Aatrox

Why Rework? Aatrox in his current state, I would call generally underpowered and not thematic with all of his abilities. He is in a weird state that he does not have enough inherent tankiness to be an effective tank nor enough damage to be a carry-type champion. Currently, Aatrox is a lifesteal based attack speed bruiser. Don't take this the wrong way, I really like aatrox and have played him a lot but he needs changes.

New (idea) Abilities:

Passive: The free attack speed from the passive is nice, but the fact that you lose it on revive is pretty bad. But, I'm unsure of what would work as a new passive.

Q: mobility + CC is great in theory, but the interruptibility of his current q makes it less than effective in many instances. Also, the health cost on this ability is too high for an initiation from full health (at 10% current hp). As a buff to this ability it could restore health or provide damage reduction based on the number of enemy champions hit.

W: This ability is thematic with his idea as a sort of blood knight, god of war type champion. However, the high cost on the damage bonus is not often worth it, aside from jungling. Instead of providing extra damage at the cost of health, it could provide a small stun at the cost of health, around .5 to 1 seconds.

E: This ability is kind of boring, but it's useful for waveclear and early harass, and as a bonus it is ad scaling magic damage. I would leave it basically as is.

R: This ability has been bandaged to sort of work. It gives aatrox some power on autos and the extra burst is okay. The ability is boring though. Instead of just giving some stats an interesting idea would be to let aatrox cleave on his autos and gain movespeed on each hit, along with a healing bonus. The cleaving would be thematic with the idea of massacring the whole team , movespeed would help him to not be kited, and the healing would synergize with his kit.

Just curious to see how the community feels about aatrox in his current state and how people feel about these ideas, comment!

I like what you did with the ultimate. Adding the additional cleave would add some character to the ability and it'd feel pretty badass.

I do think that a stun on every third attack is a little too strong though, but I agree that a change to the W would be good. An idea I had was to make the W "damage form" draw from the blood well instead of your Hp. I mean it kind of makes sense thematically that he draws blood from his victims and then is able to use it. Also maybe add a small slow to make it kind of like a stun.

If you changed this you could make it so that every third auto with the "healing form" would give you blood in your blood well on top of the heal.

These are just my 2 cents though, lemme know what you think about it. :)

this isn't really a rework at all as you didn't change anything really. the problem with making a rework for him currently is that we know absolutely nothing about the darkin so his theme is nothing more than a word with no meaning behind it. i think i read somewhere that riot is going to expand on the darkin when they fix the lore issue whenever and if ever that happens. until then there's not really anything we can do for him unfortunately.
