Champion Conception Librarium: Where Champion Concepts Rise and Flourish UPDATE 1.1

Welcome to the Champion Concept Librarium

Here, you can post links to champion concepts that you've had so that other people may find it and take a look, giving your concepts more publicity and renown. As this post goes on, I will repost this so that way it doesn't get lost deep within the archives and will always be easy to find for viewers old and new. As I update the page, I will feature champion concepts that I find really interesting and think others should see. Some of the ones I will feature simply because they are good ideas that don't get enough attention by the viewers. All you have to do is post a link to your champion concepts in the comments below and give a brief description of your champion including name, role (mage, tank, fighter, marksman, support, assassin), and any other attributes or descriptions you want to add. To get featured, you must have at the minimum the champions lore and abilities listed in a detailed and and organized fashion. The only information that will be listed for any featured concepts will be the name of the champion and the link to the post. Any champion concepts that aren't featured that had been posted in the comments when I update the page will have links posted in another section. Feel free to look around and enjoy your time here in the Librarium.

This update came pretty fast now, didn't it? The reason for this is because we have some things to add to the page layout along with some new champion concepts for you all to see. New to the page is the Librarium Archives, a section that contains champion concepts that were posted on past pages along with links to earlier Librarium pages. New to the Featured list is Aelita: The Sword of Destruction. Be sure to check it out! Keep on posting your champion concepts in the comments so we always have something new to add!

Faerlina, the Crimson Wing (Mage / Assassin).... The last monarch of ancient Ionia and the only other person who knows the truth about Lissandra. Faerlina acquired the power of flame to save her people, but eventually became just as corrupt as Lissandra and began to spread her own empire.

I have a couple to post, 2 champions. Hey, I wanted to talk a bit with you about this thread and it's clones, because I think it's being misused because of a few key misunderstandings about the new boards and the community.

So, first of all, there is no need to repost a thread like this with a version 1.1 or anything like that. The boards are self-curating, and content that is interesting and generates discussion will naturally rise up and maintain its stature, while that which the community does not have a keen interest in falls off fairly quickly. The need for bumping and reposting is gone, any information a 1.1 post might contain could easily be edited into the body of the original post.

Now, a point that I think is perhaps more important is one of tone and purpose. Why does this page exist? The forums as they are right now are a perfectly apt way to find currently interesting champion ideas and communicate with and about them. I've seen several threads like this in the past and they have never had the staying power they need to accomplish their goal.

I'm going to say something that is perhaps a little hard to hear now, so heads up: This type of thread and the way it is handled does nothing to promote the community but rather feeds into the vanity of it's members in an ultimately toxic way. It fails to serve the community in a meaningful way, and will only have a short-lived fame due to an initial desire of people to be seen, only to collapse when they give nothing in return.

I'm probably just on a bad footing here because you're reposting needlessly, the first two champions are yours (and you didn't tell anyone that) and your threat (Please refrain from any inappropriate behaviour in the comments below or there may be consequences based upon your actions.) kind of bothers me, but I would recommend that a project like this be thoroughly repurposed if it were to be continued at all.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but I care about this community and I don't want to see people trying to draw attention without meaningfully giving back, and that's what every "Champion Compendium" has been so far.

PS: Don't threaten people. It just puts them on edge.
