Koru, The Dragon's Bane 2.0

So my original champion was Kurux but i renamed and slightly modified him. I'm still working on numbers and feedback is greatly appreciated.

Koru, The Dragon's Bane Assassin / fighter (jungler) Health: 580 (+85 per level) Mana: 300 (+35 per level) Attack Damage: 58 (+3.20 per level) Attack Speed: .67 (+2.75% per level) Movement Speed: 350 Health Regen: 7.7 (+0.70 per level) Mana Regen : 7.3 (+0.50 per level) Armor: 25 (+3.25 per level) Magic Resist: 32.1 (+1.25 per level) To get stats I looked at Jungles who relate the style of play that Koru is designed for. Dealing damage and surprising with quick ganks. Those champions included: Warwick, Kha’zix, Wukong, shaco, and Nocturne while averaging their stats and determining reasonable stats for this champion.

Weapons: Koru uses two specific weapons. In his left hand he used to carry a tekagi shuko, a long clawed weapon. In his Right he carries a Kyoketsu Shoge, which is similar to Akali’s weapons but instead of a sickle it is a straight blade with a hook. Tekagi Shuko – For reference this weapon is fused with Koru’s body after he killed his first dragon and was cursed, which is what gives Koru his dragon claw. This is the weapon he found in his village after the dragon had raided it.

Kyoketsu Shoge -The weapon was forged spine and tooth of the dragon that killed Koru's family. The blade was from a sword master Yi gave him, his master whom he followed and whose trust he betrayed when he left Yi’s teaching to take vengeance on the dragon who slaughtered his village. This becomes his tail after he kills his second dragon.

Abilities: (REWORKED FOR SEASON 5, now that dragon applies a buff to everyone on the team.) Passive: Scales of the dragon: (increases physical and magic resist (armor resist), scales with level). Secondary effect: When Koru’s team kills the dragon he gains the dragon stack plus additional stats (see below). If he lands the killing blow his health is replenished by 20/30/40/50% (with smite or by auto attack). NOTE: Koru must be within range during fight to receive the buff. Range is 775/800/850/900/1000. BUFF: Cooldown reduction (per stack) 3/5/7/9/10% mana regen 3/4/5/6/7 per second health regen 3/4/5/6/7s ap and ad increased by 5/10/15/20/25 range increased by 50/55/60/65/75 for sting of the dragon

**Auto attack **– non-ranged attack with his claw.

Q – Sting of the dragon: Koru shoots his tail forward (Range: 800) dealing damage [80/120/160/200/240 (+50% Attack Damage)] in a straight line. Cooldown: 10.5 (reducing .5 every level)

W - Vault of the dragon: Koru Charges up over 0.5/.6/.7/.8/.9 and launches his tail towards a target area, knocking up enemies. The longer he charges the farther he can go. range:MAX RANGE: 1150 / 1250 / 1350 / 1450 / 1550. After the charge he can leap forward dealing 80/100/120/150/180 (+35% Attack Damage) to all enemies hit causing a stun for 1.0 (scaling to 1.5) in an area of 100. All champions in a radius of 400 are slowed by 50% for 1.5. Cooldown 20/18/15/13/10

E – Blood of the dragon: Passive: every fifth attack (including abilities) Koru’s tail lights on fire giving him one ranged attack (range: 750) and deals bonus magic damage (based on percentage of health) and gaining lifesteal: 30/ 60/ 90/ 130 / 160 (+ 50% AP) Active: Koru uses his own blood to gives to keep his tail lit. now every hit Koru’s tail lights on fire giving him ranged attack and bonus damage [Costs Health while it is toggled on 8 / 12 / 18 / 23 / 26 HEALTH PER SECOND.)

R –Fury of the Dragon: Koru grows wings and floats above the ground increasing his MOVEMENT SPEED: 15 / 18 / 21 / 24 / 28% and ATTACK SPEED: 5/10/15/20%. His Q cool down is set to 3 but at the cost of power decreasing by 10/20/30/40/50. For the first 4 seconds his E is activated causing him to take damage from every attack however his scales cause invincibility. (He loses health more significantly but can’t be damaged by enemy champions.) He then loses the scales but still has wings and the q for 6 more seconds. Cooldown 90 seconds. Total duration 10 seconds. His W cooldown is reduced by 50% percent and MAX RANGE: 1200 / 1300 / 1400 / 1500 / 1650.

