The Living Gray
The Zaun Gray... The result of years of mistreating our lands. Runeterra has it's mountains, with it's crisp and clean air. And it has it's slums. With the vile, toxic, unbreathable smog. The Zaun Gray. I have lived here my whole life, and I have never really cared about it all. The smog, the people dying from the chemicals in the air, the inhumanity of it all. But that was when I was human, ironically enough, I only care now because I am something slightly less so. I do not know my real name, I have no memory of a time when I was not alone. Shopkeeps call me Zen, because I am so content, I guess. Never making a fuss, never caring. I spent the majority of my days on rooftops, wandering about, as carefree as any teenager could be, no matter where they were from. Only about a million times more. I lived, ate, and slept up here. The smog was visible from these heights, but I did not care. I enjoyed the solitude.
I was sleeping on an unfamiliar roof, when I heard a sound all too familiar. The sound of a stolen Hextech Engine, roaring to life. It startled me, jostling me from my slumber I looked for the source of the sound. I looked down, through the cracks in the roof. And I saw it. A machine, filled with Gray smog and smoke. I could not see much else, but I was determined to. I moved for a better position, when the roof gave way beneath me. I crashed onto the machine. Sending sparks and smog and whatever the hell else fuels a Hextech core. The men operating the machines, scientists, thugs, it made no difference. They ran like cowards. Screaming about the Living Gray. Whatever that was. Something assaulted my lungs, and I passed out. When I awoke... My body was not just my own. And something inside me, thirsted for blood. The blood of it's creators. It's captors. I was chosen as a vessel, to be held captive within my own body. And The Gray kept me alive. It sustained me, when I tried to starve myself to death. Sealed my otherwise fatal wounds in the blink of an eye. I was it's host, but it was in control. And so our Journey began. Zen, and the Gray.
Zen's Passive is Living Gray- it Replaces the traditional Mana bar with a, you guessed it, gray colored energy source. While this is not a problem for him, as he has enough mana to combo his full kit early on, his cooldowns can be quite unforgiving if he wastes a spell. Recharching like mana, over time, and also like energy, with movement. However not as much as you would see on someone like Shen, where you take three steps, and then you have a full resource bar. At full Gray, the next Auto attack costs ten "mana" and deals damage over time, like a Red Buffed auto. This passive can only occur once per 12 seconds. Meaning he has to but in some work after his initial empowered auto, in order to keep life in the lanes fair.
Zen's Q is Funnel Cloud- With every point spent in this ability, it raises the damage over time, and the duration of the MS Buff. The buff is removed at the end of the ability, at most the buff lasts 6 seconds. The ability is great for get aways, Kiting, or wave clearing an unopposed lane. Unopposed only because the cooldown is 15 seconds with no CDR- COST 60 Gray The idea here is to shroud yourself and damage all would be attackers, in the process. While the ability itself is no bigger than a Renekton ulitmate, less so, actually considering he does not get any bigger because of it. The Gray goes where he goes, it doesn't trail behind him, so he is safe to chase and wait out his q, as it only last a few seconds. And the cooldown is relatively long. Zen's W is Gust of Gray- With every point you spend in this ability, it increases the speed of the spread and the Damage dealt. Deals bonus damage to the first champion hit, slowing them immediately, and normal damage to enemies/ monsters after the initial contact. Whereas, the Aftermath causes all enemies in the cloud to become slowed, by 15 Base MS on rank one. Increases with rank. Cooldowns on this one are slightly less harsh, coming in at 10 seconds with no CDR- COST 45 Gray
Zen's E is Gray Area- With every other point you spend in this ability, it increases the depth of the traps (Just a visual way to show increased damage potential) and the Damage dealt. Similar to Quinn's blind, it cannot be evaded or dodged. Once triggered, anyone caught in the explosion has greatly reduced vision over a three second period, which gradually returns, towards the end. Can hold 2 stacks of Gray Area, and the cooldown is 45 seconds between Charges, until you use all your charges. If you run out the cooldown is 60 seconds. Similar to smite.
NOTE, I PREVIOUSLY MADE THIS ABILITY TERRIBLY HARD TO UNDERSTAND. POST EDIT. These are Teemo shrooms without the poison. They grant vision like Shrooms do, you can place them anywhere a shroom can be placed, but the bounce effect does not apply. The traps effects stack, but 2 or more of the traps will deplete simultaneously. Meaning, placing two right next to each other would be completely stupid and such a waste.
- COST 55 Gray
Zen's R is Atmospheric Assault- It knocks enemies in a small radius up (The radius being only Slightly larger than the hitbox for Xerath's Ultimate. Barely big enought o fit two, THREE IF YOU ARE EXTREMELY LUCKY, champions.), all those caught in the knock up take an immediate chunk of AP damage, and are then subject to reduced DOT, However there is a larger outer radius in which Living Gray is created. Causing enemies in the outer radius upon the time of cast to take increased DOT and are hit with a 20% Base MS slow (Radius is similar to Pantheon's Grand Skyfall. Slightly smaller, Making it a definite ability to either tank or flash out of). Cooldowns for this are 150 seconds, at rank 1 with no CDR. Cost is 100 Gray.

On a side note I apologize for my lack of scalings, and my terrible Art work. If you could even call it that.
This champion can be played Mid or Support, as it was intended to have Great HP item scaling and Armor scaling to fit the Lore. Depending on your build you can build a glass cannon, or a Tanky CC and Zoning machine.
Items like
should be CORE to the Glass Cannon build whereas
Should be CORE to the Tank build.
FEEDBACK IS VITAL I will respond courtly. Thank you for your time.
Edit, I will be trying to crunch numbers to make a viable champion format. Health, Resource, Base stats, things like that. I appreciate your patience!
While I realize I am not uploading an original image, I am going to upload a picture of someone with a similar attitude. I am not giving him all the same traits, he won't be a genius but he won't be dumb either. He is just relaxed. Laid back. His appearance should reflect him, but The Gray should be included in any artistic renderings as well. The Gray is the only part of him that cares for battle, the reason he wound up in the Institute at all. The Gray is a parasite, and not all parasites affect the appearance of their host. So, Here is the image for someone who is kind of similar to him, someone I would be happy to have Zen compared to. "should" have been), and has unique reasons to pick them, and clear weakneses. Although I like the idea to have them be able to chose a tank build or an AP build, that is always really hard to balance and can lead to some really stupid things (AP
, Tank
)
