Updating Shen to fit S5
I'll be short about it, Shen is known for global pressure, unfortunately nowadays it's just his ult that can cause a problem for the enemy, he can't split push at all, his late game is poop and he loses lane all the time now.

I can win lane as shen all the time. i fyou cant win with him thats just you being a scrub. his kit is fine with a balance of defense and burst

Shen could use a bit more utility such as giving his W CC removal/immunity for the duration of the shield and having it scale with 60% AP +1% Bonus Hp since shen players rarely build ap, and adding 5 base magic damage at all lvls of his Q respectively 65/105/145/185/225 while increasing it's AP scale by 5%, making it 65% is a small change that can significantly increase his laning phase and by reducing his energy cost on E by 5per level 120/115/110/105/100. This will make shen a shoe in for season 5.
