What Should the Next Champion Riot Make Next?

so lets look at the line up of Champions that Riot has recently release, we have: Gnar a prehistoric Yordle (cutest Champion EVER XD). Azir an emperor of Shurima. (not including Sion, he is an existintg Champion who got a Rework) Kalista a spirit of the Shadow Isle. RekSai & a Voidborn infesting Shurima (currently my favorite newest Champion). as regards as to what the NEXT new Champion could be i would like to see a Champion come from the following places:

Freljord: after Braum we had no new Champion from the Freljord, i would like see another Champion come from this Region of Runeterra, i would like to either an Assassin or another ADC (seriously the Freljord needs another adc Champion - i made an old concept of this subject). as archetype we could see Mythical Creature's or maybe we can just have another Human.

Demacia: the only Champion that Riot released that was affiliated with Demacia was Quinn (don't get me wrong she is an awesome Champion & she is 1 of the 2 ADC's i have), if Riot made another Champion from Demica i would like to see another Mage, Marksmen & a Support (Demacia dose'nt have an actually prime Support, Lux is a mainly a Mage). as archetype we could see Mythical Creature's or maybe we can just have another Human.

Noxus: i actully can't remeber what was the last Champion that Riot released that came from Noxus. as for what what Class the Champion could be the current Champions from Noxus are: Darius Fighter/Tank. Draven Marksmen. Katarina Assassin. Cassiopeia Mage. Swain Mage/Fighter. we don't have a prime Tank, Marksmen or Support coming from Noxus. as archetype we could see Mythical Creature's or maybe we can just have another Human.

Zaun: now this place has not had a "recent" Champions come this from, the Champions from Zaun are Viktor Mage, DrMundo Fighter/Tank, Warwick Fighter/Tank, Singed Tank/Fighter, Urgot Marksmen/Tank, Twitch Marksmen/Assassin & finally Zac Tank/Fighter. as archetype we could see Mythical Creature's or maybe we can just have another Human.

Ionia: now the last Champion that cam from Ionia is Yasuo we were suppose to get Ao Shin from Spirit Guard Udyr's comic but he got scrapped. as archetype we could see Mythical Creature's or maybe we can just have another Human.

I'd like to see more champions from other non-human races - we have plenty of yordles, even plenty of Voidborn.

But only one minotaur.Alistar One darkin. Aatrox Even just one troll.Trundle

More representatives from non-human races, sez I.

Weren't the darkin pretty much all wiped out except for Aatrox? Also, Trundle is KING OF TROLLS, you don't want anyone overshadowing him, right? Still, League seems to be ignoring true classic renditions of Races like Elves and Dwarves and seem to be only suggesting things like that... You wouldn't really consider Gragas a dwarf, right? I don't know if I like it or if I don't :/

Well, they ignore elves and dwarves because the only confirmed races are Human (and permutations, like Lissandra and Soraka), Yordle, Troll, and Darkin. Dunno if Skarner's race (Bracken) are still a thing, but them too. Every champion that doesn't fit these is basically a one-off type of deal. So unless this lore retcon introduces elves and dwarves and the like, you're SOL there.

I'm actually fine with no elves or dwarves - I thought Gragas was a dwarf for a while and was actually surprised to see he was a human. Not every fantasy setting needs dwarves and elves - there's been no orcs either, I'm also fine with that. It's nice to get some original races.

The darkin are said to be extinct except for five survivors. Word of God also revealed that only three of the darkin, including Aatrox, are known to history in some way, meaning two of them have never interacted with any of the other people of the world before (or at least left no one alive to speak of it). That alone is cool enough that at least one of the other darkin deserves to become a playable champion somewhere down the line.

Re. Trundle, there might not be another troll who can overshadow him, but maybe there's one who wants to challenge him - his story mentions that he aspires to unite all the tribes, not that he's succeeded in doing so yet. Maybe there are some non-frost troll types from the southern lands that could become champions.

Some other champions who are thus far the only representative of their race - Volibear, Rengar. Also maybe Rammus, MonkeyKing, Twitch - they might all be magical creations though and the only one of their kind, but maybe similar magic could happen again to something else (Wukong was created by a damaged magical runestone, maybe another stone could affect an evil gorilla or something).

To be honest, I want a Voidborn support. One who's actually labeled as a support, not one who's just played support because he's too immobile to be a mid laner in today's meta. Velkoz

In fact, I think that'll be my next project.

I am actually going to do a review of yours. I should start leaving comments on the void supports I'm coming across. I'm pretty used to poking holes in peoples' ideas so hopefully it's constructive and not just mean.

