VELKOZ ult solution idea.

The biggest problem with the new new reworked VELKOZ is that in a game, you're most likely only going to research one target. The problem is that his ult is long ranged and pass through so it's supposed to be able to hit multiple targets but the rework made him do good damage to one target and low damage to others which contradicts the nature of his ult.

My solution is the ult should do true damage to the researched enemy and other enemies behind the researched enemy. I think it's balanced because his ult is a pass through LINEAR skillshot, not AOE, so dashes and blinks will still counter it and I don't think that enemies will always be lined up all behind their frontline tank. Sounds cool? I think it's at least an improvement to the current ult if not the best solution.

imagine scripting this....

What does that mean?

scripting is how the mechanics are programmed into the game. here is a small rundown... in very simple non code language terms.

Point and click abilties: press button,
If(target selected), Use ability; Else(), Ability not used; Every part of the game is devolved into simple tasks that need to be written out correctly to do the job.

Yasuo can't use ult unless a target is knocked up in a specific area.

Check range x for knockups if knockup ult can be triggered else void (void= end then and there)

Now this isn't coding but it is simple ways of seeing what is required, scripting languages are very different between some and some are just a pain.

just remember that all this stuff still needs damage, resistances and a bunch of other variables that need to be received in game in seconds notice. and a simple ability could be 50 lines of coding for it...

So is that guy saying that my idea would be hard to script into the game?

in theory it would have to find out who is researched, who is behind it, and if the researched target is STILL in front of them to do ture damage behind it, not saying it is impossible, but it is improbable that it would make sense :/ a lot of coding for something that probably won't happen too often honestly...

Bards q works kind of like that. Plus I have confidence in riots abilities.

bards q is a tad simpler if you think about it press Q if hit target 1 deal damage slow, if hit target 2, deal damage and stun target 1 & 2; else void; else void;

I think the answer is easy. Simply apply his passive to his ult the way it used to be. His passive is the research....one hit, two hit, third hit BAM pops the true damage bonus.

Very disappointed with the new Vel'Koz. Used to be able to melt whole teams at once. Now...maybe a tank if you can land 4 hits. :(

That would be overpowered. His passive was buffed with a new 40% ap scaling and the ult was buffed with 50 more base damage and 40% more AP scaling. So if you land a full channel, it would deal 950+100% AP magic damage +40% AP true damage and if you land one more ability l, you can proc the passive again dealing an additional 40% AP true damage.
