[Champion Concept] Vivien, Quirin, and Edvar: The Trio of the Wild

Description: Vivien, Quirin, and Edvar is a multi-person champion. Vivien, Quirin, and Edvar each have their own health bars and stats (see below). Quirin and Edvar always passively position themselves in defensive positions around Vivien. They move as she moves, maintaining their position around Vivien, and will attack any champion, monster, or minion she attacks. Together they work to control their surroundings and protect Vivien at all costs. Vivien needs to be killed to count as a champion kill. However upon her death Quirin and Edvar (if also alive) become enraged, gaining temporary bonuses until they cannot take the death of their beloved Vivien any longer. Quirin collapses into rubble and Edvar erupts in a fiery blaze, as a tree lit on fire.

Lore: Vivien is a fragile and mysterious creature, perhaps a nymph or damsel, who hides a foreboding and terrible power. Her comrades, Quirin and Edvar, are her staunch protectors who are unwittingly under her curse. Madly in love with their mistress, each vies jealously for Vivien's good favor and would do anything for her. Together they wander the Wilds following Vivien's lead in search of adventure and power, never once wondering what sorcery could have caused them to worship their mistress so.

Passive (P): Jealousy Among Friends: Stricken by jealous affection, they will automatically attack any enemy champion within 375 range of Vivien. If Vivien dies before they do, Quirin and Edvar will each become enraged, gaining a bonus and will attempt to out do each other in an attempt to avenge Vivien. Quirin gains a 375 slow field, and Edvar gains a 375 burn field. However, they cannot live for long without their beloved mistress; each perishes after 10 seconds, and will respawn with Vivien.

If Quirin or Edvar perishes before their mistress, they disintegrate and cannot be brought back or used by Vivien's sorcery for 15 seconds.

Q: Move Quirin: (500 range) Quirin charges to a target location dealing moderate Aoe damage (+40%AP) and an aoe slow. He will remain at this position as long as he is at most 700 range away from Vivien and will attack nearby enemies with a low Attack Speed AOE auto attack. If Vivien moves further than 700 range away, Quirin returns to his mistress' side. Upon recalling to Vivien, Quirin gains a 1 second stun charge which he may use on his first auto attack on any enemy champion within range. The charges will stack if Quirin is recalled multiple times, but can only be applied once per enemy.

W: **Damsel in Distress: ** *Vivien gains armor and MR, but will receive any damage that Quirin or Edvar takes for up to 5 seconds. Can be activated before the 5 seconds are up to switch locations with Quirin or Edvar and gain Spell vamp and Lifesteal for 3 seconds. *

E: Move Edvar: * Edvar leaps to a target location and launches a burning arrow in a targeted direction, damaging (*100%AP) the first unit struck. (600 range leap, 400 range arrow) The shot will pass through the unit struck to any units behind, which will burn for 3 seconds dealing damage over time (+10% AP per tick) to themselves and passing the effect to any units within 275 range of them. If Vivien moves further than 700 units away, Edvar will recall to Vivien and shoot an arrow into the eye of the closest enemy champion in range, blinding them for 2 seconds. *

R: Witch of the Wilds: Vivien siphons her power from Quirin and Edvar and transforms into a terrifying banshee, dealing magic damage (+60% AP)(+40 % of Vivien's missing health) and fearing nearby enemies for .5 seconds. (350 range) Vivien gains size and the combined current and maximum health, AD, AP, Armor and MR of Quirin and Edvar (if alive) and Vivien and transforms into the Witch of the Wilds. She instantly deals AOE damage around her based on a percentage of Vivien's missing health, and fears all units around her for .5 seconds. She retains this form for 5 seconds. During this duration, Quirin and Edvar are unavailable, and thus her Q,W, and E. The Witch of the Wilds can auto attack in a melee range and her auto attacks will slow and deal an AOE burn on-hit. Upon ending, Vivien, Quirin and Edvar all return, splitting the Witch's current health between them.