I think you should list a few more ideas instead of just "we could have a mythological creature or a human" (also jinx is confirmed to be from zaun and it is kinda weird how you consider quinn rather recent,but not zac,despite zac coming out after quinn)

Soooo anyway here are my suggestions for the different city states:

  • Demacia Overall I'd like to see a darker side of demacia,since this side was always hinted at,but never really represented through a champion.A cavalerist or a gryphon(gryphon rider?) would be cool too.

  • Noxus The last noxian was Draven ,so they really need I'd really like to see some non-human who rose through the noxian ranks,despite the fact that noxus is rather xenophob.In terms of archetype I dunno what they could do archetypewise,we don't have a torturer yet,but that wouldn't fit with the "rose through ranks" thing

  • Freljord Overall I'd really like to see more members of the frostguards(winters claw would also be ok).Nunus lore mentions some beast master which would be cool,or maybe someone posessed by a watcher?Or a yuki onna?

  • Ionia Well I think Ao shin is here the best candidate

  • Bilgewater Nautilus was the last bilgewater champ,so we really need a new one.I think an admiral would be cool,a davy jones like character or a water elemental.

  • Shurima Well Azir and rek'sai are both rather new,so there is no big need for a new champ.I would like to see a sphinx though

  • Bandle City We also really need a new champ here,I mean gnar is a yordle,but he isn't from bandle.Dunno what would qualify as yordle material though,maybe an actual tank user or a motorcycle champ?

  • Void Well we had 2 voidchamps this year,but I'd say it would be interesting to see another human with void powers(coughKassadins daughtercough)

  • Zaun I'd like to see stanwick piddly as a champ,maybe as a robot master?Or with some kind of powered armor?Otherwise I'd like to see a doctor(as in an actual medic)

  • Piltover The last champ is vi(and well jinx is associated with piltover),similar to demacia I'd wish they show some darker sides of piltover.I really want to see C,the thief as a champ

  • Mt.Targon I want to see more from the rakkor,maybe something like a roman gladiator?

i'll admit i tend to miss a lot of details in most of these kinda POST so i'm sorry if my info is really lacking.

as for Demacia's dark side i would luv to see that come out into the open.

in regards to other Beast Master i to wish to see more of those (actually i would like to see mount-themed Champions).

Ao Shin i can't wait or him XD!!!!!!

hmmmm for the Bilgewater the admiral would be cool but i like to a see a bonafied Water Elemental Champion more. (i consider Nami to be a "water-bender" not an actual Champion made out of water)

i came up with a few Concepts of a Yordle Tank that uses a "walker-mech" & a Yordle duo that rides an old school steampunk motorcycle with a side car that was either gonna be a mobile ADC or mobile Assassin.

while i do luv the Void (i still want to bare Kha'Zix children) i think we have enough Voidborn Champions to last us for good time. Riot we still need a Void Support.

out of the many Nations i feel Zaun is shown very little luv.

for Piltover an envintor or scientist gone crazy or power hungrey would be nice to see to come from Pilt.

Mt. Targon i have completly forgoten, i would like to see another Champion come from this region.

what about the Plague Jungle we have had a few Champions come from there, if Riot was to make another Champion from this Place what would you like to see?

Overall the plague jungles aren't really that well defined(same goes for the kumungu jungles),but looking at Rammus and wukong who got their sentience from the plague jungles(ok rammus is questionable,since we still don't have his full lore),I'd say that it is very likely that the plague jungles are populated by talking animals(rengar is probably from there too,if i remember correctly he was found near the border to the plague jungle),so I'd expect some kind of talking animal to come from the plague jungle(maybe a chameleon?I mean a regular lizardman would be too similar to renekton,but chameleons are so weird,they might work,or a gorilla unless that is considered too similar to wukong).

Overall I'd like it if they expand on some rather unknown areas,I mean annie is from the vodoo lands,but we never heard anything from them aside from annies lore,despite the fact that the place seems to be full with magicians(and there is a lot that could be done in terms of magicians,like a puppeteer,a witch doctor,a magical artist,etc.)

Riot also talked about an elemental hydra champ,which sounds in my opinion really awesome,but that one was cancelled because it was too monstrous,however now that they are ready to add actual monsters,I don't see a problem with a hydra anymore(but I dunno where it would live)

i agree with Voodo Lands & the Hydra, i actully did'nt know if there was anything on monsters like the Hydra. this may not be relevent but could you take a look at this Champion concept, its basiclly just another merfolk Champion i mean i would like to see another merfolk Champion aside from Nami.

