Sorry for the wall of text, if anyone can help me with some concept art that would be SOO great. seeing as i suck at that. If you like the champ, leave a comment and upvote if you can :3 if you dont like the champ, leave a comment saying why. I didn't include most of the scaling because, let's be honest, no one but Rito can balance that and even they mess that up sometimes. anyway, let's get right into it.

                                                                                                                      **Delyora
                                                                                                       The Star-Heart Blacksmith**

Lore: Delyora Grew up in Targon as the son of two Military Officials In the great city of Targon. Because of this, he lived a very privileged life in his younger years. Attending numerous meetings and socializing with only the most seasoned warriors and military commanders the world had to offer. That is, however, until both of his parents were accused and found guilty of stealing large amounts of profit over the years from Targon’s armies, Outraged to learn of the council member’s treason, the people of Targon stormed Delyora’s home and murdered his parents whilst he watched from a crack in the closet door he was hiding in. With his parents dead and no one willing to take him in, young Delyora was placed in an orphanage where, upon learning who his parents where, he was constantly beaten and terrorized by both the young and old of the city.

It wasn't until seven years later, when Delyora was 16 years old, that an elderly man took him in to be his apprentice in the art of forging. Because of the years of trauma Delyora had endured, he did not trust the kindly stranger, fearing that he was merely tricking him into another beating as many had done before with false promises of companionship. But over time, as the old man protected him time and time again from those who meant him harm, Delyora finally began to warm up to the old fool. As the man taught him how to smith weapons in tools in his forge on the outer edge of the city, Delyora found that he was naturally talented at not only crafting weapons, but at fighting with them too. For hours upon hours each day he practiced with swords, hammers, and anything else he could find the time to create. He soon became one of the greatest weapon smiths and combatants in the city and yet, despite his gifts, no one besides the old man he came to see as his second father ever saw him for more than the son of two criminals. Crestfallen and distraught, Delyora forged a mask of gold and iron to hide his face, and left the city and headed into the mountains to build his own forge away from the ridicule of those who refused to see him as his own person, separate from the actions of his former parents.

Then, on the eve of the annual Star Light festival, an event that Delyora rarely went to for fear of being dragged into an alleyway to be beaten by yet another group of his adversaries, That a large, magnificent beast burst forth from the sky, cloaked in the raw beauty and fury of the cosmos, bending and shaping the heavens around him with the ease that only a master craftsman possesses. It was while watching the stars orbiting the dragon, feeling the searing heat as each one passed overhead, that Delyora had a revelation. He sprinted to the top of the nearest mountain and called to the great dragon saying, “ Great dragon! Hear me! I have seen no flame so pure or powerful than that you possesses, please give me a portion of your starfire to use in my forge.” At this, the God-like being bellowed and said, “A species as primitive as yours is incapable of handling my starfire. None but I can wield it.” But, still a young man, Delyora was stubborn and persistent. Insisting for days that the dragon share the flames with him.

Growing bored, and annoyed, the dragon called down one of the many stars that surrounded him and brought it down upon the mountain in which Delyora was standing, shattering it and nearly killing him in the process. Frustrated and feeling humiliated, Delyora went back to his forge, fuming at the selfishness of the beast. It was just as Delyora was getting ready to head into town for supplies for his forge that he was met with 8 of Targon’s armed guard and the 10 council members. Fearing that they had come to punish him for angering the deity, he mentally prepared himself to flee through a backdoor of his forge. But, rather than trying to arrest him, one of the council members stepped forward and assigned Delyora with the task of making a headpiece made of stargems for the Dragon. Infuriated by the request to honor the beast that had humiliated and nearly killed him, he attempted to strike the council member but was quickly restrained by two of the armed guard as the Council explained that, with the use of the Headpiece, the wished to not only command the dragon, but wipe his stars from the sky anytime he refused to comply with their instructions. Seeing this as the opportunity he had been waiting for, Delyora readily agreed to forge the crown so long as he be given the heart of every star that was destroyed. After a brief discussion, the council agreed to his wishes and provided him with the stargems he would need to create the headpiece.

