Alan - The First Accursed (Shuriman cursed champion concept)

This champion concept is not that of a regular dude (well he used to be) or an ascended, but someone who is cursed to carry a burden given to him by Azir, even after fall of Azir (despite the face Azir came back). Alan used to be a regular shuriman townsfolk, in his late teens, he wielded two whips with blades along the ends at certain segments, which he could use from afar or up close. At the age of nineteen, he found the war against icathia occur, and as soon as the void started tearing into the ground, he too was swept into it, leaving him into an inevitable horrific death. However, he was barely alive, a spirit of an ascended, name Akiru, an ascended which symbolized a serpent, gave him a choice, either Alan could die in the void, being a husk for its spawn. Or, gain eternal youth and life, but at a price of carrying a burden. Alan of course took the second option because no one wants to die in the void at all. However, this means Alan was given immence power, his eternal youth, and a long gold and black serpentine tail in place of his legs, his weapons were imbued with deadly poison. He was now a protector of Azir's tomb, which would one day be uncovered, where he will awaken once more and take up arms to protect his master. The design of him is a little similar to cassiopeia, and there is more backstory between him and cassiopeia than you think. He has a serpent tail instead of legs is the most obvious thing to point out, however he doesn't wear any helmet or head accessory of the sort. The human half of him is a male in their late teens, pale, black shaggy hair, and snake-like tattoos along his arms which radiate with energy while casting magic. He also carries his two blade-wips, their blades filled with deadly neurotoxin. His backstory with a couple champs will be shown in his interactions which I will also list. Better off we move onto his kit.

Passive: Unending coils

  1. Alan cannot wear boots because he suffers the same things as cassio
  2. Alan gains bonus movement speed the more he levels up, however at a lower rate than cassio
  3. Alan's tail comes of more use though, his tail is much longer than cassio's for a reason, his tail stays in a idle, fixed position wherever alan moves in a tail (like ekko's copy for his ult), however if alan himself is idle, the tail will not move but stay put, the tail grows longer by level as well.
  4. Alan's tail is covered in black and gold scales, which are capable of reflecting skillshot (exclusively skillshots, however, the tail cannot reflect ultimates in the form of skillshots, such as ashe's giant freaking arrow, that is an example of a skillshot he cannot reflect). Reflected skillshots are deflected back at the enemy champ the skillshot originated from, but with the same speed and range.
  5. However, the front end of the tail (which is alan's human half) is vulnerable, and can be hit by skillshots.

Q - Viperlash

  1. Has two charges, 1 charge = 4 second cooldown. (.5 second delay between each cast)
  2. On castle, Alan lashes out one of his whipblades in a semicircle range in a target direction, damaging opponents in the range while slowing them.
  3. If an opponent is hit by another lash under 6 seconds since the original strike, the opponent gains a debuff called "emperor's poison." The debuff lasts 5 seconds, dealing 10% - 25% of the enemy's max health over the duration (scaling by champion level).

W - Constricting Corruption Passive: Every 30 seconds, a guardian snake appears next to Alan (up to two at a time), with extremely small health, they locate enemy champions in range of Alan, but cannot see over walls (even if they are warded over), once they spot an enemy champion, they gain large amounts of movement speed and bite the champion, dealing ap damage and adding damage over time for 3 seconds based on 1% of the enemy champion's current health.

Active: Alan swings his tail out in front of him, Knocking enemies in front of him back, dealing damage to them, and setting his tail out of front of him so its easier to reflect projectiles instead of having to W A L K I N A C I R C L E. However, if an enemy champion is too close to him, he constricts them instead of knocking that one champion back, dealing damage over time while rooting them, he can also move around while constricting the champion, however he can only keep the enemy champion rooted for 2.5 seconds, so you can basically pull a skarner and drag people. If alan is constricting an enemy champion, he doesn't have his tail in front of him to protect him, so he is vulnerable whilst constricting enemy champions.

E - Feeble Mind Alan casts a hypnotic spell on a small target area, enemies (even enemy champions) caught in the circle are damaged, but also mesmerized for 3 seconds by Alan, and attack their own allies. If any enemy champion is mesmerized, they can't cast abilities, instead they have increased movement speed and attack speed. Dragon, elder dragon, or baron cannot be mesmerized.

R - Gilded Plague Alan sends a wave of ancient power in a target direction, all enemies caught in the wave are greatly slowed, and are afflicted with a second form of "emperor's poison" called "Emperor's Plague." Which deals 30% - 45% percent of their maximum health as true damage over time, over 4 seconds. Enemies that die from the status are turned into Emerald statues while they are on the respawn timer, counting as champions generated terrain like anivia or taliyah's wall (Ornn players are going to have fun...).

