Dynamic Queue and Solo queue?

I've attached a link to a video by Phylol on Dynamic and Solo queues where he raises some questions and concerns I agree with.

But I wanted to ask a (hopefully unbiased) question to players and Riot,

What role or need does this solo queue fulfill that was not adequately filled by dynamic queues?

For me personally, I don't really have any need for solo queue, and will likely be queuing up there very minimally.

Therefore, for you as a player, do you feel that solo queue is going to add to your competitive experience and League of Legends as a whole? Why or why not?

I love the way Dota does ranked. They have solo, duo+triple queue, and teams. If they make it so you can get every reward by playing in a single queue I'd be happy. I don't have a lot of friends to play a full team, so sometimes I just wanna solo or duo. Even the possibility of playing against a premade as a duo makes me want to just play solo, which they are apparently taking away rewards from the crowd who just wanna do their own thing.