Overview: VQE is a control AOE AP Mage with a huge twist. Some of the statistics normal champions receive (Max health, base AD, Armor, MR, range) are split across VQE's three persons. This means that for instance at level one, their stats could be:

Vivien: 300 Health, 40 AD, 20 MR, 20 Armor, 500 Range Quirin: 200 Health, 25 AD, 25 MR, 30 Armor, 175 Range (melee) Edvar: 150 Health, 35 AD, 10 MR, 15 Armor, 400 Range

Effects that depend on range (hydra, hurricane) will act only on their respective units (only quirin gets the hydra aoe, Vivien and edvar can both get hurricane effect!), and status effects like stuns, slows, knockups, zhonyas or QSS can affect all of them! On hits could be applied from each person; but their base auto attack speeds would have to be around .5 or .4 to prevent BotrK from being too oppressive, and perhaps spell blades could only be applied to the person being moved. Lifesteal and Spell vamp would definitely be applied to all of them: If Edvar lifesteals, the others gain health as well.

At first glance, this could seem extremely weak or extremely powerful. On one hand, only Vivien needs to be killed to score a kill, and she only has 300 health. On the other hand, their combined auto attack damage at lvl 1 is 100 (OUCH!). Vivien will need to control the zones around her in order to keep herself safe, and she has Quirin and Edvar to accomplish this. Together, they can zone out enemies and farm for her. Enemies can try to remove Quirin and Edvar from the playing field, and Vivien can help them out by joining the fray with her W, by tanking the damage with her W, or by stepping away so that Quirin and Edvar recall to her. Upon reaching lvl 6 she gains access to her witch transformation which deals significant damage and can turn a fight, but also causes her to loose access to her mobility and utility through Quirin and Edvar.

There are at least two build paths I can see that you could take playing as VQE. One would focus on her AP ratios and Mage control properties with item 3027 item 3157 item 3151 item 3135 item 3152 item 3158 . Play her in a similar manner to Orianna, controlling where your enemy can be and creating a nice buffer zone between you and your opponent. If your opponent decides to focus Edvar or Quirin too much and the opportunity presents itself, hit W, switch with one of them, and ult. You will be hurt by the W shielding, but you can make that back up with the spell vamp and lifesteal from your W when you ult.

Playing against this style, try to poke from afar if you can, or if you cannot, try to assassinate Vivien outright. She will be very susceptible to someone like lux or Xerath, who can target vivien without having to worry about Quirin and Edvar. VQE is more protected against assassins with Quirin's stun and Edvar's blind, but they must be recalled and next to her to use these abilities. Thus, close the gap quickly an strike before they can return to her! Her ult may do a lot of damage initially, but she looses her abilities and also her mobility. Keep this in mind, and try to predict it and stay out of range when the initial damage strikes.

Another could build could focus on their combined base AD and defensive advantage and build as a brusier/fighter with item 3153 item 3078 item 3083 item 3143 item 3065 item 3158

Playing as this style, rely heavily on Edvar. He can extend your effective range to 1000 (although you will only do his base damage+extra total AD) and can make your enemies second guess their decision to focus Vivien. This may seem like a marksman style of play, but remember that your mobility as edvar is limited by your E cooldown: any marksman that stands still for even 3 seconds will never succeed. Use Edvar for poking and finishing off a kill. Meanwhile, Quirin is an incredible engage tool: send him in to deal initial damage and slow, then switch him with Vivien and ult.

Playing against this style, poke will again be your friend. VQE will still seek to control the playing field, but now she will have to auto attack to do her full damage. It will be imperative to get rid of Edvar and/or Quirin first, especially once VQE picks up resistances (making her harder to assassinate). Without AP VQE's poke will not be has obnoxious, so you should be able to move on Vivien's protectors more easily. Keep in mind that killing Quirin or Edvar puts her Q and E on a 15 second cooldown that is not affected by cdr; she will be vulnerable and easy to kill without their defenses.
