[Champion Concept] Kytren, the Aspect of Fire

Hey there, all! ThunderBolter again with my second champion concept after Sveik, the Betrayed. Thought I'd go a little more Ionian with this one, hope you enjoy! (again, I am **** at champion concept art, so I'm just gonna use Ulrich from Code Lyoko. Just imagine the outfit to be more...Ionian, but in no way bulky. Slightly ceremonial, simple, orange-red colour combinations.) Ladies, gentlemen, Voidborn, Yordles, Space-Dragon-People, Undead or whatever else you might be, allow me to introduce to you all Kytren, the Aspect of Fire.

Allow me to simply mention that this entire post is in BETA! NOTHING IS TRULY FINAL!

Passive: True Fire Warrior: Kytren’s spells and basic attacks deal 10% of their total damage as True Damage. Aspect: Kytren’s basic attacks scale with Attack Damage and 10% of his total Ability Power.

Q: Twin Dragons Kytren stabs both his swords forwards (Yasuo Q range) dealing 25/35/50/55/65 +(50% total Attack Damage) +(10% total Ability Power) to all targets hit. He then splits the stab by slicing his swords outwards, dealing 75% of the ability's total damage. Mana cost: 20/30/40/50/50 Mana. Cooldown: 7/7/6/6/5 seconds.

W: Lockdown Kytren dashes to a wall or enemy, dealing 10/20740/55/70 +(20% total Attack Damage) if he dashes to an enemy. He then immediately bounces off at the opposite angle, dashing the same distance again and dealing the same damage if he makes contact with an enemy champion, but stopping him if he does. If he does not hit an enemy champion and reaches the end of his jump, half the mana cost is refunded and the cooldown is reduced by 3 seconds if he jumped of a wall or 1 seconds if he jumped to an enemy. Mana cost: 50/65/80/90/100 Mana. Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 seconds.

E: Dancing Flames Kytren launches a spinning kick, dealing 10/20/30/45/55 +(20% total Attack Damage), knocking back all enemies hit and marking them for 1.5 seconds. During this time Kytren can dash between them freely, dealing 10/20/30/50/60 +(20% total Attack Damage) +(20% total Ability Power). There is no cooldown between dashes, only after 1.5 seconds has elapsed after the initial kick. Mana cost: 20/35/55/65/75 Mana. Cooldown: 12/10/9/7/5 seconds.

R: Crossfire Kytren releases 5 balls of fire in a pentagon around him, dealing 130/155/180 +(100% of total Ability Power) as Magic Damage to enemies they pass through. Upon reaching a certain distance, they stop, locking all enemies still within the pentagon inside. The balls remain in their places for 7 seconds. During this time, Kytren can teleport freely between them. If 2 or more enemy Champions are locked by Crossfire, the balls only remain in place for 2.5 seconds. Mana cost: 100/100/120 Cooldown: 120/100/85 seconds.

Lore

Rare are those who have an innate talent for swordsmanship. Rarer are those who are also chosen to be an Aspect. Kytren is one such warrior, a rarity among the greatest in history. With his gleaming swords and dance-like movements, Kytren confounds and defeats all who oppose him. His mission: to bring peace to Ionia and protect its sacred balance.

As a young child, Kytren was gifted with the rare trait of Contact; the ability to communicate directly with a superior conscience, a god of sorts, ability sought after by many monks across Valoran. He communed with the one he called his “Soul-Bearer” to accomplish great things, including mastering the dual swords style at the age of fifteen. It is at that moment that the Aspect of Fire was born. Chosen by the Fire, he was gifted with its abilities and given a mission: protect Ionia and maintain its balance. Leaving his home for the battlefields, he bid farewell to his family. Only after the war, two years later, did the true meaning of his mission reveal itself: during his absence, his village had been ransacked, his family slaughtered, not by the opposing enemy force, but by the Ionian government, who had gone village to village seeking new soldiers to fight; and suppressing those who refused. Raising his head high, Kytren turned his attention to the government of Ionia, and now fights both on the battlefield and in the sacred Halls of Justice, to bring peace, root out corruption, and serve justice to Ionia. “Truth appears to be a rarity these days; I thought we valued that, here.” –Kytren, to a corrupt Ionian politician in the Halls of Justice.

Insight Kytren is a midlane/jungler mage/fighter who specializes in disrupting enemies with fast, confounding attacks that he can chain together. Backed by the dual effects of his passive, Kytren can deal serious damage to all enemies alike. When laning, Kytren’s main source of solid damage is his Q, which he can poke at enemies and even surprise them by reappearing when they least expect it. Try chaining his Q and his E in quick succession for maximum damage and mobility. Kytren’s W is focused of dealing as much AoE damage as possible, as well as setting up enemies for his ultimate. With the slow from his E, Kytren can Q -> E -> W -> R for maximum damage output. His E is more mobility-orientated, but equipped with a slow to setup his combos. The teleportation is much like LeBlanc’s, but isn’t really used as a major damage-dealing source. His recast can be used to hit-and-run, while still dealing quite some damage.

  • His ultimate specializes in 1v1 situations, where Kytren can lock an enemy within the pentagon and repeatedly teleport between the soldiers to confuse his opponent. It can also be used to stall enemies in pursuit, or set them up for a teamfight, albeit with a weaker lock time.

Notable Points: Areas marked in UPPER CASE indicate that Kytren isn't the one talking: it's the Fire that grants him his power, like with Diana and Leona. Unlike them, however, the Fire appears to be able to SPEAK THROUGH KYTREN (hence the upper case). This is likely because he is only 17 years old.

Look really cool, but he seems really OP, especially that passive, also champion design is kinda weird since he has swords so that would make you think he uses them for combat etc but he's really an AP caster, idk seems weird to me, def like the concept tho

Have now redone some of his abilities to balance him more and make him feel less like a spellcasterRyze and more like a warriorTryndamere .