Interactions: Aatrox : You fought with the ascended, why would you stand against them? Amumu : I don't know how you died, but it must have been miserable judging by your... demeanor. Azir : Lord Azir, my duties are still at no end. Bard : You look shuriman... but also targonian.... what are you? Cassiopeia : My pet gave you what you deserved as a traitor. Cassiopeia : Even before your curse you deserved, you were more of a snake than me. DrMundo : I don't think my poison would even work... on... that. Draven : Sorry draven, I'm stealing the show. Elise : You lure men into your webs..... how? Fiddlesticks : You don't look horrific, but the voice is still creepy. Jax : Your homeland is why I nearly died that day. Kaisa : However you survived it, I wish I knew how. Kassadin : You can't survive the void that way, I'd rather you not take your own life away. Kayn : Rhaast? Why are you being held by a kid? Malzahar : I can't tell if your corrupted by the void or not... Either way your insane. Nasus : Does your "withering" include poison or just pure magic alone? Ornn : Without these weapons ornn, I couldn't have continued my duty. Rammus : Rammus, how was your day today? Renekton : You were entombed because you were crazy, how would you not know that? Sivir : Flee now intruder! Or face my- oh... your Azir's decendant. Taliyah : I don't know what your going on about, Azir isn't doing anything that... preposterous. Varus : Varus, darkin's need two "A's" not two gays... Xerath : You look... unstable... in both directions. Void creatures: Die you invasive fiends! Killing cassiopeia: Now you know why you shouldn't have backstabbed the daughter of- oh wait your a pile of rocks now. Ok. Killing cassiopeia: Shut your stone cold eyes. Killing any ascended: I didn't ever want to defeat you. Killing darkin: We will cure your insanity one day, farewell for now. Killing another Alan: uhhh... I do not know how to explain this. Killing with q: Blades and poison, block one, you get the other. Killing with q: Don't pester me. Spawning guardian serpent: Alright alfred, remember to bite them humanely and make sure the poison is- oh who am I kidding just attack them... Spawning guardian serpent: Let's have more numbers... Using E on champion: I'm that guy over there. Using E on champion: Their willpower is so easy to break. E'd champion kills ally: This is going to be awkward for them when they snap out of it. Killing with ult: Did I go too far? Killing with ult: Well, back to preparing for the next. Being killed: Was there some other tomb you could raid? Being killed: Blast... Using any potion: I've come up with a new recipe. Using any potion: This is useful.

This is quite an interesting idea! Having a champion that survived when the Void first appeared is a very overlooked thing to put in a champion (in my opinion, that is). Hope it gets some attention! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

His passive is worded in a very confusing manner. It seems like it reflects all non-ultimate skill shots that hit him from the direction he was last moving away from with the potential to have it wrap around him to protect an arc in front of him. Could probably use some numbers on the angle, distance covered, and how long it takes for it to start protecting a direction after he starts moving could be useful. Also, the way it's worded makes it seem like just walking away from someone would be a nearly perfect defense against any skillshot reliant champion. Regardless, even without taking into account that it reflects skillshots in addition to stopping them which seems like it's just adding injury to insult as well as being a nightmare to code for some abilities, this seems like a ridiculously overpowered defense against anyone who relies on projectile skillshots so long as he isn't trying to advance towards them while also being completely useless against marksmen, most melee champions, and an arbitrary selection of ranged skillshot reliant champions based on whether their basic ability skillshots are projectiles that actually need to make contact with him or not. The drawbacks of this ability might be a bit more effective if this were Dota 2 where there are turn rates.

Q: This works. It would be nice to know range and speed though and a slightly longer delay between casts might be warranted if the enemy is supposed to try to avoid a second hit.

W: The passive is a bit confusing but it seems like a minor nuisance that is less effective against ranged champions better able to kill the snakes before they reach them. The active knocks enemies away from him (which is contrary to his q that wants enemies nearby him and his ult that wants his enemies nearby eachother), positions his tail for it's most ridiculous application which magnifies the other issues his passive has, and potentially Skarner ults someone though they can still attack. A Skarner ult is probably too powerful for a basic ability but it can also grab the wrong person by accident or accidentally grab someone when he's trying to knock enemies away and escape or position his tail defensively.

What is this guy's playstyle supposed to be anyway?

E: Very powerful crowd control (I'm assuming against champions it basically taunts them into attacking random targets). Duration probably needs to scale with ability ranks. A 3 second aoe ranged taunt that also potentially causes the damage to random enemies instead of the caster seems really powerful.

R: First, some idea about how large of an area it covers and how much time enemies have to dodge would be nice. Second, 30-45% max health true damage as base damage to multiple targets is absolutely absurd.

Again, what is this guy's playstyle supposed to be? His q is damage focused and effective against multiple targets nearby him. His w and e have extremely powerful utility which suggests he's closer to a tank than a juggernaut and r has a hefty slow on it so I guess it sort of fits. He's immobile and while we don't know his e range, he seems like a decent fit for a vanguard. His q doesn't have any utility but I guess it has % max health damage so it's damage would be able to stay relevant later in the game. His w passive is just kind of tacked on there but that goes for most possible playstyles. The problem with all this is durability (and thematics to some extent since snakes aren't really known for protecting others but he is a tomb guardian of sorts so I guess it fits).

The only part of his kit that makes him more durable is his passive which gives him extremely good protection against any basic ability that fires a skillshot projectile. That gives excellent protection against most mages and assassins, you know, the two damage dealing classes least able to kill tanks. Of the mages who kill tanks the best with sustained damage or % max health damage, Brand is at least inconvenienced by q being blocked, Ryze can't get through the tail due to q being blocked, Karthus doesn't care, and Cassiopeia doesn't care due to e being point and click. Meanwhile, the vast majority of melee carries and marksmen just don't care and shred him.

This wouldn't necessarily help the issues of his playstyle and his passive but something that might make his q and his w passive more important and his r less focused around it's sheer damage would be to make his kit interact with poisoned targets. Depending on what you do with it, that could be a good way to fix almost any of the problems with his kit.