Lore: It was just after dawn when Koru felt the quake. A violent tremor struck our village, followed by a red hue. Shortly after the screams began. His mother hid him in a barrel just outside of town while she went to look for his older brother. The last thing he remembers of her was the soft touch of her hand slipping away into flames and smoke. Koru did remember those eyes. Those black soulless eyes peering at him before a seven eyed warrior fended off the beast. Those eyes would haunt him for the rest of his life. As he exited the barrel he stared into the eyes of the man who had saved him. He looked around and the sheer horror of the remnants of people and his village caused his vision to blur. The last thing he remembered was the hand of the warrior reaching out to him in the darkness. He woke in a small hut the smell of food wafted into the air. “Was it a dream”? he thought to himself. He quickly disillusioned himself of that notion as the warrior walked into the hut.
After explaining the situation the seven eyed warrior revealed himself. “My name is Master Yi, last master of the dying Art of Wuju.” He explained that he was looking for pupils and thought Koru to be worthy. He pulled a clawed weapon from under a pile of blankets. “This is the weapon I found after the dragon attacked; I am well versed in its ways as well as many others and can teach you to wield to, to protect with it.” Koru stared blankly at the weapon. This was all he had left of his village, all he had left of family. He ran his finger down its sharp edge contemplating his now strange future and plotting his vengeance. Yi saw the pain and anger in the child’s heart but also saw a light that he could not explain. “Young one,” he said while placing his hand on Koru’s head “This path is not one of violence but of enlightenment. If you wish to journey with me you must quiet your heart and relinquish thoughts of violence. I will give you the night to think, if you decide you cannot dissuade yourself of vengeance then I will take you to Shon-Xan. That night Koru’s vowed vengeance, but at the cost of quelling his desires in favor of Yi’s teachings. The next morning he woke and made a solemn vow to Yi to follow the path of Wuju. From there they journeyed and Yi trained Koru in the way of the Sword and the way of the claw. They met many warriors who Koru envied. Then one day they happened upon a strange creature which Koru had never seen before. His name was Kong a monkey from the Plague jungle down in the south of Runeterra. Kong, now renamed Wukong became a second Pupil of Master Yi. Koru and Wukong grew close training, fighting, and living together. Even so in their 8 years of training the two never spoke of how Koru had joined Yi, because anytime Wukong would bring the subject up Koru would become agitated and storm away. Finally one night Koru opened up about his past. He told Wukong the true horror of what had happened to him. Wukong sat silently in the corner staring down Koru. Finally after a long silence Wukong let out a sigh. “I know this dragon you speak of, it rests in the Plague Jungles. I passed it before happening upon our Master. He was sleeping there in his cave.” Koru’s eyes grew wide. He knew he must leave. They were in Bandle at the time close to Wukong’s homeland. With a brief farewell Koru left in the dead of night, thinking not of the consequences that would occur.
After a week of nonstop travel he located the cave. He rested through the day thinking the cover of darkness would give him the element of surprise. He entered the cave claw attached and his Kyokestu. He could feel it’s breathing, slow and steady pushing against him as he grew closer. He used the arts that Yi had taught him to meditate while looking for a chink in its scales. The dragon however soon woke to the smell of something strange in its nest. Koru had found the spot but now had to fight the dragon while it was awake. He fought long and hard through the night. He was finally able to attach his kyokestu to the beast and lunge toward it digging the claw deep into the beast. It howled and collapsed its breathing slowing. The beast stared at Koru with those eyes, those eyes from so long ago. It began chanting in an ancient language. Koru began shaking and a searing pain shot up his arm as the blood from the dragon began to glow red. The beast laughed as it drew it’s final breath. "Fool the blood that now flows inside you will be your undoing, you will become what you hate most in this world." Koru blacked out. He awoke to Yi staring down at him sword at his throat Wukong behind him face full of horror. “You fool,” Yi said calmly “You disobeyed me and betrayed my trust and the vow you took years ago. You are no student of mine. I would punish you but it appears the dragon already has.” He pointed at Kuros arm then left taking Wukong with him. He looked in horror as his arm was unrecognizable. The