Deraaclir - The Chrono-Corruptor (Darkin Hourglass champion concept)
So far, we have a darkin champion for top lane, jungle, and adc (aatrox, kayn... or well more preferably rhaast, and varus), Now I am making a mid laner darkin champ concept. Yes, the hourglass has something to do with the item named Zhonya's in his lore. Let's start with the lore. Deraaclir, like all other darkin, were god warriors, however his purpose wasn't on the battlefield, but preferably in the space-time continuum. Deraaclir and Zhonya were god warriors who possessed chronosian hourglasses, which are not decorations, but ancient weapons that are capable of bending space and time to their content. Deraaclir, through his ascension, was a serpentine entity, with the body and head of a serpent, with clawed arms. They used this method to dispose of enemies before they could become a threat to shurima. However, they weren't able to predict the void being torn into the world by Icathia, or the darkin wars, so they couldn't prevent the threat. Zhonya, was gone missing, only Deraaclir was left behind, only to be corrupted by the insanity and confusion that other god warriors attained, he became a darkin. Deraaclir, like all other darkin, was sealed within his own prized weapon, or so it seemed. Deraaclir must have predicted this event, and found a way to counteract his own imprisonment. He tore into space and time before the aspect of twilight's plan unfolded, and sabotauged the power they used to trap the darkin, in order to weaken his imprisonment. Deraaclir, many years later, was reborn out of blood magic, being a horrific serpentine bodied entity, with razor clawed arms, and one dire, unflinching eye on his forehead that was able to see far into the past of runeterra. Other lore placements: Deraaclir, depicted as a serpentine god warrior, probably was able to predict Sivir reaching the tomb of Azir, along with Cassiopeia. Knowing the betrayal yet to happen, he placed a guardian in the shape of his ascension, a large golden serpent, a gargoyle of it for that matter, that will come to life if it sees the bloodline of Azir being struck down so it will lash in to avenge them. This plan must have took place before the war with icathia, and the void. Hourglasses and Time: Deraaclir is one of the two god warriors who beheld the chronos hourglass, the other god warrior being Zhonya was the second one, she disappeared before the darkin wars began, and hid her hourglass deep beneath the sands, to escape the insanity of the darkin war, or any false imprisonment sent by the aspects. Deraaclir however, due to his insanity from witnessing the void unfold, didn't leave, instead he participated in the darkin war. How the Wraith Kills: Deraaclir is one of the most feared beings on runeterra, because his targets, once he is finished with them, are no longer remembered, their names are completely disappeared from texts as if they never existed. In other words, Deraaclir traverses through time, and into the past, killing his victim, and then returns to the present to watch them crumbling away into dust. Design: Deraaclir is a darkin, so he has bloody red flesh for skin like all other darkin (except varus), and metallic blades protruding from parts of his body, like spines. However, since he is the serpentine ascended, he bears no legs, only a long serpentine tail constricted around his hourglass. He also has long arms with razor sharp claws. He also bears a long neck with a serpentine head made of metallic substance (like rhaast's face), he has two glowing normal eyes on his serpentine head but also one single eye on the top of his head, which in lore is what he used to peer into the past, present, and future. Deraaclir also wears a large bloodied cloak around him, made of the ashes and dust from the enemies he has "annihilated of existence."
Now for the fun stuff.
Lane: Mid Role: Mage Damage: AP TFT synergies: Demon, Sorcerer, Assassin.
Passive - Deja Vu: Every time Deraaclir kills an enemy champion, it creates a large zone around the area that the enemy champion was killed. If Deraaclir enters combat within the zone, a doppelganger of himself from the past where he killed an enemy appears, and attacks enemies, prioritizing the one that Deraaclir himself is attacking. The doppelganger also copies Deraaclir's abilities (like zed's clone) except the ultimate. He can have up to an unlimited number of zones, and they can overlap, but he can only have one doppelganger at a time, consider the overlapping range as a "larger territory" Exiting the zone will disappear Deraaclir's doppelganger. Each zone will disappear after 4 minutes.
Q - Black Nova On pressing the key, Deraaclir makes a short range explosion in front of him in a circle, dealing damage and slowing opponents hit. Holding the key, Deraaclir charges up for up to 2 seconds, when the key is released, he fires a spiral of cosmic energy in a straight line, dealing much larger damage, but applying a lighter slow. The holding version has quite a long range. While holding the key, Deraaclir cannot move. When in a Deja Vu zone, the holding range is increased, and the doppelganger also charges up and fires a beam at a target direction. Where the beams of Deraaclir and the doppelganger intersect creates a black hole, which pulls in and damages enemies in a circular range.
W - Chronos Shift Deraaclir tips his hourglass, making a time-warped, circular area around him (and his doppelganger). Enemy skillshots that pass into the zone are greatly slowed (but can still hit if they connect like usual) and enemy champions that dare step foot into the zone are slowed by 20% and have their attack speed reduced by the same amount. Allies that walk into the zone have 20% increased movement speed and attack speed.
E - The Beholder Passively, Deraaclir himself is able to see the cooldowns of enemy champion abilities below their health bars On active, Deraaclir's eye on the top of his head fires a beam of pure time energy at a target enemy, dealing continuous damage over time up to 3-5 seconds. Enemies constantly hit by this ability have their current stats reduced by 7%-28%, except for any form of penetration, health, and mana. Deraaclir can move while the ability is locked on a champion and can freely cast abilities while doing so. The doppelganger does the same attack but the max cap of stat reduction is still up to 28% regardless on the same target.
R - Temporal Eclipse Deraaclir opens a time rift beneath him and enters the past of an enemy champion. Deraaclir enters a "time realm" with an enemy champion (like a morde ult) however, the enemy champion is the same as your target, except this one is controlled by A.I. and is empowered with increased damage and health. If deraaclir is defeated, he will not die, he just comes back into the present like nothing happened. If Deraaclir kills the past version of the enemy champion, he returns to the present, and the enemy champion he targetted starts having their health rapidly drop as they are reduced to dust until it reaches 0. (Duration: 10 seconds until certain death) Enemy champions marked by Temporal Eclipse cannot be damaged by any means except the rapid DoT from Temporal Eclipse. The health depletion effect can be disabled, but you must kill Deraaclir in order to cancel it so you can survive if you are lucky enough. (Note: When Deraaclir is in a time realm, he is completely off the summoner's rift map for quite a while, and during the duration of his fight in the time realm, the enemy champion he targetted has nothing happening to them for the time being, unless deraaclir kills the target in the time realm.)
