@Riot Question About Ezreal's Concept

I happened to be digging up some old school Sega Genesis games that I used to play and came across the game called Beyond Oasis. It was an action RPG that was really cool, but I could never get anywhere in it as a kid. Upon turning the game on and watching the beginning cutscene, the main character looked really familiar.

The protagonist looks extremely similar to Ezreal. Everything from the hairstyle, hair color, the gauntlet on one arm and the fact that he's an explorer/treasure hunter. After noticing this I wondered if someone at Riot or Ezreal himself drew inspiration from this game or the character during the concept phase for the Champion Ezreal?

If there's anyone around at Riot that was around during the development of Ezreal, can you guys confirm or deny this?

If inspiration was drawn from this game, it would be really cool. Otherwise, this may just be a spooky coincidence...
