[Skillset Update Concept] Morgana's W (very) Minor Tweak
I was playing with and against
recently, and I have noticed some weird things about Morganas' gameplay: Whenever she is a support, top or mid, she has an INSANE lane control, which most of the time doesn't even require her direct presence in the reachable distance from an enemy champion OR minion pack. All mostly because of her W - Tormented Soil.
Whenever she is on a lane, due to arbitrarily low mana costs and high base damage, Morgana can just cast Tormented Soil under enemy continuously, zone them, also easily pushing the lane. This gets ridiculous in the mid-game, when W is up by few levels. So, I wanted to come up with a little tweak...
So, current Morgana's W looks like this:
>** [W] - Tormented Soil:** > cost: 70 / 85 / 100 / 115 / 130 MANA | cooldown: 10 > > ...infects the area on the ground... causing enemies to take 8/16/24/32/40(+11% AP) +0,5% of that damage per 1% missing health, every 0,5 seconds. >
Kind of ridiculous, as for me. At this point, Morgana is a champion that can completely stay away from the enemy, while dealing a ridiculous amount of damage, also having a total control-denying ability. Insane safety, driven to reduce the distance only to cast the ultimate, which is also a saving ability in itself. Even Lux'es skillset requires her to keep in the range of her AA's, at least for the early-mid state, and she does not have such a self-saving and control denying skillset to begin with...
I want to give Morgana more dynamics, unlike Q-W-flee, Q-W-flee, Q-W-ult repeating sequences. She needs a reason to stay close to an enemy, also being rewarded for such a risk and a possible waste of Black Shield. So my suggestion is:
> **[W] - Tornmented Soil: ** > _cost: 85 / 95 / 105 / 115 / 125 | cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 > _ > Infects an area on the ground, inside which enemies take 4/8/12/16/20(+8%AP) +0,5% of that damage per 1% missing health, every 0,5 seconds. > > Additionally, Morgana's basic attacks against the enemies in the zone of Tormented Soil deal additional 25% bonus AP as magic damage. >
So basically, this adds some diversity into Morgana's gameplay. She has less free zoning, and more actual item-dependent damage output, which is coming with a reasonable risk.
