Personally I would get annoyed because a staff is used for blunt damage- not cutting like a sword or lightsaber. That's just me though.
I want to see a jedi Jax skin where he holds a lightsaber by the blade and bludgeons people to death with the saber's hilt!
Chosen Master Yi is not a Jedi, but Riot's attempt at portraying one and dancing around the edges of it. His saber alternates colors between Red/Green/Blue (sabers don't do this in SW universe). This also probably helps with avoiding any license attack from Disney, which would get the skin pulled in a blink. Riot probably can't make a lightsaber/laser sword with only one color and have it look like a SW lightsaber without their (Disney's) permission.

Smite's Sun Wukong already has this skin, and it's oddly similar to Forsaken Jayce (which also already exists and fills what you're asking for).
I don't think they would do it, because there is already a version of a sith wukong in the game "Smite" and I think riot's priority nowadays is "unique-ness"

As cool as it looks, I'm kind of hoping his next skin is a 1820 RP skin so he can have unique quotes and will guarantee a new taunt, dance, joke and recall.
Hate to burst the bubbles of people calling for Sith Lord Kassadin (which I totally think would look amazing btw), but he would basically look just like Alarak from HoTS.