Working with newfound purpose, Delyora slaved over the crafting of the headpiece for weeks on end, forging and shaping the stones in the way only a true master of the craft could accomplish. After he had finished this, his greatest work, he presented it to the council who then gave it to the dragon. The great beast, much to Delyora’s relief, accepted the gift. The moment he donned the crown, although he didn’t realize it at the time, Aurelion Sol was bound to the Council for which Delyora had made another 10 crowns of silver and starstone that allowed them to command the cosmic deity.

Over time, the dragon grew tired of the fledgling civilization and left Targon. And so, the council donned their headpieces and began to take command of the dragon. It was not long before Aurelion Sol rebelled against his newfound captors. And with his first outburst, fell the first star. Its heart falling to Targon below where it was retrieved and given to Delyora. Never before had he worked with such a violent beauty as starfire. It strengthened his blades so that the never dulled, although the flames nearly destroyed his forge every time he attempted to use them. Each star, he found, manifested itself in his creation with different properties that added their own personality to the already masterful creations. Some caused wounds inflicted by his weapons to weigh those he had struck down with starfire till their pace was little more than a shamble. Whilst other seared through armour and runes as though they were fresh linen. But perhaps the most significant change that went unnoticed happened in Delyora himself. As he worked with the stars, which were once a part of Aurelion Sol himself, he slowly absorbed some of the power contained in each one. Dramatically slowing his aging process as he gained more and more of the Dragons immortality. However, Delyora never noticed this. He was more keen to work in his forge with his newfound fire than to watch the change in the world around him. After all, the world had rebuked him and he could surely rebuke the world in return.

However, over time the steady supply of star hearts he had been receiving began to dwindle steadily until they ceased altogether. Running low on his supply, Delyora confronted the Council only to find that they were more content to fight and bicker amongst themselves than to control the dragon. Fearing that if he was not able to continue making great works for Targon, the people would revert back to the days of hatred towards him for the actions of his parents. He gathered up the remaining Stars Hearts he still had left and set out in pursuit of the dragon. If the council could not control Aurelion Sol, he would have to do it himself.

                                                                                                       ** Delyora’s Abilities**

**Depredating arc (Hammer) **

Delyora strikes the ground in front of him dealing physical damage in a cone (scaling a percentage of his AD) and applies a stack of starfire to all enemy units in the area leaving behind a patch of unstable starfire on the ground. After .75 seconds, the starfire erupts dealing magic damage (scaling with the number of stacks of starfire on those hit) to all units in the area.

If an enemy champion with 4 or more stacks of starfire is in the area when it erupts, Delyora gains a shield for a few seconds that scales with his max health and the number of stacks on the target with the highest amount of stacks in the zone.

Incising Strike (Sword)

Delyora strikes in a line in front of him dealing physical damage to all enemies hit. If a unit is hit and is inflicted with one or more starfire stacks, incising strike does a bonus percentage of the initial damage as magic damage scaling with the number of stacks of starfire on those struck.

If an enemy champion struck by incising strike is inflicted with 4 or more stacks of starfire, Delyora heals for a flat amount scaling with the number of stacks on the target and a percentage of his AP.

W- Celestial Flames Cooldown (approximate) 17/16/15/14/13

**Passive: Forged in Starfire- **

Delyora’s auto attacks inflict starfire on the target stacking up to six times. These stacks last for 4/4.5/5/5.5/6 seconds. This time is doubled if a unit is afflicted with max stacks of starfire.

Delyora’s active abilities against targets afflicted with one or more stacks of starfire consume all starfire stacks on the target.

After Starfire has been consumed on a target, it cannot be reapplied on that same target for 4/3/2/1/0 seconds.

