Issue of Trolls in Black Market Brawlers

I don't know about you guys but I've been running into a large abundance of trolls in this game mode. A lot more than usual and trust me, I've been keeping count.

Out of the 10 games I have played so far, there has been at least 1 troll in 6 of them. The reason why I've been keeping count is because I always take into consideration the fact that you always mentally remember more negative experiences than positive ones and it always 'seems' like you run into trolls more than you actually do, but in this case, it's an actuality.

So far the grand total is 4 trolls on my team and 2 trolls on the enemy team. So overall, I've only been negatively affected in 4 of my games and it doesn't always result in a loss. It just depends on how well we can carry and/or make up for the other persons mistakes.

To be more specific as to what I keep running into:

  1. People picking absurd Champions for roles they don't belong in that doesn't work. (Sona Jungle that gets executed twice within' 5 minutes and doesn't gank lanes)
  2. People intentionally feeding (Example: Running up to enemies and just taunting them until they are killed)
  3. People building incorrect items on their Champions. (Building full AP on a champion that scales off AD)
  4. People not spending their Krakens. (THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE. The enemy team will spend them, but if you have 1-2 people not spending on your team, you lose easily because their pushing power goes through the roof, especially mid-late game.)
  5. People choosing to Jungle and taking the Poacher's item, just to sit and attempt to counter jungle the enemy team to farm Krakens. Ignoring their own team, not providing support, ganks or teamfights and literally just sitting in their jungle until they are eventually killed. Then going immediately back and doing the same thing.

The game I just got out of, we had a Syndra that refused to spend his Krakens and when we questioned him about why he had 55 unspent, he started intentionally trolling by roaming around in the jungle and doing really odd things. Naturally we lost because the enemy had more powerful minions. That wasn't the only reason, as our poor teamwork was a contributing factor to the loss, but the minions were more of a detriment.

I get this is supposed to be a cool/fun game mode and I know some people don't know how to play it because they don't read any current events or the website. But it's not fun for me when I keep getting losses that are out of my control because people want to throw the game. It's not cool, it's not fun.

Riot should implement a short video/tutorial for these game modes and make it mandatory that you see it before you're allowed into these modes. It would alleviate the issues of people not knowing what they're doing and ruining the experience for others. Sure, I can instruct the other teammates about what they need to do and I don't mind helping people, but that takes time away from what I'm supposed to be focusing on, and that's my own gameplay.

When we're getting pushed into our base by the enemy teams full 5 level 3 upgraded minions and we only have 3 of our minions upgraded to try and balance it out, and I have to hawk eye to make sure everyone knows that they're supposed to spend their Krakens (Which at that point, it's already too late because the enemy has established a decent lead) and think to myself "Oh, well we just lost this game because two of our people have 50+ Krakens. There goes 35+ minutes of my day wasted on ignorance" isn't an enjoyable experience.

I wouldn't mind watching a short one time 2 minute video built into the client like the ability videos before being allowed to play the game mode if it meant we can avoid this nonsense.

How is this trolling? Nothing about the event is explained at all and you're just thrown into a game with no idea what you should be doing. Players read the text that tells them to kill monsters in the enemy's jungle and so that's what they try to do. If they fail at it, that's not trolling because playing badly is not trolling.

As for not upgrading minions... that's another thing that's just not going to be obvious right away. And trying to decide what to upgrade is ridiculous when you have no idea what they do.

Again none of this shit is explained in the game or client so how are people supposed to know how to play?

They do some explaining as part of the demonstration game video, but of course it's not required.

If BMB has its own MMR, you'll eventually stop getting placed with people who have no clue how it works, but that may take longer than the duration of the mode...

the only problem i've experienced in this game mode so far is people taking it WAYYYY too seriously as if it were just a normal summoners rift game. i can be reading items and what they do and suddenly someone is raging at me for sitting in base for15-30 seconds. pretty toxic game mode so far...
