit and marks them. If the enemy champion hit receives damage 10 times from Janus within 5 seconds of receiving the mark they are stunned for 2/2.25/2.5 seconds.

----When Janus is in Omega stance he can use Static Mirror. Janus sends a pulse in the targeted direction. If the pulse hits a non ultimate enemy champion projectile it is deflected towards the targeted area of Static mirror and acts as if it was casted buy Janus, If the deflected projectile is a lock on projectile it is sent back to its caster original as if Janus had casted it on them. Janus can use this ability to deflect his own energy disc, if Janus deflects his own energy disc the remaining cooldown of Static Mirror is reduced to 2 seconds.

While in Zero Zone Janus can deflect ultimate type projectiles.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(E) Enhanced Propulsion/ Enhanced Pursuit

----When Janus is in Alpha stance he can use Enhanced Propulsion. Janus dashes a medium sized distance in the targeted direction quickly, after the dash Janus gains 32%/34%/36%/38%/40% (+1% per 25Ap) for 5 seconds and on his next basic he leaps to his target dealing 100/125/150/175/200 (+60%Ap) In a circular area of effect around.

500 Unit Range (Dash range) 500 Unit Range (A.O.E) -------- 50 Mana -------- 6 Seconds -------- Dash Skill shot/Buff/Auto attack Enhance

----When Janus is in Omega stance he can use Enhanced Pursuit. Janus Dashes forwards extremely quickly and becomes un-targetable to projectiles while in the dash.

400 Unit Range -------- 50 Mana -------- 11/10/9/8/7 Seconds -------- Dash Skill shot

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(R) Zero Zone

Janus’s Ability's in Alpha Stance are affected by the Zero zone passive. Every 10th hit on a enemy champion using a ability from Alpha stance Steals 30%/40%/50% move speed.

When Janus’s is in Omega Stance he can use Zero Zone. Janus Silences himself for 6/5/4 seconds and gains 20% move speed and 30%/50%/70% damage reduction during the silence. After the silence everything except for Janus within a massive radius around him (including ally's and projectiles) is frozen in time creating a Zero Zone for 6 seconds. While within the Zero Zone Janus is locked in Omega stance and Static Mirror and Enhanced Pursuit’s cooldowns are reduced to 0.2 seconds. If Janus Leaves The Zero Zone or it disappears he is forced into Alpha stance .

Janus may re cast this ability to drop the Zero Zone.

900 Unit Range -------- 100/125/150 Mana -------- 160/140/120 Seconds -------- Buff/A.O.E

-----Techniques -A strong ganging combo would be to leap from the side using the initial dash of Enhanced Propulsion then fire Static Lock followed by Energy Disk Then Finally use the leap part of Enhanced Propulsion to stun the enemy while racking up nice damage, From there you can whale at your enemy's with Energy Slice to destroy their remaining health.

-In a team fight you can either be poking at the your enemy's from the back line using Alpha Stance or you could be right in the fight with hand to hand combat using Omega Stance. IF you decide to man up and take the Omega Stance route then using Energy Disk before you switch forms is a great idea, Static Mirror can deflect Janus's own Energy Disk, Each time it is deflected it's effects and duration are reset and Static Mirrors cooldown is reduced whenever the Disk is deflected meaning that you can have the disk out for the entire team fight no matter the stance.

-Zero Zone has a tone of use's, If in a team fight it can be used to rack up some damage and turn all the enemy's projectiles against them, Stalling for time so allies can re charge there cooldowns or so allies behind can get to the fight, you can also use it to escape (although its very in-efficient). Using Zero Zone at the right time can completely change the tide of the game but using it efficiently can also be tricky.


----Builds and phase's

Janus can be played Mid as a Mage/Assassin Ap Carry, in the top lane as a Ap Bruiser/Tank engager, Or in the jungle in either. But he may also have a place in the bot lane as a support due to his high utility.

In the mid lane depending on your play style fits Alpha or Omega Stance more you can change your build to fit acordingly If you preferred the long range Alpha life you build may look a little something like this: item 3165, item 3151, item 3157,item 3285,item 3020,item 3089 Or if you prefer the all in Omega style your build may look like this: item 3027 ,item 3001 ,item 3116,item 3100,item 3020,item 3089 /item 3157