Active- (Hammer) (Toggle on and Off)

Delyora surrounds himself with starfire, dealing magic damage scaling with his AP to all units in the area and applies one stack of starfire every 2/1.75/1.5/1.25/1 seconds.

If a Unit afflicted with 4 or more stacks of starfire is in the area when Celestial flames is toggled on or off, it is snared. (scales with the number of starfire stacks it was afflicted with, max of 1.5 seconds.)

**Active- (Sword) ** Delyora ignites target enemy champion or neutral monster afflicted with one or more stacks of starfire dealing a percentage of the targets current health plus a percentage of his AP as magic damage per stack of starfire over 5 seconds. (Max of 200-700 dmg against epic monsters)

E- Targon’s Might / Targon’s Reach Cooldown (approximate) 22/20/18/16/14

Targon’s Might (Hammer)

Delyora rushes forward to target location dealing physical damage in an area upon arriving, scaling with AD and a percentage of Delyora’s current health, to all targets hit.

If he hits an enemy champion afflicted with 4 or more stacks of Starfire, Delyora’s next attack does bonus true damage equal to .5% of the Delyora’s max health for each stack consumed. (For example if delyora hits 3 enemy champions each with 4 stacks inflicted on them, Delyora’s next attack will deal 6% of his max health as bonus true damage)

Targon's Reach (Sword)

Delyora lunges forward, damaging enemies in front of him. If Delyora hits an enemy champion, he briefly becomes untargetable as he dashes through them, dealing bonus damage based on the stacks of Starfire and continuing on a distance behind them based on their stacks of Starfire.

If Delyora consumes 4 or more stacks of Starfire from champions hit, he allows the consumed flames to dance upon his blade, causing his next two auto-attacks to deal bonus magic damage based on the amount of Starfire consumed. These attacks count as critical strikes.

R- Starheart Surge / Starheart Rage

Starheart Surge (Hammer) (Costs 100 mana at all ranks) Cooldown 130/110/90 seconds

**Passive- Weight of the Stars ** The slow applied to enemy units afflicted with Debilitating Starfire is double if they are afflicted with max stacks of starfire.

**Active ** Delyora Briefly focuses the energy of the Star Hearts into his hammer channeling for 1 second before knocking up all surrounding enemy units dealing a medium amount of magic damage scaling with his Max health and AP and applies 4/5/6 stacks of starfire to all units hit. If targets hit are already afflicted with max stacks of starfire, they are knocked towards Delyora instead.

Starheart Rage (Sword)

Passive- Unrelenting Fire:
If a nearby enemy champion is afflicted max stacks of starfire, Corrosive Starfire burns through double the armour and magic resist.

Active Delyora leaps to target enemy champion within 300/400/500 units. Impaling them with his blade dealing Heavy physical damage (scaling with AD and AP) and applies 4/5/6 stacks of starfire. If Starheart rage kills the target or the target has max stacks of starfire already applied to them, for the next 10 seconds, you can re-cast Starheart Rage on a different target. Has 2 less seconds to recast for each consecutive activation.

If Starheart rage kills a enemy champion or hits an enemy champion already applied with max stacks of starfire, Delyora’s blade bursts with energy, amplifying his next auto attack against an enemy champion making it inflict max stacks of starfire. Cannot apply stacks to the same target they were taken from.

a few quotes, courtesy of Billcurme (although i put in a few):

Selection: I could forge you a masterpiece, if you'd like. Ban: Nothing that hasn't happened to me before.

Killing an enemy: feels good to be on top for once. huh. this ended differently when i was younger. guess you weren't ready... Should've practiced more. maybe if you had had a proper weapon, things would've been different.

Taunts: a shoughty weapon makes a shoughty fighter. maybe if you had a good weapon you would stand a chance. oh well. you? beat me? with that? you can't be serious.

enemy gangplank: barrels.... you actually fight with barrels.

enemy jayce: that weapon is... it's a... i don't know what that is.

Tanting an enemy jax: your's and my definitions of a real weapon are vastly different.

taunting an enemy fiora: it's a toothpick.... i big metal toothpick...

