Galvator - The Gods' Ire (Demonic God champion concept)
So I thought for a long time: "how would a demonic god champion work and look?" Now of course we do have some examples such as Aatrox, but he is a darkin, which is a god warrior who has been scarred by the void. Galvator, is different, he is supposed to be demonic and cruel in nature, fitting for the god of Death and Destruction. There is a lot to go over to discuss about this champion concept...
The Making: To be demonic, I started off with a man, then made him look demonic and fiery. https://forum.becomealivinggod.com/uploads/db2684/original/3X/b/8/b8803721ebffb365dd4ab46e142f5eef9ff929a9.jpg But then... he still looked too humanlike, I wanted him to feel like he rejects humanity... then I came out with an idea based off of this. https://miro.medium.com/max/3020/1*xmLM9obnCcBGQhPF4YW6iw.jpeg However, he to me then looked more like a demon, not a god, so then I thought about it, with his appearance being humanoid, but also sort of monstrous. It kind of now I picture it like Demise from Legend of Zelda https://kathrynplays.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/link-vs-demise.jpg So, design down, then what. Every aspect of targon seemed to have a weapon of some kind. Taric had a mace, Pantheon had a spear and shield, Leona had a Sword and Shield, etc. I wanted Galvator to be different, so unlike the rest of targon's aspects, I decided to give him a Trident, and more importantly a Ring of some design, which will be tied to his lore. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/rK0AAOSwQupXXol5/s-l400.jpg
Lore: "Born when the breath of runeterra first spread, Galvator was hidden underneath the land, sleeping before even existence was acknowledged, he was always there, resting. However, the gods created mount Targon, twisting the land upward into the sky, and removing the Ire God from his tomb. First it was a spark, then a massive cloud of flames engulfed the skies above, as the First Demon meeted the gods. The gods stated that they have no quarrel towards the malevolent being, but the flames of ire grew hotter still, as shadowy black flames grew brighter than the sun. The God of the Moon, swarmed a wave of ancient energy, to cleanse the Demonic Diety's power, suppressing him. As the demon calmed, the gods gave him a favor, to help them shape the world of Runeterra. The gods, created things, such as land and life. Galvator, the demon, was different. He unmaked things. He tore down mountains, boiled rivers, and has given mortal life of Targon the embrace of death. As the other gods created life, Galvator, was who destroys it in a never-ending cycle. Despite the cruel behavior of Galvator toward mortal life, the gods accepted, they thought that Galvator was there for a reason, a purpose, the one who brings challenge to the living. As a favor for his efforts, the gods rebuilt his tomb, but they couldn't place it back under Targon, therefore, they placed it on another landmass that faces toward the mountain. Even though it wasn't as thought he anticipated, the Demon was pleased, and slept again for millenia. After countless years, the great Void War, an unintended calamity, even for the gods, occurred. God Warriors fell into collapse, warring against one another, becoming the Darkin. They were sealed away, but now the darkin return, undying, waiting to break free from their prisons. After eons of inactivity, Galvator awakens, being the first god himself, to set foot on runeterra's soil, to cleanse the darkin, and the calamity that caused them to be what they are now."
Bio: "The First Demons" I knew, this wasn't a good idea. By gods, why our mortal minds make us choose these things, forbid them. As we near another town in Demacia's territory, as a travelling group, our friend was greatly inclined to our work, studying local wildlife, terrain, you could say he is quite the scholar. Yet, he met his end... an unlikely end. I can remember the sounds in my memory... "Iklosh, where are you?" "Don't bother, I am alright, better than alright, just buy a room for the ni-" Agonizing screams were heard, as we heard the sound of blades piercing flesh, we got the workers to break open the locked door, what we see what him, lying on the ground, his whole chest... teared a giant hole through it, you could see the floor through his back. Behind him, was a woman, a stunningly one in fact, a second after I blinked... Her skin was violet, pale, as shadows took the form of wicked tendrils soaked in blood. "He got what he desired, and so did I." Said the demon. "You will pay for that! I swear to it!" I said, confident of myself, yet I have never encountered such a being, ever in my life. "I wouldn't try your luck honey." Giggled the demon, as she jumped through a window, but didn't shatter it, we opened it to look where she went, but she was gone, without a trace, so fast that she didn't leave a drop of blood, dripping from the bladed appendages. But now, that is past, I must accept what I witnessed, what happened to one of my comrades, and now I journey far to a southern area near Demacia. The fog was thick, but yet we found it, an ancient ruin. As we entered, we found bones of human beings, broken, rib cages torn, skulls shatterd... most likely the demoness did it, or possibly something else far more cruel. We went deeper, and finally, we found a structure of unknown rock. It was shaped like a beast, as heads of crying humans were carved into the wall as if they feared the massive structure. The giant monstrous stone head, had what seemed to be a mirror inside, but it was dark, made of black crystal. My caravan unpacked material that we kept for this event only. We placed out a vial of our friend's blood, still left after the attack, even thought it's dry it should work. Next, a scale of an infernal drake, we were lucky to find one off the ground, and not one that we would be so unlucky to come across face to face. Finally, a piece of petricite in case anything in this ritual goes wrong. It is against Demacia's code to perform these enchanted rituals... but if it is for answers, so be it. The circle of the dried blood was set, the scale placed in the center, and lit a match. Even if it was dry, the dried blood somehow set aflame immediately, the flames seemed too strong for it to be natural. Once the flames died, the room was dark, then a fiery, infernal