[Champion Suggestion] Nesh, The light bender (with music)

Leon Black·1/27/2019, 8:02:51 PM·2 votes·1,796 views

Name: Nesh, The light bender

Role: apc/jungler

Lane: mid/jungle

Range: ranged 550;

Movement: 340

Mana: 300-900

Passive: light bringer.

each ability Nesh casts, leaves a light bud on the target for 3 seconds, allowing him and him teammates to do extra 5/10/20 (+10% ap)(+10% ad) magical damage (scaling at 6/11/16 lvl). If the target dies the light buds spread to the nearest targets just like ryze's e.

a target can not be affected twice for 8s

Q: distorted light (skillshot; range: 550 units; cost: 30 mana per cast; 10/8.5/6/4.5/3 second cooldown):

(no cool down between casts)

  • First cast: Nesh unleashes a small beam of light to the target location that damages enemies that it passes through for 30/40/50/60/70 magical damage (+30% ap) (the length of the beam depends on how far the player casts it) leaving a small ball of light at the end of animation that does nothing for now. Nesh can recast this ability within 3s. if he doesn't the ability goes into cool down.

  • Second cast: from the small ball of light he left behind on the first cast nesh can draw out the light again to another target location doing the same amount of damage to everyone it passes through. (the range of the ability is around nesh, not the ball. nesh can go out of the range of the ball and still cast this ability.) Nesh can recast this ability within 3s. if he doesn't the ability goes into cool down.

  • Third cast: same as second cast but half the damage.

if this skill is maxed, it also inflicts grievous wounds.

W: light mirror: (cost: 60 mana; area cast; range: 300; 15/13/11/9/7 second cooldown)

Passive: Nesh gains 2/4/6/8/10% movement speed.

Nesh casts a mirror wall on the target location that absorbs the first enemy skill that hits it (just like yasuo's shield). the absorbed skill is then returned targeting the enemies. Enemies with light buds are prioritized. Champions are prioritized over minions.

if this skill is maxed, it can absorb more than 1 skill if there are more hitting the mirror

E: light prison (area cast; cost: 50 mana; 400 range; 11/10/9/8/7 second cooldown)

Nesh creates on the ground a triangle of light with the size of roughly 550 units that snares for 3 seconds all enemies that step on it (just like veigar's e but with snare instead of stun, animation and chanel time included) Targets that are not snared but are inside the area, get a 55% slow that decays over time.

if this skill is maxed it deals 20/25/30/35/40 physical damage (+15% ad) to everyone affected.

R: The light bender: (self cast; duration: 2s/3s/4s; 90/70/50 second cooldown)

Nesh is cleared of every negative effect and gains a spell shield that deflects every ability that is cast onto him for the next 2/3/4s. while active, each ability he absorbs give him 5% movement speed (maximum 30%).

if this skill is maxed, at the end of the ability the spell shield explodes dealing around him 40/60/80 magical damage (+35% ap) (+30% AD)

Lore: in order to understand this lore you need to read my other creation: Ni' Vex.

Nesh is a boy with golden-skinned boy with horns and bat-like wings that fell from the sky, onto mount tarragon. First found by Leona, witch instead of killing him, she led him safely off the mountain. Slowly he realized he came from the sun, and had special abilities, he started remembering his purpose and finally returned to that mountain, talking to Leona in the old Rakkor tongue and finally giving her her abilities and making her his follower. It took him some time but he finally remembered everything. He had sensed a great evil presence upon runeterra and decided to stop fight and stop it. That presence was Ni' Vex. At the time Ni' Vex was not very strong and managed to stay away from Nesh. They fought countless of times, light and shadow. Who is going to win?

Its quite good. I see you put a lot of time and effort into this champ and i personally love how you created the concept from leona's story. Great music too.

Interesting kit. The E in many ways reminds me of Deckard from HotS.

The W is actually very similar to something Voidling did...let me find the concept I'm thinking of so you can see. I'm not saying you're stealing ideas or anything, and I'm sure he wont take it that way either, I just find it interesting to see more than one person with this idea without anyone at Riot taking notice that we all want an ability that can re-target enemy skillshots. xD

Q essentially has no cooldown at max rank, and has a decent scaling for an ability that can cast 3 times. I'd bump the cooldowns up to enforce that this guy build at least a little CDR for the constant spamming, but otherwise don't see it as imbalanced.

My one question is with his ult: when you say "deflects" do you mean it as in the same way as his W, or do you mean they simply repel off and do nothing? Because that form of invulnerability is already really strong on its own without bouncing all attacks back at people.

Am I the only one who realizes the music in the picture isn't even for violin...

lol

It's a really cool concept.

His q is simply awsome! I suggest making the third cast do 100% damage too. Lore-wise, it doesn't really make sense to half it. Game-wise, it will make hitting the third cast more important, giving him a much higher skill ceiling.

His w is also quite the ability. I suggest making it do some interactions with his q (light and mirror, archimedes, you know). You probably should also mention how long the mirror lasts (especially when maxed out).

Overall neat concept. Definitely a champion worth to be added to League (sorry i voted 9/10, can't really listen to the music right now xP).
