Old Skins

Okay. This is the first idea that I've felt strongly enough to post on the boards, and I'd love to hear about what people have to say. The topic is old skins. These skins are considered by some to almost be a fundamental part of League, as in some cases they essentially say, "I have a skin that literally makes my champion look worse than the default texture, but I have been play this game longer than you!"

So that's horrifically endearing and all that...but a lot of these old skins represent fabulous ideas which Rito was unable to properly implement at the time. But now, looking at all the quality content which Rito is releasing now, (I mean, just look at Omega Squad Teemo! Actually on second thought, don't look. Avert your eyes. Hide.) Anyway. I think it would be great if Rito would update the outdated skins to be more in line with the current quality of the game, as well as to utilize the great potential held by these skins. Uh. Ramblings. I blame college. But before you go, let me give you some examples.

Shadow Prince Malzahar Okay this skins splash art shows this fancy Malzahar with GOLDEN FREAKING SANDVOIDPOWERSTUFF I mean Rito. This skin could be amazing, but for some reason he still has his purple powers ingame. You could give him golden spell effects, raise the price, and everyone would be happy. Recycling, right?

Earnest Elf Tristana This one is something that makes me sad every time I use the skin. I mean, if this skin was created now, I have no doubt in my mind that Rito would have Tristana in her wee elf costume shooting freaking SNOWBALLS. I mean SNOWBALLS RITO. SNOWBALLS. (there's a penis joke in here somewhere. Move along) But really. Snowball cannon. Fabulous idea, but it didn't get used because it's an older skin. Do it anyway. Thanks. I mean please or something.

Nosferatu Vladimir This was an idea I just came up with...but I love it. Looking at this skin, I can just see the blood he's sucking from his victim would have already decayed before he'd even consumed it--like he's spreading this decaying and disease before he even comes into contact with anything. Basically greying out the effects and making them a little more subtle...I think this would really enforce the theme of the skin and add more variety to Vlad's wardrobe choices. Also, according to the Wiki, this skin was made in reference to the first vampire motion picture ever made...in 1922. Holding onto the black and white would really just be fabulous. I mean rito.

Heartseeker Armor of the Fifth Age Taric I WASN'T GONNA SAY ANYTHING BUT.... Pedophile Heartseeker Varus was created (Coincidently at the same time as Sweetheart Annie....just sayin'....) I mean so much could be done with this skin. So much. Little hip thrust during his stun move or something. I won't go into detail.

Hey...Just some ideas. It's not like Rito would be losing income off this because they could just remarket the old skins to the newer audience of players, and if the update is significant, just raise the price to compensate for the effort. Even if it's something as small as what Ashe has on her skins, (subtle tinting on her autos and spells.) It would still make the skins so much more relevant and help to diversify League of Legends even more so in the cosmetic department. Think about it.
