Karadin abilities!

Well, here's some options to abilities for Kadarin (I just have a set of 4.5 possible abilities) I got this idea (of course) from Jeremy "Gaming Curios". This is my first post here and I'm just kinda testing the waters...

For the people that don't want to read word barf, here's a general summary

P- abilities grant heat, basic attacks help expel heat. When max heat is reached, Karadin gains attack speed but is slowed, and abilities grant ADDED EFFECTS. Q- sword swipe that exposes weaknesses, empowers his basic attacks based on the % health missing from enemy champs ADDED EFFECT slows units hit W- really mini Jhin ult with 3 rapid shots ADDED EFFECT additional damage E-life support suit grants damage reduction on next 2 abilities/attacks ADDED EFFECT reduction from 3 hits at increased amount of reduction. R- creates a grounding field centered around him, grants tons of heat optional R- creates a gate only he can pass through ADDED EFFECT can go through gates with a shorter Cooldown.

My numbers I provide are all hypothetical, and definitely need to be tempered with P- Abilities grant heat, when heat maxes, he slows himself by ~40%, but has increased attack speed. When at max heat, he gains 50/60/70/80/90 attack speed (based on your level) (can go through cap). Basic attacks help take away from his heat faster. When cooling down, using abilities do not affect the meter but have additional effects. Basic attacks when cooling down drain 6 heat and loses 8 heat every .5 seconds. If he hasn’t used an ability within 10(-1 second for each basic attack) seconds when in the gaining heat phase the basic attacks then drain 7 heat per attack and loses 35 heat per .5 seconds. The heat system gets more manageable over time, creating a quicker heat gain and loss later in the game.

Q- A sword swipe that marks champions and can detect more weaknesses the lower the affected champ’s hp is. Increases his basic attack damage with how % low the enemies health is (+10% ad per 10% health missing (Grants this effect to each champ individually)), duration 4 seconds. Length of sword increases with how much heat he has at that time (goes from 50 units smaller than Panth e (same arc) to the radius of a trundle w (same arc as panth e). Cooling down bonus:a 1030% slow, scales with rank. This slow can stack with Kadarins ult. Damage 2060 based on rank(+75% ad)(+35% ap) attack damage Cost 1811 heat per champ hit (if no units are hit, gains 8 heat) Cooldown 14~9 seconds based on rank

W- Lucian ult like bolts (about the same range) shot one by one in a narrow cone (think a bit narrower than graves q, just longer range) You can designate when and where by pressing the ability again, you have a window of .75 seconds in order to use all 3 shots. Bullets stop at first enemy unit hit. You cannot move when using this ability. If all 3 bullets hit a single enemy, the third bullet deals 15% more damage. Cooling Down Bonus: Deals 40% more damage. Damage 2070 damage (85% ad)(70% ap) magic damage Cost: each shot gives 6 heat Cooldown 126 seconds

E- His life support suit channels energy enveloping him in a green glow, granting him 40~60%(scales with ability rank) damage reduction from the next two incoming champion basic attacks or abilities, has a window of 1.7 seconds. Getting hit by an ability raises additional heat. (kinda like a cool sivir e). Cooling Down Bonus: grants him an additional 20% damage reduction and is shielded from a total of 3 abilities/attacks. Damage- none Cost- 10, then additional hits grant 15 heat each Cooldown- 1710 seconds

R- (was originally going to be e but then seemed really op the more I thought about it) Gravity- Kadarin sends his shield in the air and creates an area of effect (area of Trundle w centered on Kadarin) that grounds all opponents and slows by 10/15/20%. This slow can stack onto Kadarins Q. Damage- none Cost- 60 heat Cooldown- 100/90/80

Other possible (probably far off) R idea... R- places a box that self assembles a gateway to another place on the map. Then box takes 15/10/5 seconds to assemble. When he passes through, his life support suit buffs his armor and mr by 10/18/24 for 15 seconds and heals 10/17/25% of his health over the 15 second period. Using gateway has a cooldown of 50 seconds, 30 if he goes the opposite direction from the last time he used it, using ult to re-place a gateway refreshes the 'going through the gate' time. Gates can be placed ~1500 units away from each other. The enemy team can't see the gate unless it is in vision when Kadarin uses it. Gates have 6 health. Cooling down effect: can go through gateway at a reduced cooldown of 15/10/5 seconds Cost- none Damage- none Cooldown- 100/90/80 seconds

I still envisioned him with a sword and shield because he grew up a gladiator, and having them tricked out is what Zaun is all about ;D So the sword goes with the q, and the shield goes with the ulti, then you can’t forget his life support suit, giving him his e, then his gun giving him aa and his w, creating a well rounded character.

So his gameplay would be a safe laner with poke, much like Sivir. He has higher cooldowns, but a lot of potential when he makes the right choices, especially with positioning and every calculated aa. He is a half assassin (kinda like Vayne), but also has a gladiator outlook as well though he has to resort to this heat system from Zaun… My favorite part is his ulti that literally creates an arena-esque area where you have to stay and fight. It’s extremely powerful when paired up with its high heat cost, making Kadarin almost a turret that you can’t blink or move away from. Its great to use in teamfights and 1v1 situations, but can be lethal (and probably dumb) if you use it for an escape. I like the leeway the w gives, its almost like a Xerath/Jhin/Lucian ult had a baby (how I imagine it), but on a mini scale. And his e gives him a bit of safety when trading with other champs, making a decent 1v1 champ. The decisions that this champ makes are crucial in order to get the kill, and I feel like this set of abilities really group together well. He also needs to be a bit beefier if he wants to pick a fight with the whole team and ult in the middle of the team, so that’s why the e exists. His kiting isn’t the best, but has the best time with a support that can help with movement and also cc, confining him pretty much to bot lane.

I feel like adcs nowadays can get away with the mana and regen they have (other than ez and urgot being the main two...) and stay in the fray for quite a while. So having a manaless adc should work out I feel... plus I feel like this really needs to happen because it’s so cool and it’s for a good cause as well. :J well, Hope you liked it! (p.s.