light came from the black glass in the mouth of the statue. I saw a man, massive, almost monstrous, with grey skin with his veins pulsing a shadowy color. His glowing eyes opened and he spoke. "Who dare'th seek audience with me." He spoke, with a deep, demonic, echoing voice. "What are you, the tavern's-keep told us about this shady ritual for answers-" "Silence!" The demon howled. "I am aware fully now... the demon has vanquished your ally." "How do you know such?" I said, starting to be fuming with rage. "You knew and did nothing!" "It is such as the way the world works... Every mortal has a folly, the demons seek it, take advantage of it, and make proper use of it." The demon spoke back. "There was no fault with him! He was always intelligent, scholarly and-" I was cut off when the demon responded near quickly. "He died to the demon. That itself is proof enough of his fault." The demon spoke, even though calmly, I can feel his rage. Right there, I thought more into it, was the reason because he died, because he was too much of a lover? I then spoke, "You call this natural? He died, because of her, because of you!" I yelled as fury engulfed me. And then I froze... as the Demon walked forward... as it seems, he wasn't behind the glass at all, he was standing before me, the whole time. "Every essence and existence of demons are my making, before you were born, before civilization was made. They are to discard the weak. Those who are stronger, live longer." The demon spoke, towering over me. Then he spoke again, "I already see your fault, mortal, and it has consumed you so." The last words I heard him say, were these, dreadful words... "I apologize, but you must die here." In an instant, a shadow took form, with two eldritch armblades extending from its forearms. It glided toward me, attempting to tear me apart, impale me, whatever means necessary it takes to kill me. However, one member of my caravan jumped out, tackled the demon, but unfortunately took a fatal blow through the chest. We then make a break for it to escape. The caves when exitting, felt infinite, like he was tricking us, that he was behind us. I saw my caravan, die one by one to this shadow, this nightmare. After a long, godforbidden escape, I reached outside, the fog was gone, but my caravan, gone, all dead. After gaining my breath, I heard a voice looming over me. "You are a coward, you're afraid... Now, you must live with it, alone, until your inevitable end."
Design: As mentioned above, Galvator is a tall, bulky, humanoid, demonic god with black flames as hair. As a demon, he bears claws and scales of dragons, the world-crossing body of a demon, and the power and wraith of a god. His face is... pretty much what you would expect from the demise picture, wrinkled, ogre-like, with glowing red eyes. Then there is his weapons, a black Trident made of pure hardened magma, and a ring, forged by the gods, for him to harness magic to his use.
Kit: Despite him being a bruiser, he is going to have an ultimate that bruiser's wouldn't normally have, mostly a mage would, but that gives him complexion to his use of demonic magic. Mostly, he is a physical attacker otherwise.
Damage: AD Role: Bruiser Lane: Top
Passive - The Fell God's Ire Galvator has two different auto attacks that occur one after the other. The first is a thrust from his Trident, which has enhanced range, while applying grievous wounds to the enemy struck while dealing 2-10% of the enemy's maximum health as bonus damage. The second attack make him swing his trident in a cone range, having a cleave effect, dealing damage to all enemies in a semicircle range, while reducing their armor by 15% and healing Galvator by a fixed amount for each enemy champion struck, minions heal him for only 15% of the original amount.
Q - Gods' Lament Galvator leaps in the air and onto the ground, damaging all opponents in the crash zone. Enemies hit are knocked up and slowed, taking damage. Damage and knockup duration is increased in the center of the ability, reduced in the outer zones. Galvator gains a shield for a fixed amount when he lands.
W - Life-Tearer Galvator shines his ring at a target location, dealing no damage to minions or monsters. If the demonic energy hits a champion, he pulls their soul out of their body for 6 seconds. The enemy champion then changes into control of their soul, and can still use their abilities, but their damage is reduced and take increased damage from Galvator based on maximum health. The enemy champion's actual body will be untargettable for the duration, so they can't technically die from this ability. If the enemy champion's soul reaches a damage threshold, their soul is sent back to their body which the enemy champion resumes the fight in their actual body, but with the health their soul was left with, but cleanses burn, poison or ignite effects to prevent it from being unfair. However, killing an enemy champion while they are in soul form leaves them at 1 hp when they return to their body.
E - Demonic Intent Galvator punches with demonic flames in a short ranged skillshot, the first enemy champion hit takes true damage based off their max health while healing Galvator for 30-50% of damage dealt with this ability.
R - Garnet of The Demon https://steemitimages.com/640x0/http://13.124.16.246:8000/media/PicsArt_09-01-01.24.31-01.jpeg Galvator tears out the blood red crystal in his ring, making it glow intensely with demonic energy for 3 seconds to channel it, then drops it as it slowly falls down for 4 seconds. Once it hits the ground, it creates a massive explosion, dealing damage based off 200-300/400/500% of his total attack damage (based on how close enemy champions are to the center) while adding a burn effect over 6 seconds. HOWEVER, the attack can be blocked by terrain of any sort, such as walls, towers, inhibitors, the nexus, and champion created terrain. The ability can be interrupted while he is channeling with a silence, but if he drops it, there is no going back. (Neat aesthetic effect to his ulti, Galvator's theme song plays while he is charging up the crystal from his ring, and then then ALL SOUND of the game goes silent as the red glowing crystal slowly drops to the ground, all except for a slight, ringing sound made by the ultimate. After it hits the ground it makes an explosion, resuming the in-game sounds to normal settings that you have them.)
