Excrucio is a mage champion centered around HP mechanics. Unlike most champion with HP costs, it is focused more on damage that intensifies as its health becomes lower. While its healing might appear to be similar to Soraka's rework, its main purpose is to charge up the main source of damage. In teamfights Shared Pain can either help prolong you own life as you wade into the enemy or to prolong the life of a carry so that they can survive and output more sustain damage.
Lore:
Excrucio is a creature whose origin is of much debate. Some claim that it is the result of a Zaunite experiment, while other speculate that its origins are much older. Regardless of its origins, the only known information about it comes from a destroyed research facility in Zaun.
The creature at first appeared to heal minor injuries of test subjects. As time progressed the wounds it healed were more severe and were removed just as effortlessly. While the scientists thought they had found a medical breakthrough, the black mass turned out to be biding its time. It attached itself to one of the scientists and began its retaliation. Every previous wound it had absorbed was reflected on each of the victims. The last note on the journal was that the creature was looking for its creator.
