Yuan, The Cultist
The idea of this champion was to follow a certain criteria: 1: Create an assassin who's kit encourages building critical strike over lethality/armor penetration 2: Make a unique champion without overloading his kit 3: Create a truly skill-intensive champion that can die and become behind just as easily as he can snowball 4: Create an assassin for the Freljord (from my knowledge, one does not exist) 5: Explore with resourceless champions Appearance: Blue and dark green rags, with a long shard of true ice as a weapon. He holds the weapon with his left hand, and so his left hand is have frostbitten, looking dead in appearance. has wings and hovers/flies when he gets a burst in movement speed.
Passive: Xehara's stats change based on enemy champions visible near Xehara. 1: N/A 2: + 5 AD, -2 MR/Armor 3: + 10 AD, -4 MR/Armor 4: + 17 AD, -6 MR/Armor 5: + 30 AD, -10 MR/Armor, 10% critical strike chance and damage (They don't stack with each other obviously)
Q: True Ice Shard-----------Cooldown:10/9/8/7/6 seconds-----------Mana: None-----------Range: 450-----------Channel time: None Throws true ice at the target, and lands on the ground. If he picks it up within 2 seconds, he restores 50/70/90/110/130 HP. If it hits a champion, his next auto within the next minute will gain 20% critical strike damage and has an extra 5% critical strike chance. This can stack indefinately. For example, he can poke with his Q repeatedly, and each time he hits a champion, his auto to a champion will do 20% more dmg if it crits, with an extra 5% critical strike chance. But if he doesn't auto attack a champion, and he uses Q again to a champion, this effect will lasts for his next two auto attacks, then three, then four, and so on and so forth.
W: Hexproof-----------Cooldown: 15 seconds-----------Mana: None-----------Range: 600-----------Channel time: 0.75 seconds. Passive: His first auto attack to champions, minions, or monsters deals 10 extra true damage. Active: After channeling for 0.75 seconds, blink to a target location. can jump over walls. He leaves a mark where he blinked from. If anybody walks within 300 units of the location he blinked from, they become nearsighted and feared for 1 second. He can use this for escapes, and if somebody tries to use the same path or hop the same wall to follow him, they will become nearsighted and feared for 1 second. This has two uses: 1) gives a wider escape window for Xehara, or 2) opens a re-engage opportunity for Xehara.
E: True Ice Chains-----------Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 seconds-----------Mana: None-----------Range: 350-----------Channel Time: 0.5 Seconds attaches a chain between two walls. Lasts 30/45/60/75/90 seconds. Any enemy who passes through the chain will be revealed for 3 seconds. Xehara deals an extra 2% true damage to that target, and gains 4% movement speed torwards them while they are revealed, doubled if they are within 800 units of Xehara. Maximum two chains. This is an amazing ability to find people to assassinate. This is also an amazing ability to track where the enemy jungler is going, guard objectives, or guard your own jungle.
R: Ice Lock-----------Cooldown: 140/130/120 seconds-----------Mana: None-----------Range:1000-----------Channel time: N/A Passive: Every champion takedown permanently increases his critical strike damage by 5%. Active: Xehara locks every chain with true ice, freezing them and making them terrain, only passable through blinks or leaps (dashes won't work). If somebody escapes one, it breaks and they take 10% of their maximum health in true damage over 3 seconds, and slows them by 15%. Additionally, Xehara gains 30/35/40% movement speed within 1000 units of the enemy when walking towards them. This is what makes Xehara a skill intensive champion. This could be a useless ability when not set up properly, or when in the jungle, can be set up perfectly to not allow an escape for a champion, and thus force a duel. Because of the high risk high reward of this ability, I put it on a relatively high cooldown.
Gameplay: Xehara is designed to prioritize building crit items over lethality or armor penetration. While his kit is very powerful in the right hands, he requires strong mechanics. Armor, defensive items, and tanks in general are especially strong because of his lack of armor penetration or lethality, and this was intentional.
Much like champions like Katarina
and Talon
, he has two non-item powerspikes: A smaller one at level 6 of course, but his biggest powerspike (and best opportunity to roam) is level 3.
To be honest I would love if a rioter gave me his opinion on this champion. Yes, I know that they would not put any champion i create into the game, but it would be cool to see some feedback from them.
PS: What lane should he go in? He could be a great aggressive jungler that would very much thrive in the scuttler meta, but could also be viable top/mid, especially with his level three roams.
in terms of annoyance and where he's played. I don't see him being as useful in jungle as in mid lane or even top lane. Plus, with the amount of stacking critical he gains from simply killing champions (and not unique take downs either) makes me not want to even build crit because he will already have enough if I just build lethality and get fed.
