Why skins more expensive?

Why is 1350rp the new norm for skins? I understand you guys are creating better skins, but goodness are you also trying to reap the wallets of the players? I remember when 975 was the norm and now it seems like every other 10th skin that comes out is 975 or sometimes 720. I love most of the skins you come out with, but do we really have to drop $10 (or more) for every skin you come out with? I am asking as a concerned impulse buyer and for all other impulse buyers out there.

The reason is due to customer demand for higher tier skins. Players frequently don't find it worth it to buy lower tier skins and generally don't buy them as much anymore according to Riot and have said that players would rather the skins that are unveiled be of a higher tier with more to them.

It makes sense. We can see that in the feedback around forums and in comment sections when a skin is revealed, that players describe a skin that they like as otherwise "disappointing" and want more particle changes and more animations for that concept.

The reason is because the casual audience is getting free skins, so the whales have to pick up the slack.

That, and like with all games, the player base has already peaked and is falling off.

The only way for Riot to reclaim the declining player base is to release LoL2, or a major update, or content pack.

Tbh a lot of 1350s could actually be 975s.

They say because that is how much work they put into it effects the prices.

I agree with this. All the skins in the new SSG set are so mediocre at best and none of them deserve to be 1350 RP.

Funny thing is, you saying you're an impulse buyer would probably make Riot less willing to make them cheaper.
