To the Team that Refused to Surrender ...

Thank you.

I mean it. If we had surrendered, we wouldn't have pulled off the amazing comeback we had. I wouldn't have learned all those tips and tricks about Ahri from my enemy midlaner (an Ahri main). We wouldn't have gotten those nice plays. And Tristana wouldn't have gotten that epic Pentakill (here's to you, Trist!).

Thank you for encouraging me to keep playing. That was one of the best games I've had today.

Honestly people just need to stop giving up so easily. The game isnt over till the Nexus is down. Granted there are exceptions to this, but for the most part (like when someone gets First Blood, or one turret is down) people should be playing till the end!

Ya. Turns out you don't win 100% of the time you surrender. I don't like those odds

I've played in three games like this, and every time, the game stands out as the epitome of League. I love it when teams don't surrender, no matter the odds. I've been on both sides of the conflict, too (RIP 48/25/72 Nautilus, it was a hard lost battle) and I have come to the conclusion that as long as there are turrets on the map, I will see a game to its end. Those fights are truly the best League has to offer.

With two inhibs down and both nexus turrets taken out, i tell my team we have to rally together for one final push quickly or risk losing the game, the enemy team was starting to band together and really put up a fight against us. Our thresh informs me the other team is, in fact, "totally fucked", and starts messing around trying to get kills with his adc by themselves in front of the final bot turret.

got aced 5 minutes later and lost game.

Never give up so easy, and NEVER assume the enemy teams gonna lie down and take it if you decide to abuse your lead for easy kills instead of ending :b

Games are SO much more fun when you live or die as a TEAM....there is no team in calling a surrender. It's just individuals that don't feel like "wasting their time". Ranked games are worse than non ranked games for this sort of attitude and it just sucks. :(

To the Team that Refused to Surrender ...

I want my 30 minutes back.

To the team that refused to surrender,

We were down 30 kills, six turrets, four dragons, and they got baron not once, but twice. I'm all for persevering and trying to win in an uphill fight, but when the enemy is ahead of us by 8,000 gold at the 20 minute mark it's time to call it quits. When I call for additional surrenders because we've lost every team fight for the last ten minutes and can't even 4v1 their carries don't tell me it's "all gonna be fine" and continue to deny votes just because you happen to have enough people for it. For fuck's sake, learn when the game is lost. There are games you can come back from and some you simply can't. Don't waste everyone's time trying to play protagonist.

I pray you learned from this mistake, Your Titlted Teammate

However. Nothing is more obnoxious then being down 20 kills and 2 waves of turrets.with a confirmed troll. And every surrender vote has failed 3/2 because the troll and 1 other player is voting no just to prolong the game and make both teams miserable

That's me every game.

I came back from a game once where the enemy team had all 11 of our towers down and all 3 inhibs. And we had like 1-3 towers. Never surrender kids.

To the team that didn't surrender in my game last night:

You wasted an additional 30 minutes of time as I went 2-19 and we still lost while I took 1600HP 1 hitters from Miss Fortune.

Thank you for wasting my time and ensuring I was too tired to play again.

If you can survive to lategame, it is sometimes possible that a team with a huge lead will throw somehow and be dead long enough for you to push their base in.

But if this happens in 5% of games where you are losing badly (and it's probably fewer), is it worth adding an extra 10-15 minutes to every single game that you're 95% certain to lose at 20 minutes?

Playing more games means you can win more games. If you have a positive win percentage, then playing more games means you will climb faster. If you only have an hour to play, it is not fun to have two people insist on dragging out what is clearly a loss at 7 minutes into a 45 minute nightmare.

And, frankly, even when likely losses turn into wins, they're rarely the kind of wins I feel good about. Usually it is something like Susan farming stacks in top lane for half an hour while everyone else gets kicked in the teeth, and then he wanders mid and aces the opponent.

Glad people like me bettered your day by preventing you from doing something you shouldn't be allowed to do anyway.

Now that you've had a grand experience of surrender refusal; please never vote yes again.

It shouldn't even be a feature.
