Place of Origin (Reincarnation): Kalamanda

Current Residence: Unkown.

Raz is an outcast. Currently living for his second time on Runeterra, Raz was reincarnated without parents or memories of his former life. Now he searches for the force that forged him anew, with a single purpose: to find answers. Faster then the wind or any bird in the sky, Raz takes his place as a skirmisher in the fields of Justice.

Raz is a mobile bruiser with decent sustain and consistent damage. Additionally, Raz lacks poke and relies on mana. Without Skygrey feathers, his mana costs can be high and his ultimate can guzzle down mana fast. His life in Runeterra reflects his gameplay, working best alone as a duelist on the battle field. He is more simple then most new champions, taking a step away from toxic behavior and crazy effects.

Passive: Urgent Flight: For every ability on cooldown, Raz gains movement speed.

Additionally, Raz passively gains Skygrey Feathers while out of combat. Casting an ability while at least one Skygrey Feather is active will cause the ability to deal bonus physical damage equal to 30/70/100 +(25% of bonus AD). He can have up to 4/5/6 Skygrey Feather also replace the mana cost for the ability.

Q: Instant Step: Raz takes a fast jump towards a target direction, dealing damage along the way. If he hits a wall, he jumps off it.

W: High Sky Triple Strike: Raz slams his staff down, dealing physical damage and slowing. If he hits an enemy he can reactivate again to repeat the effect, swiping with his staff up. If he hits an enemy a second time, he can reactivate to swipe a final time in a thinner cone deal 50% more damage and stun the enemy.

E: Traveler's Rations: Raz heals for 4 seconds based on his missing health. He also switches stance:

Vindictive Stance: Raz steals 2/3/4/5/6 armor from enemies he damages with basic attacks for 4 seconds stacking up to 14/21/28/35/42 armor stolen. Additionally Instant Step will grant Raz a shield for 4 seconds.

Intrepidity Stance: Raz deals 1/1.4/1.8/2.2/2.4% + (1% per bonus 50 AD) of the targets missing health every auto attack. Also, Instant Step will apply onhit effects, including Intrepidity's bonus on hit effect.

R: :Thousand Step Journey: Passively, every other auto attack against champions will give Raz another Travel Charge.

Gameplay:

Raz releases his wings from under his cloak, gaining an immunity to slows and removing the movement restriction while attacking. This effect drains mana every second. While this ability is active and draining mana Raz gains the benefit of his passive as if this ability were on cooldown.

12 Second Cooldown.

Quotes:

Raz is laidback and calm, however he sounds solemn.

Selection Quote: Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.

Upon Leaving Base: A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.

Upon Killing An Enemy Champion: Travel makes a wise man better, and a fool worse.

Taunt: Too often, I would hear men boast of the miles covered that day, rarely of what they had seen.

Taunt 2: To find somewhere new, you must be brave enough to lose sight of shore. You are not.

Upon Placing a Ward: A traveler without observation is a bird without wings

While issuing movement command: Adventure is worthwhile.

Joke: why can't orphans play baseball? They don't know where home is.... too dark?

Joke 2: I still _ haven't found that second sock!_

allow me to weigh in on this kit. here's my cancerous idea for it. I drew inspiration from most of league of legend's most beloved champions, but especially yasuo, riven, fiora, and lucian. : )

Passive: Feather Gift Raz gains a Skygrey Feather once every 10.5/9/7.5/6 seconds (at levels 1/5/9/13), and additionally every time he kills a monster or damages an enemy champion (1.5 second cooldown per target), storing up to six charges at once. These feathers are displayed beneath Raz's health bar. Casting abilities expends Skygrey Feathers, up to two per cast, to provide Raz a buff. if at least once feather is expended, Raz gains a quickly decaying burst of speed upon cast which disappears over 1.5 seconds or once he completes an auto attack. If two are expended, Raz's attack timer is reset and his next auto attack within 3 seconds becomes ranged and deals 25/30/35/40% additional total damage (damage can crit).

