Avenge Aatrox!

Recently, the Aatrox rework has come out, and I must say that it is......

Absolutely horrible.

The old Aatrox was one of the best toplaners at the time of his untimely death, considering T. Hydra and Rageblade at that time were very strong. Even now, with the Rageblade nerf he WOULD still be rather strong even without his rework. His rework just feels too DIFFERENT from everything else. In every rework, each champion kept a part of their old kit that made players still enjoy the new rework. Irelia kept her dashes, Galio still kept his anti-AP kit and a taunt, Talon kept his one shot kind of kit, and even Rengar before he was reverted still had the potential to one shot an ADC. However, this Aatrox just feels like a completely different champion. Not a SINGLE aspect of old Aatrox, not his design, not his walking animation, not his badass attitude and voicelines (heck he has an accent now), not his famed life steal off his W, not even his ult that would deal high burst damage early was kept. It's like Riot tried to mash in Riven's Q but with all knockups, a really easy to dodge and slow Kled Q for his W, just any dash but a lot worse with his E, and his ult... christ. It feels like your only use in teamfights are to basically go in and intentionally die so your team can pick up, and it's hard if your team ever so slightly falls behind in the fight as you go in and just get popped, revive again just to see your entire team died and get killed again. His passive is a knock-off Jarvan, and he's just a mashed up version of a bunch of champions that do the same thing but only better. At least Riven Q animations aren't slow as hell. Kled's Q is faster AND doesn't have some weird-ass hitbox, basically EVERY dash in the game is better. Lucian's E gives more of a dash and contributes more than just making it ever so slightly easy to hit a Q, Pyke's E at least gives some kind of CC AND not to mention a form of CC, and the list just goes on and on and on.

You killed Aatrox. You killed a badass and cool champion, no matter how unbalanced his kit was. I don't even play this champion and I'm enraged. You took the very thing that MADE Aatrox who he was, and copied other champions only to make him worse. Sure, he can beat most melee champions top, but late game, unless he's crushed his opponent so hard that there's no way of comeback, his lane opponent just outscales him and destroys him easily.

You didn't need to ruin what Aatrox used to be. You could've changed one or two of his abilities. You could have made his Q radius bigger, or maybe another escape besides his Q. You could have made his ult AD and actually scale. But this? This orgy between Riven and Kled's abilities and Yasuo's playstyle, where you either go 10/0 or 0/10? No. Aatrox has always been a sustain god, and this new Aatrox doesn't have the same vibe OR feel as old Aatrox did.

I'm sorry if I sound salty now, because I am. I'm sorry for the Aatrox players out there who cry with their pint of ice cream, sobbing that a champion they once loved was ruined. I'm sorry to all the NON-Aatrox players such as myself who feel anger towards why Riot would so drastically and negatively change a champion.

I don't know the head designer of League of Legends, but whoever he/she is, they need to step up the damn pace, because soon, this game is going to crash and burn in the same way that World of Warcraft did.
