This was a pretty as hell game. A bit difficult, and not a terribly compelling story, but DAMN it was pretty. I would love to see a Gnar skin with similar qualities as this, but I feel like Mega Gnar in this could be like a big treant monster sort of thing.

It absolutely kills my computer though. Haven't played a 2D game that could do that ever since Dwarf Fortress.

Excuse me, Dwarf Fortress is 3D.... You just can't see them at the same time. Too much info.

Except for some plugin that comes packaged with dfhack/lnp. That'll show lower layers when you're viewing open space. It's pretty nice. Try it if you haven't- I think it's in with Text will be Text, but I'm not sure.

Nah I like my vanilla graphics. But yeah I guess it is technically 3D.

Oh a treant monster would be awesome and fitting. Make mini gnar a leaf light spirit but then he turns into this giant spirity tree.

"Super Metroid" and "Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" styled gameplay. Ghibli/Miyazaki artstyle, music & story tropes, with added "The Lion King" and "The Iron Giant" story tropes.

I don't think you had a childhood. eh forget that argument, there a shit-ton of fun 2D games you're missing out on. A game is a game if it's fun.. anyone loves to play it.

It's sort of a metroid-vania style game with some really neat and often challenging gameplay with great atmosphere, and SUPER pretty art, but it ends too quickly and the story isn't terribly interesting.

I'd give it a 7/10 if i was rating it.

This just pointing out an idea that would be cool. Even if Riot pitches this idea for the next Gnar skin, we wont be seeing it for quite some time. By then, Zac may probably get a skin.

Thats not actually a beard. You have to remember that Bard made a body to project himself better in the needed dimension. Saying he is a male because of out perceptions of what a male should look like is false. He is a genderless being, beyond simple genders even.

Good game. got all achivements 3 hour completetion and no death run at exact same time on second playthrough. Get on mah level.

When I read a suggestion for an Elderwood Gnar I was really hoping to see some concept art for a little sapling Gnar that grew into an gnarled giant tree with the color theme of the Elderwood Bard. This is pretty cool however this doesn't really strike me as an Elderwood skin idea.