Q: Traveler's Staff | 12/11/10/9/8 second cooldown Raz designates a direction and then strikes outward with his staff after a .5 second delay, dealing 40/60/80/100/120 +1.0 AD physical damage and slowing in an arc in front of him. Raz can move freely during the delay, but not attack. If the strike hits an enemy champion or large monster, Raz can reactivate the ability within 4 seconds to strike upward with the staff, dealing damage again, slowing, and knocking back a short distance. if this strike also hits a champion or large monster, Raz can reactivate the ability a final time to deliver a devastating overhand strike with the staff, which is guaranteed to critically strike for 140/155/170/185/200% damage and stuns all enemies hit for 2 seconds. Raz has 8 seconds total to use all three strikes. 1 second internal cooldown between casts. Each activation counts as an ability cast. Cooldown begins ticking after the final cast. If a strike lands on an enemy champion, the ability's cooldown will be reduced by two seconds, per cast. the ability functions similarly to darius's decimate in that it highlights its area of effect and there is a short delay before it strikes where you can move around and reposition (or juke) the ability; however, the delay is shorter on Traveler's staff. direction of aoe is locked in on cast (think taric's dazzle). arc for each activation is different: first cast: short, wide arc from left of model second cast: short, wide arc from right of model third cast: longer, thinner line from front of model

W: Forward Stride/Urgent Flight | 24/22/20/18/16 second cooldown After a steadying moment, Raz leaps briskly a short distance toward the cursor's location, becoming very briefly invulnerable and CC-immune as he moves and popping projectiles he passes through. If Raz passes through an enemy champion, the ability can be recast a single time after 1.5 seconds with the second cast gaining 20% range, leaping without delay, and functioning as a normal dash without invulnerability or projectile destruction. if either activation is cast with at least one feather, the corresponding leap's range is increased by an additional 20%.

E: Fortitude/Audacity | 20/18/16/14/12 second cooldown first cast: drawing on a lifetime of wandering and weathering, Raz braces himself for the incoming storm. For a brief time, he becomes significantly self-slowed but ignores enemy slows and displacement effects, and gains a significant AD scaling shield. ability - including the shield - ends early if Raz casts another ability or auto attacks an enemy. If cast with at least one feather, the ability only slows by 10%. after two seconds, within a subsequent two second window, Raz can reactivate this ability to cast Intrepidity. If he chooses not to, this ability's cooldown is reduced by 4 seconds. Second cast: Raz approaches his newest challenge with renewed vigor - he gains a large burst of attack speed for his next four attacks within 2.5 seconds. if this cast expends two feathers, all four of the attacks gain his passive's bonus range and damage.

R: Skygrey Cloak | 120/90/60 second cooldown Raz unfurls his wings from beneath his cloak and takes flight for 8 seconds, refreshing the cooldown on his W and causing all his attacks within this time to gain his passive's bonus range (but not the damage). During this time, all abilities act as if he expended a feather to use them, E cooldown resets on kill, and the cost for full bonus effects is reduced to one feather from two for all abilities.

The theme for this champion is pitch perfect. The selection quote and lore (especially that selection quote) really make me want to learn more about him, and his personality would seem very laid-back. (One of my personal reasons for finding a champion interesting is because I can consider how they would interact with other champions. Imagine if he met Yasuo or Kayle.)

The overall concept for his kit is excellent (and matches his theme). His ultimate sounds especially cool.

Does he have normal mana, or is he resource-less? (I ask because the "Travel Charges" aren't very clear) Does the [Q] deal damage? It probably should with how little damage is in his kit. I think you meant "second time". Staff down > Staff up > ? > Stun I'm assuming [E] has a cast time regardless, but is it channeled the whole time? That AD ratio is a little much. (I think you also messed up on the scaling).

Here's the artist for those who want to know.

Ars Techne9/5/2016, 5:07:02 AM1 votes

I like the idea, but his kit is very over powered and over loaded.

Think of one combo starting in Vin stance W > W > W > auto > auto > E > Q > Q Total: 5 abilities worth of damage A stun 12 armor stolen health regenerated probably 15%+ missing hp done (after 3 of the ability hits and 2 autos (and 3 feather procs totaling over 600 damage if full ad alone)

  • this %hp damage dealing an estimated 200-300 itself (low ball) and 0 mana cost

All without his ult

That's pretty intense, even for a tank to face. I like the idea, but he would break the game in his current form. (100% pick or ban, if he isnt on your team you lose) Saving vote judgement for future rework
