Champion Concept: Elanuya, the Father of the Freljord
I've had this sitting on my computer for a couple of months now. I wanted an AP Fighter and then I had the brilliant idea of making a champion tied into the ancient lores of Runeterra. The Freljord would not be like it is without Elanuya. Remember, all numbers and mechanics are subject to change so they be under-, or more likely, over-powered. Should you find something that you think needs a change, please do comment and we can see to it.

Back Story
Centuries ago, long before the formation of the Kingdom of Freljord, there lived a boy named Elanuya. Elanuya was the grandson of his village's elder. His father, a well respected man, taught him the gentler virtues of life in the tundra. These included a brutish form of swordplay, diplomacy and basic survival. Elanuya grew up a cultured, civilized boy who could hold his own. One day, during a local celebration, the ground began to shake and slide. Cracks and deep ravines spread throughout the area. Citizens fled, Elanuya marshalling his villages people to not too close cave where they could be safe. He was very heroic. Using the skills he learned as a child, Elanuya stood fast against the impending doom, calming the people around him, and saving the otherwise helpless. In the chaos, he neglected to see if his own family was alright. After evacuating the last of the citizens, Elanuya came across his father, helping his own sickly father. The elder had been in ill condition for some time and it was deteriorating fast. With a gasp, Elanuya's grandfather muttered some unrecognisable words and died. Elanuya's father collapsed, sobbing into the now dead elder's frozen robes. As much as Elanuya wanted to grieve, the village still needed a leader. And that leader was crying at his feet. Trying to urge his father to come, Elanuya tried to convince his father that the village needed him. Elanuya could not pull his father of his grandfather. He couldn't wait any longer. Elanuya ran to the cave where the rest of the village was. His mother and betrothed were safely with everyone else. Both frantic over the two missing men. Before Elanuya could respond, the earth shook again. The ground tilted and tipped. The centuries old glacier on which the village was built on was on the move. In seconds, the entire glacier was sliding into the sea; and no one could escape this. People slipped and fell, others prayed, most hung on to what little icy purchase they could find. Water rose from the bottom of the slope, the village and it's building swept away, Elanuya's father and grandfather with it as well. Soon the people around him being swept away as well. The water biting and at their legs. Elanuya's fiancée grabbed his leg, sliding away. With one final, mournful look, she mouthed “We'll meet again someday,” and she let go and slid into the water. Countless more slid in, the water holding and contorting them in its gripe. Soon the water took hold of Elanuya too. This seemed to be end of them all. His vision failing to darkness, Elanuya found himself unable to breath. Oddly enough, he couldn't feel the cold. The darkness around him became a searing light and an unknown power flowed through his veins and he could breath again. The abysmal waters swirled around Elanuya, almost hailing him, wanting to be commanded. Elanuya toyed with this and found the water flowing with his every whim. Still loyal to his people, Elanuya thought maybe he could save some. Better yet, maybe all. He could feel the glacier falling beneath him in the water. He groped with his mind and willed it to rise. The glacier ascended, meeting Elanuya with a furious power. The glacier breached and Elanuya was standing atop a frozen wasteland of death. He had raised the glacier, restoring it to its former position; but, everyone was dead. Elanuya was alone and surrounded by the frozen bodies of everyone who he loved and held dear. Sitting down and sobbing, Elanuya didn't move for days. Weeks later, the bodies covered in thick layers of ice and snow, Elanuya rose. Shaking the frost off, he just walked towards the mountains. As he walked, the snow coalesced around him, blowing with him in the wind which spoke to him. Listening to the secrets of the ice, Elanuya learned that this happened too many villages. Coming to a rise, the Freljord expanding below him, Elanuya had a thought: Why not band the people together. They all need security and he can provide them with it and keep the homes from sliding around the ocean. Elanuya set about creating a city on top of his glacier. He sent snow spirits to fetch anyone they could find and promise them a place where they need not fear for their survival. It worked, people came. His streets swarmed with the destitute survivors of The Slippings, what the cataclysmic events had become to be known as. Among them, however, were some unexpected beings. Strange yeti like creatures with towering heads and massive horns of ice. Each one peered with one single from the middle of the heads. As Elanuya was going about, getting his new people settled in, one these creatures came forward. They told him they knew of his power, his ability to control the ice around him. They said they wanted him to help him. They never said what but promised him immortality in reward. Elanuya declined. The creature then left, gesturing to those with him to the gates. Before getting out of earshot, the creature turned and said, “I hope you'll come around. We'll be watching you until then.” Life continued on. A bit difficult at times, establishing a new city wasn't easy. Elanuya's city, now called Gelid, and its people were thriving. They hailed him as a saviour. Everything was peachy except for a few disappearances. Mostly cripples and loners, those that did wonder what happened to them never really cared. Despite this, Elanuya had found happiness again. Still paying his respects to those dead beneath him in the glacier, he mad moved on some and found himself a wife. With no new disappearances, Elanuya began to settle. He and his wife had 3 daughters. As time wore on, each grew into their own distinctive persons. The oldest was a loner. She would some times go days without being seen but she would always return. She had quite the aptitude for magic, much like the powers of her father. She was named Lissandra. The middle child loved to play and preferred to spend her time with what animals had made a home for themselves on the glacial flat outside the city. She was bit aggressive at times but always knew her place. Her name was Serylda. The youngest child was the sweetest of the trio. She was peaceful and preferred getting lost in the stories of the elder folks in the city. She could be bit naïve but always had good intentions. She was called Avarosa. Time went by uneventfully for many, many years till Lissandra disappeared for much longer than usual. When she finally did return, she had with her an army of the so called Watchers and what she called the Iceborn. She too, had also changed. Her feet walked on ever shifting ice and she had sprouted horns from her head. She demanded that her father relinquish control of the city to her. He refused. War broke out. Elanuya's citizens were being slaughtered; some were only taken prisoner though. Elanuya told his family to run, to run and hide away from Lissandra and her army. As Elanuya repulsed the army nearly single handedly, Lissandra disappeared. He didn't notice and focused on defending his people. After hours waged, Elanuya, in a last ditch effort, froze the glacier over, himself included. Meanwhile, Lissandra had captured his sisters and mother and brought them to a menacing fortress. This is where the Watchers had made themselves a stronghold and an army. Lissandra tried to turn his sisters into Iceborn wanting to take control of what little was left after their father's sacrifice. After ages of torture and refusal, Avarosa and Serylda escaped their sister. They both went on to establish their own tribes as tensions rose. Soon war broke out all over the frozen wastes. The three powers vied for control over the land, none really winning over another. Meanwhile a rising storm swirled to the north around the spires of Elanuya's city. Power still lived within him, the Vortex was proof of that enough.
Centuries later...
Lissandra was walking through what was left of Gelid. She did this from time to time, admiring what her father had accomplished. Looking over the central spire, she heard a thundering crack. A massive crag ran down its height and it was sundered in two. The tower fell away and from its spire fell a figure. Lissandra glided over to see what it was. The figure stretched out its arm, the ice and snow swirling around and forming a sword in its hand. The figured looked up and said, “Hello Lissandra, how are your sisters.” Elanuya had risen as an Iceborn. His heart dead set on wiping out the people who ruined what he had built. Everything Lissandra had built up was at risk, she just wouldn't accept that.
