Why is URF or AURF the only game mode that gets brought back?

Does anyone else hate URF? Does anyone else wish the rotating game mode would actually be a rotating game mode? What the hell happened to Nexus Blitz, Ascension, All for One, Doom Bots, (paste other game type here). URF is filled with tryhards that watched a YouTuber play something broken on URF. It's not about having fun and experimenting with new champions anymore. The only way to play the game is to pick the busted champs that everyone else is playing or play something you think might be fun and get dumpstered the entire game. Atleast AURF allowed us to play against different champions.

Anyway my point is that URF is an overrated game type and I'm sure most of us would rather see one of the other game types brought back. Maybe allow URF to be playable in custom games.

Nexus blitz was awesome, if they do follow through with removing Twisted Treeline (RIP 3v3) I would like them to fill the empty spot with nexus blitz. It was a really fun mode where everyone was viable, and you could do crazy things, and then the special duels/events were interesting. But if they bring back a mode temporarily, I would like to get one for all. There are a lot of champions I'd like to try out when there are 4 more of them (imagine 5 kayle's)

My first thought is that other modes have a lot of separate assets and such that might need maintenance on an ongoing basis, while URF/ARURF are just stats that are (should be, anyway) easier to toggle on and off.

Remember not to forget, people playing URF are mostly not on the forums complaining about it, they are having fun enjoying it while its here, so you have an odd amount of URF hating people voting against it, because people are likely to participate in a poll if they are upset about it, vs those who are content and therefore don't care to involve themselves.

All for One was the most fun i've ever had in league in terms of game modes. It was just way too funny, i remember playing 5 Rengars vs 5 Khazixs and it was a blast, you had people building tank rengar and khazix, ap rengars, crit, basically everyone other than 2 or 3 players were with weird off meta builds and the fights were so fun with everyone invisible and jumping around. I honestly never liked urf that much as i liked the other gamemodes because its way to easy to just completely end the game, i only play URF when i want to run around as The Fast Jhin

It's because OF ALL THE ROTATING GAME MODES, (AR)URF were the only ones that pulled in recurring players, even after daily missions.

Meaning, without an incentive to play the RGM like mission rewards, players continued to play it until the event for it was over.

There's a Nexus Post for it somewhere. It was pretty recent too. Like August of this year.

I too grow tired of urf really quickly, but I still remember back when we had rotating game modes and Ascencion was forced every 2 weeks down our throat... yeah I'll take Urf over that any day, but I'll still prefer all for one or TT hexakill

I was never a fan of urf. It's a rl toxic mode that attracts really toxic people. Sadly it's the most popular one that's why it keeps coming back is love for ascension to come back and ofc one for all and even doom bots now in Halloween but riot doesn't care to bother on stuff that aren't making them money anymore

URF is infinitely better than ARURF. At least if I'm going to get dumpstered I can play a champ I enjoy instead of being forced to a champ that I don't like. Balance was no better in ARURF and was even more one sided, pretty much like ARAMs.

However they need to stop treating URF like the poster child. Ascension and Hexakill are so much more enjoyable and have so much more replay value.

I gotta say that they're probably trying to move people away from League and into their other games. TFT has been a blight on the game and has had way too much focus put into it. Since it's come out they've said they're going to remove Twisted Treeline, and blamed the community for not playing it, even though it's infested with bots and has barely had a balance change in the last 5 years. They let it stagnate into garbage and now they want to remove it because they're too lazy to bother with it. I have to imagine the same is happening with these other game modes.

They want to funnel people into TFT so they can shovel their Little Legends, they want to move people to their new Overwatch clone so they can have a whole new roster of champions to have to buy, and probably buy a few with real money since they're impatient. They want to shovel people into their new card game so that they can sell cards. Featured game modes don't have a way to be monetized unless they're lame minigames that are somehow attached to a new skin line. That's why we got Odyssey and whatever the Star Guardian mode was, and still haven't seen a return of the modes that people actually enjoy.

They don't care about anything but pushing purchases.

Maybe now that they've announced and revealed that they've had dedicated teams on three or four other different types of games, they can create a team completely dedicated to RGMs. Yes, they're supposedly difficult to code for and change with over 100 champions. I get that. But they've literally said that they're watching URF super close now to see if any champions need immediate hot fixes and that they've tweaked the code so it's super easy to fix at the drop of a hat.

Like... Why can they do that but then we can't get RGMs back? Hexakill is by far one of my favorite modes, but I doubt that one will ever come back now with TT being retired (again--another game mode pushed to the side for these other games). But One For All is amazing, Nexus Blitz is okay, Doom Bots was super fun, and I'm sure I'm one of the small majority that truly enjoyed the one time that Nemesis was around. Ascension is probably my least favorite of the RGMs, but even that would be a welcome change for just even a week.

I'm not a fan of the themed RGMs like Project or Star Guardian or Blood Moon. They're nothing more than gimmicks and I get super bored with them after a few days. It doesn't feel like a lot of planning goes into the Event Game Modes.

Nexus blitz was the only mode I felt comfortable playing certain champions. I can't jungle well in SR and it really sucks to have many options unavailable for it. However, the co-op jungling and versatility of playstyles in Blitz was just incredible. It 100% becomes my preferred mode when available, but it seems like they permanently axed it so they could focus on TFT. :(

I hate urf but i use to to get the Crying surrender at 15 nubs out of my ranked games. Ranked game quality shoot way up when urf is on and i used the second urf to climb out of bronze into an elo with much less skill than bronze but apparently people luck their way into being higher and surrender but some how get the enemy to surrender more which is how they climb
