Lane Phase Only Game Mode Idea
A majority of this game is decided in the first 15 minutes of the game. Sure there can be a slip up at 49 minutes where one team steals baron and then wipes the other team even though they were down 10 kills and manage to push up mid and close out the game.
But the first 15 minutes are key. The majority of players have a very hard time CSing accurately as well as making early game decisions to benefit their team, increase the lead and help lanes that are behind.
So I propose the idea of a game mode that could be placed in the custom/A.I./training section of the game where it's 5v5 like a regular match but it ends at 15-16 minutes no matter what.
There doesn't need to be a winner, it could be a mode used as a warm-up for seasoned players before starting ranked as well as great practice for players who may not have the best early-mid games.
Playing against bots isn't an accurate representation of the game and playing actual normals is a heavier investment for someone who just wants to work on their early game and will take much, much longer.
If this becomes a mode, the players who utilize it will improve their skill in the early game far beyond the players who look to improve in early game in normals at a faster rate becasue in 40-60+ minutes, the player in a normal match spent 15 minutes in the early phase of the match, maybe they messed up, missed a lot of CS, got ganked early, lost lead and by 20 minutes their team lost hope, lost their way and it turned in to a 60 minute defeat.
Whereas the player who is playing the new '15 minute early game training mode' (better name in progress) could have played the early game four times by then and would already be seeing improvements in their play.
Plus with a game mode like that, that's just a quick burst of potential improvement, the players will be able to build the skills needed to succeed much easier because there isn't the nervousness of "if I mess up here, I'll be trapped in a 70 minute loss." Plus the majority of players in a game like that don't even remember what happened in the beginning. They just block it all together as "a trash game" and gain nothing from it.
But if they play this new game mode that stops at 15 minutes and is only meant to better ones play, then they can look at the matches more analytically and actually improve. It's a lot easier to analyze your play when you're looking at 15 minutes rather than 60.
As for the players who think their early game is 100% perfect and they have no need for this game mode. It'd make for a great warm up for your ranked games. You don't want to hop into a ranked game right after work or right when you wake up and have your senses dulled. Then you'll make simple slip ups like missing CS, not warding and other early game mistakes that can really turn the tides of the game.
Now, if you played one or two of this 'caps out at 15 minutes, early game only' game mode then you'll be warmed up and ready to go into ranked without the 60 minute LP loss that cost you your promos from a rusty start.
