YEAH, hit riot where it hurts. Esports is one of their biggest cash cows atm. If the players are unhappy, that badly reflects on the company and obviously, it creates poor rep in esports.
As awesome as this is, I would be willing to bet that it does nothing. Riot clearly has no concept of what a real sport looks like, as they have proven with a complete failure to offer true competition at all but LCS levels of play. At best, this will simply push Riot to fix things for high elo to appease the pros and leave the rest of us exactly as we are.