I'm thinking of an unpredictable and versatile ranged mage. I haven't really worked on his kit too much, but I have thought of some ideas for it. I was thinking that the higher his insanity is, his abilities do more damage, but they have a higher cooldown. The lower his insanity, the less damage his abilities do, but they have a lower cooldown. I will probably add in some different effects along the line but I haven't thought it out too much.

hmmmmm by that notion its sounds to me personally a better suit for a Melee brusier, since when people fight hand-to-hand their aggresion, adrenilian even mental state can change while fighting at range means means you need to be focused other wise you'll end up 6ft under.

Good point. Maybe he changes to melee and gets a large movement speed boost at max insanity? I will think about it, but I like this suggestion. He could hit people with an electric wrench or something :P

i think it would be cool to have a marksman from ionia since i think it's one of the few regions without any marksmen. it would be cool to have a fairy dragon as a marksman with the ult being a big aoe dmg radio kinda like gp's ult.

When I'm bored I like to create some character concepts...

Here is a Mage/tank concept for a mirror guy. He could be good for either lane (top-tank, mid-mage or supp)

P-reflects 2% damage given(couldn't think of anything for this)

Q- Q has a 3 charge, once fired the other 2 must be fired in a time limit before going on cool down. Q is also powered the more damaged the copied has taken (See 'E'). Firing on the same target the 2nd time will be only half damage while the 3rd being doubled damage from the original. Has a very short cooldown between shots but can't be spammed quickly.(maybe like Corkie's rocket shots.

W- Activated like Sivirs absorb thing and cancels any movement for a quick second. This reflects the first thing that hits him dealing %25(scales) back to the sender and receives the rest of the damage. If it's a stun, both are stunned.

E- the cast range of a ranged auto attack, when activated on a allied player you copy their appearance. Is just appearance and health(keeping your health hidden. The appearance shares health with the ally. (I'm not sure what would should happen if you level this... Give stats to either people seems a bit broken. Maybe some percentage of damage given to the ally is given to you.

R- Swaps positions with the mirrored any where on the map. Kind of like Shen's but gives no bubble and completely taking the ally target of the fire...or in. This could save someone. A few problems that I see with this, you can easily 'troll' allies into a death position, if you were to level there seems like nothing is being increased.(maybe the range...or casting time... not sure

I think this will be unique idea. this could be used to counter huge burster for your ADC or APC. Or you can use clone thing on your tank that soaks up damage so you can use your Q for high damage output. I think this character has a flexible kit, and not really over powered(on paper) as he/she has no real escapes or form of CC making his burst combo easily avoidable offering nothing really in team fights besides a safe passage for the more targeted person on the team and can be shut down in early game.... not sure. let me know I have other ideas.

Same goes for Ryze and Swain , but my design is being a anti burst mage tank/supp. I'm not saying it's a unique aspect being a mage tank.

I think Mount Targon deserves new champs the most, but I would like to see more Demacians, Noxian and people from Bilgewater. Maybe even less mentioned areas, like the Voodoo Lands, the Kumungu, the Glade, and a lot more.

Also, for your information, Ao Shin wasn't scrapped (as far as we know), but his production was put on hold lately. :P

I am just gonna leave a shamless plug in for my champ concepts here, but real talk, I seriously think we need a new champion that has come from the ocean, I mean we got Nami and Fizz, but here is an interesting fact, did you know that there are two oceans and those two only came from one of them? I would go into more details here but I already did that before. As for a role, I honestly don't care as long as they bring something unique to the table.

Not quite. Darkin are a nearly-extinct race of nigh-on immortal beings. There are supposedly five left, Aatrox being the only declared one, though it was heavily hinted that Jax is also a Darkin. They have no real "motive" beyond personal goals, and don't seem interested in the survival of their race. Aatrox, for example, really likes war. He has no motive for it, no desire to kill lots of humans or cause the end of the world, and he's not even interested in chaos. He simply revels in conflict.

I am disappointed that there is a no assassin group in the voting list, just because we havent got one in a while, i mean look at jinx and lucian, two adc's came 1 after another, so why not, yasuo was kind of assassin, but not a really good one, we need some kind of a talon or a monster that kills everything in seconds, i think it would be a pretty cool idea, all though we have champions that kill for seconds, i mean for real, we need katarina-talon kind of champion! Anyways, good thoughts on the next champion, hopefully its from Ionia or Noxus!

I think that they could add a Freljord character who is a fighter, like a Viking would be, thinking of how they were known to be beserkers, or even a giant of some kind as a tank/fighter from there. Another idea would be a Noxus champion, that is set up like a roman legionnaire, as a support character, they used tower shields and were meant to work together in cohesion, so this could work for the whole Noxus standpoint. Just a thought.