Taunting an enemy Aurelion sol: you denied me once, i will not be denied again. your own selfishness forged your prison. i was merely the tool used to do so.

killing an enemy Aurelion Sol: seems fitting for you to end by your own flames. i actually admired you. till the whole trying to kill me bit happened. that did put a downer on things. you were a fool to have denied me. even gods can't always have a happy ending.

Buying an item: shabby, but useful i suppose. I could probably make something better... I could use the design... Mines better...

Joke near an ally Pantheon: Your shield is... nice. You want to fight with me? Really? :D

Attacking (sword): Pierced by Starlight My blades always make a clean cut. Don't worry, my blades are never dull. The cut will be clean.

Attacking (hammer): Crushed beneath one of my finest work. Know the weight of MY world. You're just a shoddy piece, waiting to be forged.

Joke near an Ally Jarven IV: The weapon is nice, but if you like, I can make one worthy of a king.

Taunt near an enemy Jarven IV: Who ever heard of an extending spear?

joke near ally poppy: (while on sword path) i should try that design sometime. could be better... oh, sorry, i was just admiring your weapon.

(while on hammer path) like two peas in a pod. i could make one better. if you want.

taunting an enemy riven: well, i suppose it WAS a nice blade.

when riven uses ult: (surprised/frightened) OH, OK, IT'S BIG NOW! speed forging, useful for a second. before you break it again.

Note: i designed this champion to have two separate kits with their own respective playstyles. the hammer path (that's what im calling it for now) is ment to be played as a tanky disruptor. going in first in a team fight and locking down multiple targets with CC to let his team come in and clean things up. The sword path is more of a single target duelist. you want to jump from one target to the next to get the job done. one thing at a time is the best choice of action if you choose the sword as your weapon of choice.

Special thanks to Billcurme who helped me redesign and give balance to the kits as well as revise the lore to make it more realistic. I couldn’t have done it without you man, thanks for everything.

Sounds neat how he can make his own weapons and such. But I can't help thinking that this kinda steps on poopy's tiny little toes.

I like it! It's definitely a unique concept, and I'm looking forward to seeing this concept further developed, also hope you can find an artist! If there's one idea or suggestion I could make, it's that maybe have him start with one Star Heart, and have him gain the second and third when he levels up his ult to level 1 and 2, just for balance reasons. Otherwise they look pretty cool, I esspecially like how in depth you went into the lore, keep up the good work!

Seems like this has developed quite well. It's nice to see this placed up in all its revised glory. I've read through again, and I haven't spotted anything new to jump out as needing work.

I've also heard from Cryptekz that you were thinking about working on quotes. Have you thought what kind of personality you want to give the character? That often helps a lot with starting the quote-writing process.

I look forward to seeing more developments. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this is shaping up to be a very nice champion concept!

Cheers,

My only beef is with the sword upgrade losing attack speed due to recurve bow

And the blade ult is kind of like hi there darius i can do that better

also

what about an axe or maybe a different weapon wall of text intensifies balancing intensifies

I know i know but just curious now as to what that would do ^^

I could help with the art. Tell me a few major points about his look, and I'll sketch a few photos which you can pick one and I'll finalize it with more detail, but please, give me credit. Deal? :)

Hello again, my friend! Billcurme here!

I was wondering if you had thought about entering Delyora here into the Comunity Concept Open Stage (CCOS)? If you're unfamiliar, it is a monthly contest which allows concept artists like yourself and myself to put our champion ideas to the test in a contest. Judges will evaluate your lore, kit, playstlye, fluidity, ect, and give you a review at the end that will summarise their thoughts and possibly help iron out some stray details. Winners of the contest even get featured in higher-end forms of community media. It's also free to enter.

It's completly up to you, but if you're interested, you can just follow the link here. Anyway, cheers my friend, and I hope to see more of your work in the future!

Cheers,

-Billcurme-
