Skill Concepts for a Nocturne VGU
Nocturne is one of my favorite champions, and while as of now he's doing decently in the meta, he has one inherit problem that most champions have; old age.
Now don't get me wrong, most of his skills are unique in one way or another (except maybe his W) and I feel like he's one of the oldest champions to have withstood the test of time without being considered trash and in need of buffs/rework.
However I was quite sad to see that Nocturne was not included in even the small assassin updates. While he's classified by Riot as a 'Diving Fighter' similar to Diana, to me his kit, thematics and gameplay to an extent all say 'Assassin.'
So, with this concept, I hope to further fulfill Nocturne's thematic as a living nightmare who comes from the shadows to assail you.
Nocturne- the Eternal Nightmare
Passive- Umbra When Nocturne is in the fog of war, he becomes Misted, giving him a unique model, 30/40/50 out of combat movement speed, and upon being revealed on the map by a ward or otherwise, he becomes Invisible for .75 seconds.
Upon coming out of Umbra, either by being revealed or attacking a large monster, Nocturne's next 2 attacks rend the enemy, dealing 50(+1 per 10 bonus AD)bonus damage and slowing them by 15% for the first strike, then applying a bleed DoT that deals 15(+2 per 30 bonus AD) every second for 2 seconds. The attack buff wears off after 6 seconds of not being used.
Q-Duskbringer Nocturne dashes through an opponent, going behind them and dealing 85/95/110/115/120(+75% bonus AD) physical damage. This ability can target enemies through terrain if they are close enough and deals damage in a line. CD: 6/5/4/3.5/3 Range: 350 Dash Length: 350
W-Ghastly Shroud Nocturne shrouds himself, becoming a moving shape of fog of war for 1.5 seconds. During this time, he gains 30/40/50/55/60 movement speed, 5/10/15/20/25% damage reduction, and the ability to move through units and champions. However, Nocturne is silenced during this time and cannot attack. Enemy champions engulfed by Nocturne have their vision reduced (similar to Graves' smokescreen) Nocturne takes priority for skillshots hitting his allies if he chooses to engulf them instead. CD: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
E-Eviscerate Nocturne slashes the area in front of him in a 180 degree arc, dealing 50/55/65/70/75)+60% bonus AD) physical damage. Nocturne can recast again to slash in a 90 degree cone in front of him and deal 25/30/40/45/50 damage, but cause the enemy's armor to be reduced by 5%. CD: 6 seconds (does not scale with level.)
R-Living Nightmare When activated, Nocturne shrouds the map in darkness for 3/4/5 seconds, removing ALL vision granted by wards, but not friendly champions or friendly minions. After a .25 second delay, he can choose to launch himself towards an enemy, Misting himself regardless of vision, and spawning 1/2/3 Misted clones of himself coming from different directions. These clones deal no damage and dissipate in a telltale sign once reaching the intended target. The dash stops Nocturne 100 units away from the target and so deals no damage by itself, but Fears the target for 1/1.5/2 seconds. Umbra's invisibility and auto attacks are automatically activated once the dash ends.