dragon had cursed him fusing his arm to the claw from his village. He screamed in frustration. All these years searching for revenge and the beast had still bested him with a reminder of the scourge that had killed his family. He climbed the dragon ripping open his spine and removing a tooth. Yi may have taken his weapon but he was determined and would make due with that he had, fashioning another Kyokestu. Koru considered this his trophy. He took a new vow there that he would rid the world of any and all dragons. His journeys took him all over Runeterra. The next dragon was harassing the Shrumia Desert nomads. He found the best in a small ruin of a city. It proved formidable as his claw arm was of no use. The new kyokestu proved useful scratching at the armor and causing this creature to bleed. However his Claw was useless and he was soon overwhelmed. The beast trapped him in a corner and he grew angry refusing to accept his fate. His blood boiled and a bright light erupted from his arm. He slashed at the dragon and lopped its head clean off. He smiled over his newest victory. As he prepared to take another trophy the pain he felt before returned. This dragons blood entered through his cuts and he felt the power overwhelming him once more. When he woke he was laying on top of his Kyoketsu. He stood up and the spine of the beast followed. He knew what had happened. However his emotion was not anger. It wasn’t frustration. It was happy. He felt a new limb attached to him, the spine of the dragon fusing to him as a tail. He could move this new commodity at will; it had even grown skin and muscles. His mission hadn’t changed but his demeanor had. This newfound power could only strengthen him. Thus he sought to make myself even more powerful. The next dragon rumor to spread took him far north to Frejlord. An ice dragon hid itself atop a snowy mountain. He quickly scaled the mountain using his newfound abilities This beast was no trouble for Koru. He thrust his tail through the dragon’s eyes. The blood ran down the tail and over his body. He experience pain once more, this time he resisted his bodies desire to pass out. He caught his reflection on the way out his eyes slit down the middle as if he was a reptile. He found his next prey in the shadow Isles. Rumors of this beast were that it could pass through shadows unseen. Koru set sail across the sea and instead of finding him the beast flew out to meet him at the shore line. To his surprise it spoke. “You sniveling Brat, you dare to hunt down my kind”? Those you killed were weak pathetic individuals, I am Slyvin the Shadow.” He pounded his tail against the side of the boat. He picked Koru up in his jaws and bit down, tossing him to the shore. He laid there bleeding out. Rage filled him once more. He felt a quick surge of power flying high into the sky As he glance behind himself he saw massive wings had sprawled from his back. He flew ferociously down at the beast and thrust his tail through the dragon. As it feel to the shore Koru quickly bathed in its blood. Nothing happened. He felt stronger, but no physical change overcame him. He could not understand what was happening and drew into seclusion, back to where it all began. After many months back in the jungle an old friend approached the cave. Wukong smiled and told Koru of his adventures in a place called the League of Legends. But what sparked Koru’s curiosity were two things. First a half human half dragon fought there. Not only was there that but the dragon related to this human hybrid was related to the one whom had destroyed Koru’s village. He wanted to see her writhe in pain. As if that weren't enough reason to join, apparently the league had captured a dragon with the ability to regenerate after a certain amount of time. He knew he had to test his might against these foes. He also wanted answers, as to what curse the dragon had bestowed upon him. He chuckled as they left the cave. That dragon was right, he was no longer himself, he had become what he hated. Friends: Wukong Enemies: Shyvana, Jarvin IV, Garen, Quinn, Master Yi CHARACTER DESIGN: Of course he is more oriental in nature as he is from ionia and that area takes on a oriental theme. He has medium long black hair, with a strip of cloth (that could go down his back) keeping his hair in a ponytail. Standing shirtless he has multiple scars from fights with dragons. His right arm is covered in dragon scales and his fingers are longer with sharp claws on the end. The scales reach all the way to his shoulder. His left forearm has a guard fashioned from scales of the shadow dragon. He wears hakama for pants, although they are ripped at the bottom. He wears no shoes as his feet have become so calloused from years in the jungle. His eyes are that of a dragon and glow a blue hue. He has darker skin though and his tail swings behind him. I imagine him similar to The prince of Persia
