First off, here's the link to Lynia's story teaser: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/HjAaHT5T-champion-idea-teaser-story

Alright, so let's get started:

Fun Fact: Lynia's name comes from the Danish word "lyn" which means "lightning"

I am an AWFUL artist, so any artwork you guys submit is heavily appreciated.

Appearance: normal human girl with pale skin and green eyes (EXCEPTION: when using R, skin becomes translucent, color of storm clouds, and eyes become lightning sparks)

NOTE: Numbers for stats and abilities may need tweaking - these are rough estimates.

Basic Stats: Base Health: 450 (+50 per level) Base Mana: 375 (+30 per level) Primary Position: Mage Secondary Position: N/A (possibly assassin due to heavy burst) Armor: 24 (+2 per level) Magic Resist: 31 Attack Speed: 0.625 (+0.03 per level) Attack Damage: 70 (+1.7 per level) Attack Range: 500 Base Movement Speed: 330

NOTE: Thank you RangerofShadows and Lightningbolt777 for helping me balance these skills!

Abilities: Passive: Born of Lightning Lynia is not entirely corporeal, so she has 10% damage reduction. In addition to this, every 90/80/70/60 seconds (at level 1/6/11/16), Lynia can block the next fatal attack (the attack or spell that would have killed her), reflecting the damage onto her attacker (can be reduced by armor and/or magic resist).

Q: Lightning Bolt Lynia strikes an enemy with a lightning bolt after a 0.5 second delay, dealing 70/100/130/160/190 magic damage (+40% AP). This ability deals double damage against enemies below 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% health (AP scaling does not change). Cooldown: 10/8.5/7/6.5/5 seconds Mana Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana

W: Static Wall Lynia commands two lightning bolts to strike the ground at a specific location, where they then weave together over 1.5 seconds, forming a wall that is 400/475/550/625/700 units long and lasts for 4 seconds. Enemies caught in the wall when it is created take 80/100/120/140/160 (+25% AP) magic damage and are stunned for 1 second. Allies can pass through the wall normally (no speed boosts). Enemies who pass through the wall (including dashes/pushes/pulls/knockbacks) take half damage, but have the same stun duration. Cooldown: 18 seconds at all ranks Mana Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 mana

E: Shock Lynia fires a raw lightning bolt in a target direction (skillshot) that stops on the first enemy champion hit and deals 65/80/95/110/125 (+50% AP) magic damage. Enemies with CC applied (any form - slows/stuns/taunts/fears/roots/silences, etc.) take double damage (AP scaling does not change). The bolt then lingers in the area for 2 seconds before erupting in a 300 unit circle, dealing 65/80/95/110/125 (+50% AP) magic damage. Cooldown: 15/13.5/12/10.5/9 seconds Mana Cost: 70/80/90/100/110 mana

R: Heart of the Storm Lynia channels for 2 seconds before revealing her true form for 10/15/20 seconds. While her ultimate is active, she gains maximum cooldown reduction (capped at 40% EVEN with masteries, so don't take cooldown reduction masteries :P) and her other abilities are amplified:

  • Born of Lightning damage reduction doubled
  • Lightning Strike becomes Lightning Storm - now deals damage in a 550 unit circle
  • Static Wall becomes Electrifying Wall - maximum length increased by 100 units, and if cast between two walls (for example, the entrance to dragon or baron pits), weaves into place and becomes impassible terrain (does not work on lane walls - that would just be unfair)
  • Shock becomes Double-Strike - after dealing damage to an enemy champion, now splits into two bolts that arc back towards the initial casting point (NOT towards Lynia), forming a 700 unit circle, which explodes after a 1 second delay (deals same damage as original explosion in Shock and can be flashed/dashed/Thresh lanterned/Jarvan IV flagged and dragon striked/Amumu bandaged (etc.) out of to avoid damage)

When the active ends, Lynia channels again for 1 second to revert to human form. Cooldown: 150 seconds at all ranks Mana Cost: 100/125/150 mana

NOTE: The lore is a bit short, may need to post a longer one.

Lore: Her mother was beautiful - a storm that spanned miles, a true force of nature. She would have destroyed Runeterra had its magic users not united in an unique show of teamwork to destroy the massive storm.

Lynia was only just created when she felt the magic users begin to fight her mother, who shielded her from harm as best as she could. But once the storm realized that she stood no chance against the magic that was slowly killing her, she gave Lynia a parting gift - true sentience - before forcing her out of the magic's range. Lynia could only watch as her mother was killed, and the storm's dying words would forever echo in her ears: "Kill or be killed. That is the way of this world."

When Lynia finally felt that it was safe to approach Runeterra, she crashed onto one of its far north shores: the Freljord. There, she spent years undetected, struggling to find a way to appear human. She was saved by the discovery of a human body - a member of the Avarosan, killed in some struggle Lynia would never discover the reason for. Lynia inhabited the dead girl's body, and finally could teach herself the human ways.

Once she deemed her disguise sufficient - she tested it by interacting with Freljordians for an entire week, and no one noticed that fact that the green-eyed girl was actually a sentient storm - Lynia set out to destroy the magic users in revenge, since it was her duty as her mother's only surviving child to do so.

If you should ever meet Lynia, turn and walk the other way. And if she chases after you, then you are certainly doomed.

Thanks for reading!

I like that passive, a couple balance notes though. Have Q mana cost be 70/75/80/85/90 and change W cd yo be somewhere between 18-22 seconds. Early mana costs are too high and instant aoe cc that lasts over time, does continuous dmg, and speeds up allies needs a longer cd.

Please don't be afraid to leave your feedback here - this concept is far from perfect, and could use all the help it can get!
