I like that splashes are being updated, but...

For many champions now, their skin splash arts look really inferior to their base skin art - unless the skin has been newly-released. I'm not sure about other people, but the splash art is one of the major factors in a skin for me (it's where most of the detail goes, look at that orgasmic dragonslayer panth. Knew I was buying the skin the second I saw that amazing splash art). The base skin's splashes being majorly updated while skin splashes are just left alone really devalues a skin for me. Sion is the most recent culprit. His base skin's splash looks absolutely bloody awesome, and his skin splashes are still low quality and cartoonish. But sion is just one of a long list. Look at karthus (who's reaper splash is now just a plain misrepresentation of the skin), Yi, and soon singed, rengar, udyr, cho, etc.
