Sower of Sloth

My idea is a champion with a blob-like fleshy appearance (think The Rotten from Dark Souls II but slightly less grotesque) who will move very slowly (like 300 units or lower) but will get around more by attaching tendrils to targets and sort of lurching towards them. His theme is a monstrosity that slowly drains victims of their will to go on, and when they have given up he moves in for the kill.

Passive: Threads of Lethargy Any enemy the Sower currently has a leash attached to will lose small amounts of health over time. The Sower will gain health based upon the amount of health that his leashes are draining. This health gain is capped from minions and monsters.

Q: Throw Tendril Will throw out a sticky tendril that will leash to anything it contacts (walls, minions, champions). The range that the tendril connects at will be 3/4 of the leash's max range, meaning that connecting at close range will result in a shorter leash breaking distance. Multiple tendrils can be stacked on targets.

  • Will cost health which will need to be balanced with the health gain from passive
  • CD will start at around 4 sec and reduce down to about 1, with the idea that you will have a lot of these out at once
  • Will probably need a max number of leashes that can attach to a single target.

W: Reel In Will be the Sower's primary form of mobility and chasing tool, this will cause him to pull on selected leashes, causing him to dash a short distance closer to the target(s) while slowing the targets if they are enemies. This dash distance will scale with the number of leashes attached to the target. The idea is that the Sower will grab the tendril and pull himself along it towards the target.

  • Will be on a very short CD, whose reduction I feel should reduce with move speed instead of CDR with the intent of emphasizing this as his movement tool
  • Since the Sower will have many tendrils out at once, I thought that if multiple tendrils are selected on use, that he would pull himself towards the center of them
  • Attaching to a wall or other immobile surface would give much higher movement gains than minions/monsters/champs
  • No Cost

E: Detach Attaches a bio-bomb to selected tendril and breaks the leash, which will cause the bio-bomb to fly along the tendril towards the target dealing damage in an area around the target (think Tristana E size).

  • Can be used as a quicker form of waveclear, or as a way to harass opponents near leashed minions
  • Will cost health which will need to be balanced with the health gain from passive

For his ultimate I have a couple of ideas and I'm hoping for feedback on which seems better

  1. His ultimate could be a sort of steroid for his other abilities, which would increase his passive healing and allow him to start throwing out tendrils and bombs like mad.
  2. Or his ultimate could be a form of team CC which would pull all leashed enemies to him and cause damage in his vicinity
  3. Or something else if you think you have a better idea.

I'd like him to be an AP bruiser who will build for health and defense and will force teams to make a choice of focusing on him in the start of the fight before he can get his tendrils out, or ignoring him and focusing squishies which will allow him to get out his tendrils making him much more of a damage and CC threat.

Please feel free to comment and suggest changes and tweaks as this is certainly a work in progress. I basically built this around the Q - W combo and am not overly attached to the lore so if you feel like you have a better idea for his lore or ability names feel free to let me know. Thanks for Reading!
