Champion Idea: Herdases, the Skullchiller
Theme: Herdases is a dark, heavily armored fighter with cold-themed abilities. He uses powerful and slow attacks and applies lots of CC. He plays like a juggernaut, but slightly squishier. His defensive ability lies in applying hard cc to any in front of him to make sure that they deal as little damage as possible.
Abilities: (Passive): Frostmarrow: When Herdases is struck by an enemy champion, he gains 10% bonus armor and magic resist for 4 seconds. After 4 seconds, Herdases' next ability will deal 15/30/45/60/75 bonus damage and slow by 20% for 1.5 seconds.
(Q): Crystal Edge: Herdases' next attack deals 150/160/170/180/190% increased damage (+15% per 100 total AD). If the target is a champion, Herdases gains Ice Floes for 6 seconds, increasing his attack range by 100. Cost: 35/40/45/50/55 Mana Cooldown: 15/13.5/11/9.5/8s
(W): Icebound: Herdases frees himself of movement impairing abilities and gains 35/45/55/65/75 AD for 4 seconds. During this time he applies a 20% slow to units near him. Cost: 55/60/65/70/75 Mana Cooldown: 23/20/17/14/11s
(E): Captive of Cold: Target takes 70 (+80% bonus AP) damage and is slowed for 1.0/1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8 seconds. If the target is slowed, they are stunned for 1.5 seconds and this ability deals 50% more damage. Cost: 65 Mana Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7s
(R): **Frozen Harvest:**Herdases' next 3/4/5 attacks apply a 1/1.5/2 second stun to targets in front of him. Targets struck are marked with Harvested for 3 seconds and take 15% bonus Damage from Herdases, but cannot be stunned again. If 3 enemy champions are marked with Harvested, Herdases gains immunity to CC for 2 seconds. Cost: 100 Mana Cooldown: 120/100/80s
Play Style:
Herdases is a slow juggernaut with long cooldowns and little mobility. He makes up for this with both high scaling and base damage and plenty of CC to make sure that he can deal his damage. He is played in the top lane where he has opponents that are forced to get close to him. His Crystal Edge makes trading usually end in his favor, and enemies who get to close will find themselves stunned and hurting through the combined efforts of his Icy Tomb and Captive of Cold. He synergizes well with items that let him stick to his target such as
and
, but due to his need to stay in a fight to get the most out of Frozen Harvest by being tanky and high mana costs, requires items like
as well. In Team Fights he works as a front line fighter, applying stuns to keep the opposing front line at bay and slowly inching closer to the opposing back line. If he can reach his squishy targets, he will make short work of them with the high damage on his Crystal Edge and Ultimate.
Appearance: I'm not a good artist, so I don't have any visual aids, but in my mind he is a heavily-armored Freljordian knight, champion of a small tribe of humans who live in the frozen north. He has heavy, frosted plate armor with a sinister icy hue. He brandishes a long, blue-steel 2-handed blade encrusted with icy skulls, which he attacks with in sweeping arc. During his Crystal Edge, he stabs this sword forward. He has long, pitch black that he wears swept back and he constantly has on an almost cruelly bored expression.
So what do you guys think? Any suggestions? I just wanted a simple champion without all of those complicated features that feel foreign on recent champions. His abilities may seem strong with their numbers, but their cooldowns are also long, fitting with his theme.
